That is the longest title we’ve ever had for a Renegade Health Show… LOL!

This question was posed by Alexandra yesterday, and it’s such an important question, I decided to focus on it today (and literally stop the presses… or the editing…).

So today, I talk about good and bad fermentation. I also talk about why money shouldn’t be an excuse for you getting healthy!

Take a look…

Your question of the day: Tell us about a time you had no money and manifested some!

Kevin Gianni is a health author, activist and blogger. He started seriously researching personal and preventative natural health therapies in 2002 when he was struck with the reality that cancer ran deep in his family and if he didn’t change the way he was living — he might go down that same path. Since then, he’s written and edited 6 books on the subject of natural health, diet and fitness. During this time, he’s constantly been humbled by what experts claim they know and what actually is true. This has led him to experiment with many diets and protocols — including vegan, raw food, fasting, medical treatments and more — to find out what is myth and what really works in the real world.

Kevin has also traveled around the world searching for the best protocols, foods, medicines and clinics around and bringing them to the readers of his blog RenegadeHealth.com — which is one of the most widely read natural health blogs in the world with hundreds of thousands of visitors a month from over 150 countries around the world.

Hi, I was wondering if people can still put in applications for the 30 day Raw food Transformation, and if so, how do we go about doing that…I apologize if this question was already answered….i’ve missed a few shows since I started a new job.

  2. Mary Artemis says:

    Hi,
I returned some stuff and started some new businesses using my husband’s talents! Doing it now as we speak!

Nice gold bandana, matches beard. No money ? I went out and got a job.

  4. Anne Hunt says:

I stated every time I picked up my mail that I would have money come to me and harm to no one and I opened my wallet at the full moon and stated “fill it up, fill it up, fill it up” I received a check for $20,000.00 from my father that I was not expecting. That was a wonderful surprise -not that I received money but the manner that I received it.

  5. Taylor says:

    Hawked a guitar.

Loved this show, prioritize. I still take you serious in the bandana!

  6. Cindy says:

Oh I have just learned how to truly dial this in.

I do a meditation and imagine a satellite dish in which I ask for abundance to be received through a direct channel from the crown of my head to the base of my spine and down to ground myself with Mother Earth.

When I first started this in December, within 48 hours, I received a notice of unclaimed property from an old bank account for $2k! I recently asked for abundance so I could attend the Donna Gates certification program, and within 48 hours, nearly the exact amount needed was provided by helping someone with their health challenges.

Remember tho…ya gotta believe to receive. :)

  7. Nick says:

Back in 2000 I got a job opportunity to teach taiji (tai chi) on a cruiseship in S.E. Asia. I was teaching in a good number of community centres back home, but lived on a shoestring, as the pay wasn’t so good vs. the base cost of living at the time. So I was flown to Hong Kong & chose to go early so I could train with the people in the parks there. Basically, that was doing pushhands, the two person training that’s kind of a combination of play, exercise & highly detailed study. Well I ran out of money just days before I was to board the ship & start working. I asked for an advance from the cruise ship company & was rejected. Then dejected, as I was walking back to my ultra-cheap hotel, head hanging the crowd on the sidewalk before me seemed to part & a 500 HK dollar note sat laying on the ground seeming not to belong to anybody I could see standing or walking around it. I picked it up & it took me thru the few remaining days before I started teaching on the high seas

  8. Jen says:

In my experience I’ve found that by giving to others from a place of goodness with no expectations of receiving anything in return, that I am given all that I need, money and whatever else.

Kevin, I completely agree with you. When we align ourselves with goodness and are living with a greater purpose, all we will ever need comes.

I loved your show today. You spoke such truth. I love your t-shirt and bandana and would much rather see you in that than a “stuffy” suit. Many are just too caught up in appearance. We need to ask ourselves “What truly matters?”

  9. Quinny says:

Are you kidding me? You look great with that bandana! Better than without it. LOL…

Actually, something did happen when I started to visualize “money comes easily”. My brother has sent me some money when I needed it the most (to heal my illness). Then an ex-employer called to offer me work. And because my health got better, I could take that job. Isn’t it amazing?

  10. Jeff Edmunds says:

pulled some old stuff out of the garage and sold it online !

  11. mark rieke says:

    Hi Kevin and Annmarie!

Really enjoyed seeing you last month in Sarasota…

I was wondering if it might be fun to discuss some films where healthy food is a central part. For example, Gandhi where he was a vegetarian and fasting or K-Pax where Kevin Spacey, the alien, only ate raw fruits (including the banana peels!), etc.

