guys that was funny! just wanted to thank you for introducing me to the peaceful mountain products. I bought my mother the joint rescue and it has greatly helped her. she noticed the difference in just a couple of days. thanks again. i hope you get down to miami florida. love debbie

  2. Barbara says:

Thank goodness that was a joke. I was saying to myself during the making what a weird recipe and did not fully catch on until near the end. Speaking of coconuts, my question would be how do you guys open your young thai coconuts. I love the coconut water but am intimidated by opening them.

  3. Erin says:

…I had a feeling when I saw the title, but I wasn’t sure until Kevin said it smelled awful.

  4. Beatriz says:

lol nope, didn’t catch on at all until you guys said it… i was kinda scared for whoever had to try it… also kept wondering where the coconut meat was! lol

  5. DebB says:

Okay – I am SO gullible! I didn’t catch on until you said it was April’s Fool!

That was so mean – I will never believe you again. April Fools!

Honestly though – that was cute, I totally believed you. Good one, I love jokes!

    Debbie *Ü*

  6. Bill says:

What do you mean, you are joking!!!!

It looks delicious, I always have Capers in my Granola!!!

  7. Michael says:

Great show! I just thought you both had gotten into some bad mushrooms. Thanks for posting the Thai soup recipe. It looks like a keeper, Michael

  8. Debra says:

ROFL… make a chopped salad but you have to let it sit in the fridge for 6 days… LOLOL… I’ll let you know in a week what I think… 😉

  9. Tashi says:

Wow, did not see that one coming. I did however wonder if you guys had eaten some cali style raw brownies and got the munchies 😉 Good show.
    Thank you guys,

  10. Geri says:

I completely fell for it! I kept thinking why we need the salad to sit for a week before we use it but I trusted you two, your the experts! that was hilarious!!!! Good one!

  11. Tyra McMahon says:

o.k. you guys really got me. Half way through the show I’m thinking God I’m not going to ever make a soup like that and then I scrolled down to see what others had said and that ‘s when I discovered it was an April Fools Joke. So then I continued to watch it in humour. Well done. The real recipe does sound yummy though. Thanks for bringing a bit of humor and laughter into my home today.

  12. LKE says:

You had me to the end! I was SO confused – chopped salad, garlic sauerkraut?? Why would anyone put those in there??

    Granola? Probiotics? What is this??

    OH!!! Yeah, you got me!

  13. Mara says:

I figured something was wrong when AM put in the probiotic with the capsule and everything. Ick!

  14. Adriana says:

I totally adored this little joke. You are great at making us believe you….I didn’t realized that was something wrong with this recipe until you added the Stevia at the end. Although I never heard about such a combination like: cabbage, mustard, date, coconut and an old staled salad…but I’m used to your creative way to incite our imagination…
Oh, well…you made me smile and I think you had a blast shooting this video.

  15. Amy says:

you guys rock! that was funny! Half way through I am thinking, this is weird and Kevin is acting a little funny – hmmm…….now I get it – LOLOL

Thanks for bringing a little sunshine to the rainy NW …….

  16. John Thornley says:

I forgot it was April fools day. You two really had me worried with the terrible dead ingredients you were using; it’s nice to know you were kidding. I’ll be ready for you next year this time.

  17. Russ says:

I like it when you make recipes that are not 100% raw. Many of us out here are not 100% raw. I am 60 to 80% and love your show.

  18. Russ says:

OMG..I didn’t catch on that this was a joke until after i sent the first messege. That’s funny!

  19. Teri says:

I thought you two had lost your minds, thank GOD it was April fool, uck mustard and coconut?”? Ol salad… LOLOLOl

  20. natalya says:

I got it that this thing was related to April fool at the moment when you started putting stinky cabbage in that “soup”.

  21. Susan says:

LOL – I thought you two had really lost it on this one. I’m pretty open to trying new things and even thought maybe the chopped salad needed to be fermented or something before adding to the soup. When you showed the color of the soup you lost me at that point. I thought this was one recipe I would definitely be trying.

Thanks for making me laugh. By the way – AnnMarie looked bright eyed and energetic today. It’s great to see you two thriving in your new environment.

  22. Susan says:

Correction above . . . it should have said I was definitely “NOT” going to try it. : )

  23. Deborah says:

Well, will have to say you guys are the only ones that were able to pull one over on me to day, thanks for the laughs

  24. Chel says:

Mwhaahahaa! Did you really throw the whole probiotic capsule in there? I forgot it was April Fools. I was just thinking “Man, everybody bombs sometimes, I guess”.
    Well played, Giannis, well played.

