Sunrise on the Winter Solstice in Cusco. Amazing.
It’s Annmarie’s day to shine today…
We’re in LA right now and Ann is being filmed for an upcoming program with Donna Gates and a bunch of other really cool women.
I’m just the support today, so it’s fun to be on the other side of the game.
Today, I want to talk about Vitamin D and the sun. (Since we’re in SoCal, it’s appropriate!)
For a long time I was under the impression that you could get all your Vitamin D from sitting out in the sun for 15-30 minutes a day.
Over the last few years, we’ve spent a ton of time in the sun… whether it was on the beach, hiking, running, or just hanging out at a park.
So when I got my Vitamin D tested, I assumed that my D levels would be fine.
As most people do… because they’ve been told that the sun was sufficient.
I assumed Annmarie’s would be even better because for as long as I’m in the sun, she would spend at least twice the time (in a bathing suit).
The reality is that our D levels were not good at all.
Mine was 23 ng/mL and Annmarie’s was at 22 ng/mL.
These are low levels for those of you who don’t have any idea.
I wondered if other people were experiencing the same thing.
So I’ve made it a point to ask whoever I can about Vitamin D.
The shocker is this…
I’ve talked to people who spend time in the sun and have tested as low as 9 ng/mL!
So the challenge here is that for a good number of people, the common knowledge about Vitamin D and the sun is somewhat of a falsehood. (It’s not completely untrue, but based on evidence from testing, it may not be as accurate as we think.)
There are considerations like your distance from the equator, your natural skin oils, the way you bathe and likely many more that will interfere with your ability to get D from the sun.
But back to the levels…
What’s even more interesting is that the lab reference range for Vitamin D is between 32-100 ng/mL.
At the bottom of that reference range, you still are significantly deficient.
But if you went to a doctor’s office or even a natural health practitioner, they might tell you that you were OK at 32 ng/mL and send you on your way.
Low Vitamin D has recently been linked to weakened immune systems, increased risk of cancer and other hormonal issues.
So you could leave the office thinking you’re fine and really not be – leading to possible future health challenges.
So what are the optimal reference ranges?
I asked Dr. J.E. Williams about these ranges and he gave me his own thoughts after working with thousands of patients over the last 30 years.
He’s seen the best health, and research has shown as well, in people who’s levels are between 70-100 ng/mL!
70 is pretty far away from 32 – it’s more than a 100% increase.
This is a huge gap that needs to be brought to the public.
So what do we do?
First off, we need to realize that maybe what we’ve been taught isn’t always right.
So if we spend plenty of time in the sun, this isn’t an assurance that we have plenty of vitamin D.
We need to test.
But even that’s not enough…
We also need to realize that our health practitioners may not know about the optimal levels of nutrients that produce radiant health.
They may only be working in an old paradigm…
Or worse a paradigm of averages.
Your average reference range is going to get you average health.
That’s not what I’m looking for and I’m sure it’s not what you want either.
What’s even more surprising is that MANY of the lab reference ranges are not where we want OUR levels to be.
Vitamin D is just one.
The good news is that there are people who know what the optimal ranges are.
But, of course, they’re few and far in between.
That’s why I asked Dr. Williams to put together a program with me that would outline the optimal levels for blood testing based on his 30 years of experience and over 100,000 patient visits.
Viewers like you have been asking for a program like this for a few years…
Finally, we were able to put it together to give you the tools you need to help take your own health into your hands.
(And do it at a fraction of the cost it would be if you spent an hour of time with Dr. Williams!)
You can read more about the program and what’s included here…
http://www.renegadehealth.com/bloodtests
The program is over 4 hours of education on how to read blood tests, how to know what tests are for you and how to identify the optimal levels for all people on all diets.
(Including vegan and vegetarian diets)
It’s comprehensive… so comprehensive that while we were recording, I joked to Dr. Williams that this should be a college course required for every student to take.
I guarantee you’ll get some great value from it.
What’s even better, is that we’ve decided to offer the program initially at a discounted price.
As you know, I like to reward people who take action. (Action is what really motivates change)
So for this first week, until September 6th, we’re offering the program at almost 50% off the $97 price.
The price until that deadline will be $49.95.
You can get it here right now…

Alright, I’m off to be Ann’s support!
She’s going to be awesome!
Live Awesome!
Kev
PS. I hope you get the program and learn a bunch. (we did it for you!) I’m convinced your level of health is directly related to your eduction.