BTW although we all know that what we wear is irrelevant, I have often noticed that when I am dressed up people tend to take me more seriously. Don’t get me wrong, I hate to dress up.

  12. Tara Burner says:

Hey there…funny you mention how people are dressed…I had a woman on FB continually tell me for over a year that I should have a pic of me in a ‘suit’ rather than in the woods in a tee! ummm NO thanks! that’s not ‘me’, I prefer laid back casual….clothing doesnt make one knowledgeable or experienced! the bandanna works for me!

Manifesting money…one yr got hit w/damage from hurricane, lost money, lost things and rent was due..apt. complex had no mercy & demanded $ or move out-prayed, stood in faith and the monies I needed were given to me by friends (online and local) and church too.

I also believe in tithing/giving/helping others and it comes back in some form or another :)

  13. Rene Oswald says:

Sold some things I no longer used on ebay and it not only gave me the money I needed but helped clear out my living space and my whole being felt lighter!

  14. Rene Oswald says:

Love the casual look, never like getting “dressed up”….especially those crazy, high heel shoes some crazy person thought women should wear. I’ve helped so many woman who’ve had trouble with their feet after years of wearing them….sorry off the subject a little…

  15. Sophia says:

    Thanks for the advice!!!

  16. Marlene Smith says:

If you don’t stress about “not having money” and think about what you really want the money will come. I was moving stuff and came upon a 5 gallon water jug that we had been putting change it. It didn’t look like much but I needed to get rid of the jug so I took it into the bank and SURPRISE there was almost $500!

  17. I meditate to raise my vibration. It really does work. The secret is commercial but it really does work. I’ve sat in meditation with my mantra being: “money comes to me easily and frequently in avalanches of abundance.” Sure enough money showed up every time. Do I do it all the time? No…should I? Yes.

It’s all about abundance consciousness vs poverty consciousness. When you think that your income is limited to your job you’re fooling yourself. There are so many ways to make money in this world and now with the internet the possibilities are truly limitless.

Feel good is the last thing in The Secret. This the key to all happiness. Make feeling good your number one priority. Also, learning to practice stillness will help with health, wealth, peace of mind and happiness….GUARANTEED!

  18. It’s all about making a choice and like you said – taking stock of your priorities. If you’re paying $400 bucks a month for cable or $250 bucks a month for a cell phone or $150 bucks a month for fast food, your priorities are really not on your, they’re on selling your health, happiness and well being to a company. Put yourself first and realize that there is nothing external you need to make you happy. We spend money on frivolous things because, on some level, we believe we will attain happiness by consuming or purchasing this item. Happiness is an inside job.

I have always found jobs that related to what I really wanted to do and money just came. When I wanted to travel I worked for the airline, wanted a house worked for real estate. Get in shape Gym teacher, Surf the internet comuter teacher. I agree with you about priority it kills me when people driving a 50,000 car and have thousands of dollars in worthless jewlery complain that organic food is to expensive.

  21. Michele says:

Great show, Kevin. To manifest money I just acknowledge everyday that money keeps coming to me easily and effortlessly…I tell the universe how grateful and blessed I am, and money just keeps showing up. And so it is! All is well.
    Namaste!
    Michele

  22. Heather says:

I think the yellow bandana is way too sirius. Go with a rasberry berret made with RAW ORGANIC rasberries next time you want to make a point about suits on a RENEGADE RAW FOOD show or else wear fruit o the loons. This is probably Kev’s way of rebutting all the comments about his cute curly Q’s…ahem…by covering them up! He doesn’t want us to be distracted from the contents of his brain…LOL!

I used this priortize princple when weighing chiropractic correction. I would eventually like to get some blood testing in later and will be looking for ways to priortize later. Hopefully I’ll learn more about it in the meantime, as I don’t know much about it. Would love to hear more abouut others experiences with this, too. *hint…hint*

One way I have manifested cash is to sell goods we no longer need. Sometimes I will pick up stuff rummaging or junkin’ because I think I will be able to resell it on e bay for more than I paid. Sometimes I don’t spend…and poof…more cash in hand.

Thanks for answering this question, as I had been wondering simularly.

  23. I like how you look Kevin, no matter what you wear or have on your head.

As always, thanks for your insights and thoughts as I appreciate who you both are and I learned fromm a Feng Shui expert that if you carry a 100 dollar bill in your wallet and never spend it, you will always generate money and also keep it in a red wallet (I keep it hidden in a pocket in the wallet where no one else knows about it)

I cut back on food, driving, and phone service stopped nonessentials like magazines, books, and clothes.
And kepted focused on my goal.

