Yesterday, I shared the awards for best health conference of 2011…

Today, I have the best health company of 2011. Now, I have to be clear here… there are dozens of companies that could have won this award. The two we mention today are two that we appreciate and enjoy. There, again, are many more. (That’s why we do this every year, so we can name new ones and also reward the ones that keep on top of their game.)

Here they are (for those of you who prefer written, I have them listed below as well!)…

Your question of the day: What companies do you think deserve to be the best health companies of 2011?

Click here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and leave your comments now!

For those of you non-viewers:

Runner Up for Best Health Company: Healthforce Nutritionals (www.HealthForce.com)

Jameth Sheridan is definitely passionate about what he does. One thing that makes his company stand out is that he’s passionate about the quality of his product. This is why Healthforce makes runner-up this year!

Top-Dog for Best Health Company: Organic Avenue (www.OrganicAvenue.com)

This year, we’ve had an opportunity to be around Organic Avenue – their locations in New York and their people – and we’re impressed. They are growing in a time when everyone else seems to be hunkering down. This means they’re doing some good things. They’re a local Manhattan based healthy cafe / shop / boutique, so you won’t find them everywhere, but if you’re in New York, be sure to visit one of their locations to find out why we like them so much!

Live Awesome!

Since then, he’s written and edited 6 books on the subject of natural health, diet and fitness. During this time, he’s constantly been humbled by what experts claim they know and what actually is true. This has led him to experiment with many diets and protocols — including vegan, raw food, fasting, medical treatments and more — to find out what is myth and what really works in the real world.

I love Mountain Rose Herbs (mountainroseherbs.com) and HealthForce.com

  2. Patrick says:

    I just love Innate Response!

  3. Bill says:

Can I vote for my own business? No, I guess not! LOL

Well, I would love to put in a vote for you guys in the USA, but I would have to say that Extreme Superfoods here in Australia are my favourite for 2011. (other than my own business of course)

Damian from Extreme Superfoods is a great guy, is passionate about helping others and has awesome products. He is also very ethical and is great to do business with.

  4. linda redsar says:

My top pick is HealthForce.com. Dr. James Sheridan is humble and definately committed. He offered the volunteers a 50% discount for his products to the volunteers at the end of the previous Longevity Now Conference.

  5. Nancy Davidson says:

Usana Health Sciences, the “Gold Standard” of supplements!! They changed my life over 11 years ago…

  6. dorothty rimbold says:

A few of my favorite companies are

    Seagate Products http://www.seagateproducts.com/

    BioActive Nutrients http://www.bioactivenutrients.com/

    NSC Immunition – Frank Jordan

    Healthy Perceptions

    Long Life Unlimited

  7. isabelle says:

What do yo think about Billy Merrit’s superfood Infinity Greens? http://www.infinitygreens.com/

I think they are super and I also totally agree with you about Jameth Sheridan…his products are well formulated and researched. I use them too. they are excellent

  8. Fern Rancourt says:

I live on a far away island in the northern Pacific in Canada and don’t have access to the fresh produce and other excellent products sold in the US. But the Max International Company that I found lately and its flagship nutritional supplement MaxGXL which can help improve about any condition and has been called “the medical breakthrough of the century” gets my vote for the BEST company! Have a look at max.com if you want to see why. I promise you are in for a surprise about glutathione and its major role in the body…

  9. Karen says:

Every time I’ve connected with the Longevity Warehouse, it has been an awesome experience. But I think the world of Jameth Sheridan too.

  10. Sandi Neal says:

My vote would be Amazing Grass based in San Francisco and grass grown in Kansas. Good to have you back on video Kevin, don’t like reading.

  11. Linda Miller says:

I don’t know if they are in the exact category you are looking at but I love Hallelujah Acres because they are so well rounded, providing teaching, training, wonderful magazines, weekly emails, great products.

