Since we’re running the Great Health Debate all week, I just can’t humanly spend the time on a new show as well!

All this week, we’ll be running some classic, popular back episodes so you can watch them and reminisce.

Some of you may have never seen these as well, so it will give you a chance to catch up on some of the most important shows we have!

Today, I’m going to share one of our most popular shows of all time. Every time we go out to events, at least one person comes up to me and says they passed this video along to someone.

The video is a little demonstration on why you might want to eat organic foods. (Check out the old graphics!)

Take a look…

Your question of the day: What do you think about this video? Would you pass it along?

Kevin Gianni is a health author, activist and blogger. He started seriously researching personal and preventative natural health therapies in 2002 when he was struck with the reality that cancer ran deep in his family and if he didn’t change the way he was living — he might go down that same path. Since then, he’s written and edited 6 books on the subject of natural health, diet and fitness. During this time, he’s constantly been humbled by what experts claim they know and what actually is true. This has led him to experiment with many diets and protocols — including vegan, raw food, fasting, medical treatments and more — to find out what is myth and what really works in the real world.

Kevin has also traveled around the world searching for the best protocols, foods, medicines and clinics around and bringing them to the readers of his blog RenegadeHealth.com — which is one of the most widely read natural health blogs in the world with hundreds of thousands of visitors a month from over 150 countries around the world.

  1. I have never seen this show before so it was really good that you post it again!!!! I think, among many others.. that Organic food is the “normal” food but so many people think that “normal” food is the non-organic food that has pesticides and chemicals…. and that we who try to only eat organic food are strange people and that “it’s soooo unneccessary” to buy organic food. This really irritates me! So I will definitely pass this video on to my friends and family!!!

Maybe they will get it why I buy organic food after watching this video…. Hmm..
I will get back to you with the “result” haha.. ;D

Thank you again Kevin and Annmarie for doing what you are doing!!=)

  2. Love your show! I do have a pressing question though… My husband is on SS and I’m unemployed. We have a Jack Lelane Juicer but our blender is really crappy and old. I was wondering, if I juice our fruits and veggies in the juicer then take the pulp and put it in the blender with the juice, would that still be as nutritious? Personally, I think the juicer alone is kind of wasteful. We don’t compost in our apartment and I don’t have a dehydrator to make good use of the pulp otherwise.

I know you’re very busy right now but whenever you have a chance to answer my question, I’ll be all ears! Thank you for providing such great information and recipes to the public. You two are the greatest! Thanks again!

It appears the bugs and insects have more sense not to eat sprayed food. We humans have a lot to learn from them.

Question ?? Is it possible to remove the spray once it is on the fruit and vegetable ?? Who are responsible for the sickness that develops from the sprayed food ?? Does the FDA approve of this method ?? This is why so many people are getting sick with all types of unknown conditions.??? Isn’t it worth playing safe than sorry knowing our health is at stake. What good is living a long life in a wheel chair or be bed ridden or getting around with a walker in your old age ???

  4. Darlene Santano says:

I think this video gets the point across pretty clearly for all those “non believers”!

I love organic and buy it whenever possible, especially in summer when the farmer’s markets are in full swing! They have awesome produce!

  5. Kt says:

How do you educate towns that routinely have the pesticide trucks travel from house to house and spray everything? Places in AZ have neighborhoods where people have difficulty breathing for days when the spray trucks make their rounds….

I’ve heard also that the honey bees are rarely seen there anymore…
    Any relation?

    Thank you.

  6. It was hard to watch you use that can of raid! I’ve eaten 95% organic for 20 years and am highly sensitive to chemicals. Even with the protective gear you used, I would have gotten ill from the exposure to the amount you sprayed, yikes.

Hopefully this video will drive the point home for people. Many people over the years ask us how we can afford to eat organic or say that they can’t afford it. To me that is like asking how can I afford to eat. Organic is real food, period and it costs what it costs. If you have a problem with the cost of food, contact your government representatives and tell them to stop subsidizing meat, dairy, GMO, mono-cropping industrial farms and start supporting small organic farms.

  7. Chris says:

    Hi,

I was just wondering if that spray was the same as what is used on our crops?

    What is the similarity?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I have started buying more organic fruits and veggies but the challenge I have is that I never really know if the item labelled as “organic” really is organic. I don’t trust that the company’s definition of organic is the same as mine. My friend has relatives who are chicken farmers and she told me that even eggs that are selling as “free range” aren’t really free range. She says the chickens might be out of the cage but they’re still cramped inside a small space with little to no running room. I know that is not related to the issue of organic or not but it makes me wonder about the reliability of these food labels…

  9. Dee says:

Great video, no I don’t want to eat any of that food.

  10. Roberta McMillian says:

I missed that video! Thanks for putting it up again. You get better every day! Such a good demo of why it is important to eat organic. Let’s see, if it kills bug then why would we believe it would not be harmful to us humans. Thanks Kevin and Annmarie. Love to you both.

  11. Jan Kent says:

All pesticides are just as dangerous as “Raid” and this is what is sprayed on our crops. I buy organic whenever possible and try never to eat non-organic. All fruit and veg should be washed whether organic or not in a solution of water to which has been added some vinegar. This practice makes sure that no contaminants have affected the veg or fruit on its way to you.
Kevin you do a fantastic job in educating the public and i do admire your efforts. Bless you and yours

  12. Jan Kent says:

Here in England for something to be sold as organic it must have a certificate that has been verified before it can be sold. As to “free range ” then the hens MUST have room to scratch and find natural food and have access to outdoors. To be sure about “freerange ” you can always ask your local RSPCA or other animal welfare organisation to make a spot check and deal with any company that is not adhering to the rule of “Free range”. I ahve done this myself on quite a few occasions and had positive results.

  13. Barbara says:

My husband worked on a farm when he was young and breathed in lots of pesticides. Now he has Parkinson’s Disease. My father in law once said he and his workmates used to play around and spray each other with pesticides when they were spraying the citrus groves – every one of them died of Cancer. Pesticides are definitely a serious health risk to humans.

  14. Janette says:

Thank you Jan Kent, for the information!

  15. Mary says:

Good subject. Would love to see the video. All I got was a black box with no way to view anything. I take it you did a demo by spraying food with Raid. Pretty drastic and dramatic, but it seems to have made a point with those who could see it. Actually, the toxins used in the fields by many AgriBusinesses (not farmers) are even more harmful than Raid, even though they are applied in a much finer mist. (don’t be fooled by the elegance of the two words, “fine” and “mist.” Some of the most beautiful objects, even in nature, are deadly.

  16. Lea Fish says:

Not only is this funny but it gets the message out. This vidoe demonstrates the same thing I’ve been thinking. Would you spray windex or raid on your food? No? Then why are you eating it? Thanks for putting it this out there!!!!!!!! Awesome.