  25. Paul says:

    Kevin,
I agree with you; it is just a matter of prioritizing. Money always follows good ideas. Kevin, keep the good ideas coming for us!

  26. Michael T. says:

    Kevin,

Here are some more thoughts about fermentation:

When foods such as cabbage or soybeans are fermented, they go through several phases. At first, the food is covered with nasty bacteria and is not edible. Then, those bacteria die off and the beneficial bacterial move in. That’s why home-made sauerkraut has to ferment for several weeks, so it can go through its phases and get to the good part.

Also, in the presence of oxygen, sugar will ferment first to alcohol and then to vinegar. That’s why fermented foods tend to taste sour — it’s the vinegar. If the fermentation is happening in your intestines there is no oxygen present, so you get alcohol, lactic acid and other nasty stuff.

Fruit is okay when eaten alone because the sugars absorb quickly, usually within 30 minutes, so they don’t ferment. But when foods are poorly combined, such as fruit with protein and fat, the food stays in the digestive system much longer and has more time to ferment.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Michael T.

  27. Carol says:

I love you guys, but you look stoned! maybe it’s the bandanna… I have often manifested money when it looked like nothing was forthcoming. You have to focus and clear your mind of all neg thoughts. Sit outside and go through your gratitide list…focus on your desire….

  28. Melissa says:

    Hey Kevin,

I have ANOTHER question on fermenting fruit in your gut. I have tried many times to follow the 80/10/10 diet and one of the big problems I have is with gas, lots of it and always in the evening. I read that you shouldn’t combine fruit with protein or citrus fruit with other fruit. I have avoided these situations and still find I have problems.

Is there anything else that can cause it? I have been drinking kombucha off and on (mostly on) for several years so I like to think I have a healthy supply of good bacteria? How does one know for sure? Thanks!

and as for your question on money, in my early adult years I was often been between a rock and a hard place regarding money, like even facing eviction or wondering where our next meal would come from, but I always knew that something would come through and it always did.

For example, once it was manifested as a medicare rebate check because the private insurance company paid too much – this is the check that kept me and my oldest daughter from getting evicted. I don’t think I ever “manifested” anything myself but someone was always looking out for us.

    Thanks for all you do,
    Melissa

  29. Brynda says:

I was living alone in 1975 in my small hometown. I had evolved from new age and had become a Christian. I started spending all of my time going to and fro all manner of Christian gatherings instead of doing my art, etc. I found myself dropping my very last dollar into the collection box as I left the meeting on Sunday afternoon. Just trusting God to provide. The next morning I received a check in the mail from an art gallery that had sold a painting that I had forgotten about since moving from there 2 yrs. before. I got back on track after that.

  30. weezie says:

kev…. bandanas and tees = waaaaay better than suits!
ok this is actually so funny this question was asked today… I have been dyyyyyying for a food processor. not wanting to buy something small or inexpensive and forego quality, I’ve been holding out for a larger sized cuisinart. I decided a used one would be ok since they’re such great machines. I have been watching craigslist religiously and as of yesterday found exactly what I wanted…. but better.
I found a seller who won a brand new 11 cup cuisinart in a sweepstakes, but was selling it bc he doesn’t cook and It was taking up space (completely unopened) in his apt. He sold it to me for $75. I can hardly stand it. literally a brand new large cuisinart for 75 bucks. If you really want something, know that it is coming to you. IT IS!!!!

  31. Annie says:

Bob Proctor says to repeat this every day.

I am so happy & gratefull now that money comes to me in increasing quantities throught multiple sources on continues basis.

  32. elle~b says:

I’m currently listing all my overpriced clothing on eBay to pay for the Direct Labs testing that I want…As for the bandanna; I think you should be hosting the show wearing one of those Persian Fezzes with the tassle on top, but that’s just me…

  33. Gina says:

I have either gotten another job or like now I rent out a room in the house for more income. Kevin, you look adorable in the bandanna. But why is it that most raw foodists look like (and sometimes act like) they are back in Woodstock. The Peace and Love days!

  34. Marie1225 says:

    Hi Kev,

Honestly, I don’t believe that I attract money. What I do know is that money is a gift from the Lord. He gives when he deems appropriate. I don’t pray for money either.

He blesses me constantly in so many different ways. I, as a daughter of the most high, am always taken care of each day. Right now my funds are low, but He will replenish when it is needed. God is good.

Thanks for all that you and Ann do!

    God Bless you,

    Marie

  35. Marie1225 says:

Ps…Kevin, you look too cute in the bandana. I like your hair though! You and Annmarie are such a beautiful married couple. Marriage is a blessing.