  25. Miriam Atzil says:

It is so easy to make and very tasty.
I loved it with my grandchild.
Thank you and more new things.

  26. christine says:

there are raw foods recipes out there that are this convoluted – so i believed you, even with capers and stevia. im SO glad you were joking.

  27. Dr Rona says:

well add me to the you SO had me going
    i was like ohhhh
    odd but ok…

    you GOT ME!!!

    u guys are funny

    happy april fools day!

    xo…beaming to ya,

  28. Paul and Dianne Marshall says:

Hey, it’s Paul and Dianne from Austin!

Dianne: I knew almost immediately, having experience with preparing and eating tons of raw food recipes, this was way off base. With every ingredient you to added, I became much more convinced this has to be a joke of sorts. The kicker for me was that 6 or 7 day old salad that I know Ann Marie would never use in a recipe. And, this goes for you to Kev.

Paul: I thought with Kevin around, there are no left overs, so the 6 or 7 day old salad had me wondering. It appears you may have invented an all natural pest control. I was feeling ugh during the recipe preparation.

    Good Night!

  29. ann gleason says:

    LOL! You guys got me!
Best april fools joke ever, by far!
    I didn’t think it looked very appetizing…
my jaw was dropping in disbelief by the end of it right before you said, “APRIL FOOLS!”

    I’m such a fool!!

  30. Susana says:

Yeah, the kraut got me piqued, then, I thought… Well, maaaaaaybe it’s the GARLIC in it, and on down the path I went with you two… More & more perplexed as the seconds ticked by, but at your side until the end! 🙂
_SO_ glad you two didn’t TASTE IT before announcing the joke! 🙂

  31. Carol Kraft says:

My first April Fools prank today!
I don’t feel so bad now that I was not the only one fooled right up to the end.
Sure glad I was not eating anything while I watched this one because my taste buds were feeling worse with all those wierd combinations you were throwing in. Yuck!
    Good one guys!

  32. Steve says:

Somehow I got taken off your mail list and missed the last 3 days of your shows. Now I’m catching up.

My question is about the Green colored (Evert-Fresh Brand) plastic bags that are supposed to keep fruits & vegetables fresher longer. They really do seem to work, but do they give off some kind of gas, or other toxin since they are plastic?

Please let me know since I’ve been re-using them for almost a year now and want to avoid any more chemicals.

    Thank you,
    Austin, TX

  33. Ariane says:

  34. linda says:

i had looked at the ingredients below before
i watched the show…. as annmarie kept adding stuff that was not in the ingredients list i thought you both were on a different planet or at least using a different page!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as you kept adding weird
stuff i kept thinking this is something i will never make especially with the the old chopped salad and probiotic capsule!!!! hey and it even looked gross!!!!! thanks for the laugh…i thought serious all the way to the end!!!!!

  35. Sara says:

You totally had me! I always put saurcrout in my energysoup…
The only unusual thing I noted was that Kevin – for once – had his attention 100% in the recipe today.

I was totally planning on trying that recipe. Why not? With some coconut milk… Exept I’ll go with fresh sallad, and maybe skip the Stevia. 😉

  36. John says:

I was wondering why the recipe didn’t match with what you were adding. 🙂 I figured it out by reading a few of the posts as I was watching.

  37. Had me going for a minute, but the old salad flipped a switch (I think it was from Tucson, LOL). You guys are great!

  38. Laura says:

Great April Fool’s joke! I began to catch on when AnnMarie looked around and said, “Mm it smells good” with a look that said, “Ew that really stinks.”

Then I got more suspicious when you guys started saying that certain things stink and laughing. That was so funny!

I also thought something was fishy when you didn’t use the coconut.

    Thanks for the laugh.

  39. Misty says:

Oh my gosh! You guys had me right up to the end! I was sitting here thinking “Wow there is no way I’m trying that recipe. SIX DAY OLD SALAD, are they out of their minds???” Then looking at the finished product I started to get queasy. =)

That was good! Thanks for the laugh!

  40. Marianne says:

That was sooooo funny! It was even more funny the second time when I saw all the crazy things you kept putting in that had dumbfounded me the first time!! I thought you were kidding about the salad but then you just carried on…HAHAHA I’m still laughing…
Never posted before(kinda scared of having an online presence…) but have been addicted to your show for many months-you guys are awesome (and Jonny 5 too), thanks:-)
    M x
ps when I get a little braver I will start posting questions for you Kev!

  41. Pat says:

My mouth was watering watching AnnMarie prep. I love watching her, since she does it with such great passion! Hey, did you know there are standard abbreviations e.g. T for Tablespoon and t for teaspoon. I’m a seasoned food preparer from waaaaaaay back.

