    Hi Kevin,
Great show!!! I also use medicine balls in both my mine and my personal training clients workouts. A good exercise that I do is to hold the medicine ball in front of my body for as long as possible- a 4kg medicine ball will feel like 40 kg within 30 seconds!!
You’re awesome Kevin-keep up the great work!!
    Bonnie

Good stuff Kevin! What are your thoughts regarding the long intensity Vs. HIIT for fat loss debate?

Thanks for sharing Bonnie! I’ll have to try that!

My thoughts on HIIT training and long duration cardio are simple… do what works :-)

HIIT training is great for quick workouts and metabolism boosting.

Long duration is great for your heart and detoxification (remember your lymph doesn’t have a pump)

Long duration, if done too much for too long periods of time can cause excessive oxidation and acidity in the body.

HIIT training if done too much can also do the same.

If you’re already stressed, I recommend long duration with less HIIT. If you’re cool, calm and collected, you can benefit more from HIIT.

I’ll do a show on this one… great question!

    Kev

    Great answer Kev!

This is the first time I’ve gotten a sensible answer about it. As with most things, the answer is usually somewhere in the middle if you view it from a health perspective or more appropriately, a holistic health perspective.

I love your “do what works for you” motto. This has been my own philosophy that I impart to my clients.

ooops! I hit submit before I was finished typing. Thanks Kevin for the great answers!

    Hey Kevin,
Loved the medicine ball work out. Especially the ab one. It’s killer! Quick things that work - thanks. I’m more likely to do it.
    BTW what is HIIT?
    Thanks
    Janice