  36. I like the idea of the challenge but I have been doing it since 2008. Found a good balance in a vegan diet for myself. Perfect poor persons diet. I eat really well and never spend more than $40 a week to feed me and my dog. Last week I received some free produce so my bill for the week was about $16.
There is always ways to make money just don’t think you are better than everyone.
Used to make a fantastic income then became homeless and now 8 years later working my way back up. My living conditions are still not the best but I have all amenities I should have.

  37. delaney says:

Not a big fan of the rag. It’s not that you don’t look great in it, I’m just so used to mocking people who wear them. Maybe I’m just jealous that I have a square face. Shrug.

  38. delaney says:

P.S. Melissa… Just read your post. I can totally relate. Unless my stomach is totally and completely FO SHO empty… Fruit gives me gas. Gross but true.

  39. Karen says:

You don’t look stoned. Maybe Carol is stoned instead.

I’m so excited you’ll be at the Longevity Now Conference – me too. See you there!

  40. esther says:

I attract money by giving it away in any form it takes on any given day.

  41. Britt says:

I actually think the bandana/beard is a really good look for you!!!! It definitely suites you.

  42. This is going to sound bad but I:

    a) Ask my parents

    b) agreed to be an actress on a raunchy jerry-springer style tv show

  43. bethany says:

I take you MORE seriously because you wore it. That says you are real and don’t have to change what you had on just to record the show for us.
I can afford the challenge, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea for me now because I have severe candida (skin rashes and many many food allergies).

  44. Brenda says:

Dude! You are a renegade! You can wear what ever you want. I love the info, that is what I am here for.

  45. Geri says:

Keep telling you Kevin, move to Maui where everyone dresses as they please! comfortable!
I love Jesus Christ, don’t pray for money but He knows what I need and I am not kidding, every time I am in need, something comes up, always! Praise God!!!!

  46. Mark Brend says:

    I do property investing.

When I did my first house I needed 35k and had 3mk myself. So I asked everyone I met if they had any savings and if they want to make between 10-20% on their money. Out of about 100+ people 10 gave me the money. by the ne dof the project I have received 65k worth of offeres. All my investors made 20% :)

I still do this today on other projects as I think I should share some of the profits / love.

  47. Mark Brend says:

Another time I was trying to find a world class business man to take to market one of my ideas at http://www.InspiredByDemand.com I was attending an Anthony robbins seminar and new 10,000 people would be there so I bought a new pullover and had a big message printed on the back say I needed £1,000,000. I didnot get the 1,000,000 but I did get 7 people come up to me and enquire, stating that they had 50k – 100k they maybe intrested in offering.

whilst a 100k is great it is not the 100k I was after it was the world class business person.

Really good sales pitch for the raw food challenge; the bandana drives the point home! Strong delivery; what did you eat?

I’ve always had enough money. Giving it away is a good way to keep it flowing back.

  49. Gjermund Lia says:

    Money:
For ME it is enough affirmations. I have to go out the door and DO it !!! but that is me :-)

  50. naomi says:

i think you look great! too bad you’re taken…i manifested $800 last Friday – it was literally handed to me! and i sure did need it!! smile

  51. Casey and Mateo says:

I have a Question about juicing, when you juice there is a “foam” at the top of the juice, do you scrape it off or mix it in? With cooked grains you always scrape the “foam” off. ?Whats with the foam?

The bandanna is great and if what you look like is a distraction from what you say there are other things going on that will stop people from “hearing” you any ways.

Old things laying around are stagnant energy/possibilities so sell them give them away move that energy into some new possibility, new money, new gifts. That’s my mission this week.

Always great topics and great info!Thank you.

  52. Esoteric Engineer says:

Don’t conform to the unreasonable demands of the dominant culture. To conform to certain dress codes in order to have your good info taken seriously just serves to perpetuate the lunatic requirement to present a certain façade in order to certain unthinking people take note. The worst people in society – those who do the most harm – are usually the best dressed. Break the bonds of ignorance and stupidity! Keep the rag on your head!

  53. Esoteric Engineer says:

*Error correction: In my comment (#52) I meant to write ‘…to present a certain façade in order to HAVE certain unthinking people take note.’

  54. Mahalo says:

    Hi,
A friend sent several of us the link for the Raw Food Challenge ebook. We’re curious, and wanted to try it, since we really feel too lost with the switch to raw, to do it without some guidance….as it can get boring when you don’t know what to turn to and prepare beyond carrots and lettuce, and salads forevermore! However, we are students, and don’t have credit cards…and you did not include an option to purchase with paypal!! We checked Amazon, but the book isn’t there. Let me know if you ever make paypay a purchase option, as I know that I would definitely like to try this challenge!! Thank you. Blessings.