  12. i think that nurish has the best products. they have tons of variety and it is done through a insta fresh drying porcess so the food lasts about a year and it is not heated above 10 degress F so it is very healthy although i beleive it is the best. i stick to just juicing fresh organic produce because even though pre made stuff is fast and easy it is not nearly as healthy.

  13. correction a 100 degrees F

  14. sorry and i guess nuriche is spelled with an e on the end and a c instead of a s

  15. Faye says:

As a Canadian that is living in China, I would have to say, hands down, Raw Food World! These guys have a wide variety of products and get their products shipped at a reasonable rate. When a shipment was lost once and I contacted them asking them where it was, they responded immediately and shipped it out again. There are so many great vendors, but when you don’t live in the US, it becomes a bit tricky with Customs, and shipping fees!

  16. Barbara W. says:

What I would give to have an Organic Avenue locally…….seems like a great place 🙂

  17. Marla King says:

I know that consumable product is what you are talking about, BUT! I have to mention the amazing book selections that are not included with normal book lists…Skyview Books and Music has the bar none best selection of right on the mark health info.
The catagories are NOT limited to body health info but include mental, spiritual, and emotional which we know are just as important! For the non-consumable tools that last a lifetime, I challenge the bravely curious to just give it a try! Just call 530 722-7585! Thanks!

  18. Bob Harrison says:

Healthforce Nutritionals gets my vote. I appreciate the purity of the products they offer. In addition to proper nutrition, Jameth Sheridan is also a strong proponent of physical exercise and other aspects of healthy living. The man walks his talk.

  19. marie-andree says:

I live in Ontario (Canada), and my best company is Upaya Naturals. Better price than buying in U.S. and free shipping until the end of December. If you want something and they don’t have it, they will find it. Happy Holidays Kevin, you are doing a fantastic job. I wish I could find the equivalent in French for my friends in Quebec.

  20. Shameless plug… I’m pretty proud of Stockton Aloe.

  21. Pat Knowles says:

Thank you Debby & Bob for your Christmas wishes! We in return are sending you Very Happy, Healthy, Wonderful Hanukkah!!!
Hope all your girls and family will be with you!!
    Love,
    Jack & Pat

  22. Fabby C. says:

Thanks Kev! I have the Vitamineral Greens by Health Force in my fridge right now, and I think it is a pretty awesome product/company. I will have to look into Organic Avenue!

P.S. That shade of purple is a great background color for you Kev! 🙂

Thank you KEVIN AND ANNEMARIE…you guys run a pretty darn awesome health related business yourself!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK in 2012!!!

  23. I have no idea about the sites.
    WISHING YOU KEVIN AND ANNEMARIE,
    season’s Greetings!
Let all the coming Years as bright as the Past!

  24. Brenda says:

I am a fan of HealthForce.com. Dr. James Sheridan’s products have a high vibration. 😀

  25. Kerry Wailes says:

I live in Australia, so I don’t know many of the companies you list. This year, I’ve been introduced to Young Living Essential Oils, (YLEO)which is a US- based company.

I have been blown away by YLEO’s oils and nutritional products and viewpoints, (big emphasis on cleansing), by the company’s philosophy and that of Gary Young.

I’m a yoga teacher and masseur, and have been into my own ‘Renegade Health’ for many years. I am now exploring the use of highest quality essential oils, (along with diet, belief and attitude), in the healing process. I have had some amazing results in a short period, including straightening the spine of a friend with long-standing, (30 year), scoliosis after 3 ‘Raindrop’ YLEO treatments within a month.

I have used essential oils for a long time, but I’ve never had such faith in them, nor the results I’m getting now. This company is definitely worth a look.
    Regards,
    Kerry

  26. Roxanne says:

I love Hallelujah Acres also as well as the others mentioned, but if you do your own research you can find products at reasonable prices at Vitacost.com and iherbs.com

  27. Barbara says:

I live in the UK and vote for The Fresh Network for raw foodies and Wholistic Research Company for their wide range of health equipment and excellent customer service.