  42. Pat says:

I knew something was wrong when you started putting lots of unraw stuff in…and 6-day-old salad????? ewwww

  43. Nadia says:

Toooooooo Funny!!!!!! You really had me going and very confused. Felt relieved and laughed so hard when you claimed April Fool’s. WELL DONE! Thanks so much for the biggest laugh I have had all day!
Keep on doing what you are doing,
    Love Nadia

  44. Mari says:

Wow, this was great! I got suspicious when you added the 6 or 7 day old chopped salad. 🙂 Mari

  45. Vaughn Sadekni says:

Oh you guys! grr! I was writing it down and then looking at the ingredients and I was like wait that is not going to be the best ever lol. Nice one!

  46. Kim says:

FUNNY!!you had me up to the 6 day old chopped salad…good thing I wasn’t pausing and fixing it along with you…

    Peace and Blessings

  47. Wow, that sounds great. Adding a coconut to the shopping list to give it a try. Thanks!

  48. Jason says:

Beautifully done. I think that it is great that you guys are having fun and not being extreme super serious militant raw foodist. I see you as whole foodist. We all need not to take ourselves so seriously. The Rawfood yahoo site I read in Seattle is full of serious raw fooders and food hygenist. I get tired of them taking it all super seroius and not taking in the whole picture of just health and all the diversity of foods, elixirs, herbs and fermented foods that this world offers us. Love the cat scratching the couch tearing it up like mine. Thanks for all you do you two.

  49. Irina says:

That was soooo funny! You guys had me going until Annmarie put stevia to garnish it. Thank you for the fun and jokes, and not taking everything too serious. Great show!

  50. Avril says:

    That was hilarious!!!
I didn’t catch on at all, it’s April 3 today though, April fools wasn’t in my mind anymore.
Good thing I wasn’t going to make it anyways. Too many ingredients that I don’t have, and I didn’t want to buy.
That was brilliant though. Thanks for the laugh!
    Kind Regards,

  51. Cynthia says:

What a great joke! I knew you were joking because of the 6 or 7 day old salad, YUCK!!
Being raw I would never eat anything that old! And I know you would not either.
    Thanks for the laugh!!!!!!!!!!!

  52. Lisa Tomasi says:

    Yall got me..
    didn’t catch on although
the combo sounded not so good…
    that was a good one…
    xoxoox Thanks for the laughs..

  53. Lizzie May says:

Hilarious! Since I didn’t watch this on April Fools, and honestly forgot about the holiday altogether, I was writing everything down, googling that granola, telling my mom to start making a chopped salad NOW so I could enjoy this next week. Can’t wait for next years April fools two are good!

  54. Estrella says:

LOL! I started getting suspicious with the chopped salad until I thought maybe you were fermenting it. But then the Laughing Giraffe bits and the stevia drops, capers… My mouth started puckering up. Too Funny!

  55. Amy Tuggle says:

Too funny, it took me a while to catch on because I am a week late watching this one. Right around the chopped salad, I had decided that this was not a recipe for me. 😉
Anne Marie, you are so glowing in this video! Glad that you are both enjoying your travels, hope to see you along the way.

  56. martha says:

not funny, i don’t always watch video on day of, started taking notes to all the changes because you guys are like that, busted your credibility. joking is fun but didn’t expect it that way, i was trying to learn…save it for your close friends, not your larger greater audience, not sure i will always believe you now.

  57. Lauri Harvey says:

WOW, Martha, PAAALLEEEEEEAAASSEEE try to RELAX! Life is much easier with laughter and that was FUNNY!! I was Cracking UP!! K&AM you guys are awesome.

Martha, You might want to check out this website. Maybe it can help loosen you up a little!

  58. OK, it took almost a month for me to realize this was an April Fool’s joke, how sad is that? I didn’t see the video, just the recipe, and it did sound interesting. I have a coconut and everything, came back to print out the recipe, and oops… hehe. Perhaps I should just make Pina Coladas instead. 🙂

KT <— needs a vacation, or maybe some soup

  59. Gayle Waxon says:

WOW! That was REALLY funny. I watched it last night because I have been looking for more raw soup recipes and I was excited to find your recipe, so I watched so I could take notes and make sure I do it RIGHT!

Well, I was so confused through the whole video and I was making conclusions that you are not perfect in the raw food world! Well, in the very end when the truth came out I LAUGHED and LAUGHED and then I woke up in the middle of the night and laughed again! 🙂

Thank you for showing your WONDERFUL humor once again! I love you both! You are AWESOME!
    Sincerely, Gayle – Seattle/Kingston WA