  28. Shari says:

I also like Garden of Life!

  29. Lynn says:

Healthleads in the UK for me, they provide all the products that the Dr Hulda Clark protocols approves of and loads more and also all the machinery is washed down regularly with non toxic biodegradable cleaning agents which they also sell, safe and clean, I work in production so I know how spotless the place is!

  30. Have not tried Haelthforce, but I will now. Also love Vega by Brendan Brazier. I do half marathons and po ares and these products fuel me. They are also simple and whole food based.

  31. Anna21 says:

Mt Rose Herbs is my all time favorite company because of their commitment to providing organic/ sustainably wildcrafted herbs, conservation efforts & their zero waste facility. Most companies talk a good game, but Mt. Rose Herbs ‘walks the walk’.

  32. Dean Shaw says:

I think DR.Mercola has to be one of the Best of the BIG one’s have learnt so much from him over the past 2yrs.

  33. Leslie Muse says:

I am really loving what Young Living Essential Oils are capable of. Frankensense kills cancer cells! NingXiaRed promotes normal cell function w/in 1st 15 minutes of drinking it! Thieves oil has a really cool history, and keeps sickness away! You should check out what Gary Young is doing w/ this company! Hospitals are even starting to use the oils!
I also recommend starting an Organic Avenue in Norman OK. and Dallas TX. Thank You!

  34. Em says:

The AWESOME thing here is the fact that there are so many companies doing such good work that we can have this discussion about which are the best!!! I love the fact that people are supporting these health companies all over the world and becoming more and more informed 🙂

    Yaaay health companies!!!!

peace and love to you ALLLLL 🙂 Em

  35. Velda says:

Thanks, Kevin. I will check out Health Force. There are some really good companies out there. I know you wouldn’t nominate yourself, but you and Annmarie are really the best. So well rounded with the products and information you impart, passionate, work with integrity. Also, I like Matt and Angela Monarch from Raw Food world. They seem to be very passionate about bringing very high quality products for health, and also work with integrity.

Hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas.

  36. Victoria says:

Organic Avenue is great! Another great company in Manhattan is Live LIve!

  37. Satori says:

    My pick is Healthforce Nutritionals.

Reason 1: I like their mission and how they’re making change.

Reason 2: Can’t live without Vitamineral Green.

Reason 3: I think Jameth is good looking<3

  38. ben says:

Anyone know where can I find tart cherry powder? All I can find is tart cherry concentrate juice, and I’ve looked in all the usual suspect places mentioned here..

    mountainroseherbs
    extremesuperfoods
    organicavenue
    healthforce
    gardenoflife
    longevitywarehouse
    therawfoodworld
    floridaherbhouse
    maxgxl
    youngevity.net
    global-knife
    thesynergycompany
    sunwarrior

why is tart cherry (Montmorency/sour/Prunus cerasus)powder so difficult to find among raw food health stores?

btw, since Tart cherries are classified into two major groupings, morello (Balaton) and amarelle (Montmorency), I prefer the amarelle variety, but I’ll take either!

  39. Barbara W. says:

Ben, check out Wilderness Family Naturals. They carry tart cherry powder in 8 oz. and 1 lb. sizes.

  40. Lisa Taylor says:

I personally think Young Living should be at the top. I have experienced amazing results for myself and thousands of others with their products and Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. Great that UCLA Hospitals and many others are using Young Living Essential Oils.

  41. I would like to suggest that anything or any company using magnesium stearate as BINDERS should be avoided . check pure encapulations. they do use corn however. thanks for your work kevin. daliya@nontoxic.com

  42. pure encapsulations os correct spelling. sorry

  43. Roxanne says:

I found organic tart cherry juice at vitacost.com. It was the juice and came in glass bottles, reasonably priced. I did have to wait a little longer for it as it was on backorder. Great price though.