By the way, money is just an illusion and an agreed-upon lie. It does not actually exist!

  56. Dear Kevin –

About a year ago, I had this incredibly obvious realization: worrying about money was detrimental to my health and was doing nothing positive. So… I stopped worrying. Interestingly, as I reprogrammed myself over the next few months, my health improved, I was making better choices about food AND finances, and whatever I need always seems to be there when I need it.

So simple, but so profound for me.

    Hey
I love the bandanna and casual attire. It inspires me! I was just telling my husband that I would have no clothes in my closet if I didn’t have this job that doesn’t fit me.I am so ready to get rid of the job and the clothes. I’m happiest and feel my strongest in my cowgirl boots and jeans and a soft shirt with a little sparkle to it.

I love that you can do what you love, wear what you love, go where you love, have tons of friends, and have plenty. I’ll have some of that too, thank you very much.

    Thanks for bein’ you.

  58. Paul says:

    Hi

I lost my wallet in Bangkok, Thailand once. It was full of money, credit cards, the lot. I had no money and had to ask a shopkeeper to call a friend to come get me. She came to pick me up about 2 hours later and then we had to get about 3 buses to get to her mother’s place. I had long since stopped worrying about the money and just let it be. I noticed for some reason a woman and her young son get on the bus and they sat right opposite me. Suddenly she spoke to me and asked if my name was Paul. I said yes and at that moment her son pulled something out of his bag. It was my wallet. They returned it and nothing was missing. I was stunned and very grateful to them. Absolutely amazing.

  59. I remember the time a few years ago when I had absolutely no money and wanted to take a raw food certification class to start teaching. I cashed in a shoe box full of change as a start, and got the rest of the money buy doing odd jobs like racking leaves, delivery driving, painting, etc.

To back the story up: I was supposed to take a course months earlier on finding the things I want to do in life. I had months to come up with the fee but never did. In a matter of two weeks I earned double of what the course costs in order to take the certification.

What it taught me is if you really want something to happen, you must take action and it will manifest. If it doesn’t, then chances are you didn’t really want it that bad.

Totally agree with you Kev about manifesting money for healthy eating.

  60. Claudo says:

    Hi Kevin, Annmarie,

I am interested in buying a juicer and I wanted to know your feedback on which is the best juicer the Greenstar or Juice Daddy Juicer from Jay Korich? Jay’s juicer is definetely less expensive but is it as good as the Greenstar? SIOnce you have both of them I woudl be great to get your feedback on the two juicers.

    Thanking you in advance,
    Claudio

  61. Connie says:

Keep rocking the bandanna. I’m a 43yr. old mom and that is what my 17 and 14yr. old boys say when I wear a bandanna. I have a collection of them and wear them often. I am an artist and own my own business. Sometimes I wear my painting clothes and other times I may feel it necessary to wear a suit. No matter what I decide to wear I am always me and people do tend to take me seriously no matter what costume I am rocking that day. lol. As a long time bandanna rocker and designer I do have to give you some tips on bandanna style. Tuck the point of the bandanna in in the back. It gives a more uniform shape to the bandanna and head when seen from the front. It is, IMHO, important to center the design, whatever it may be, on the forehead. btw I have that exact bandanna that you are wearing.

As for money. I decide what I am going to focus on and then take what action I can to manifest the outcome that I desire. Money is not really “the thing” for me though. A lot of peace and a bit of joy are what motivate me. It is Secret stuff but there is a lot more to it than that movie hinted at.

Now I need to learn to make my health a priority and focus on that. Thanks to you and Annmarie for making that an easier process.

  62. Brianna says:

Great show- as always, very informative.

“Do you think people might not take me as seriously because I have a rag on my head?” (Yes-I do)

“I’ve learned more from people wearing T-shirts…”

“Why is he wearing a bandanna, why is he not shaving… you know why? Because it’s so unimportant.”

I disagree with you on these points. And here is why. As people, we judge things visually, instinctively. If food looks spoiled, we don’t eat it. If someone LOOKS sick, we tend to keep our distance.

You and Annmarie work so hard to be healthy, to be radiant, but you’re missing the finishing touch- which is to DRESS to show that radiance. Wearing baggy t-shirts, and clothes that are ill-fitting isn’t helping you do that at all. In fact, I would argue that it makes you APPEAR less healthy. Why would you want to do that? You can still maintain your principles by choosing clothes that are second hand, made with sustainable materials, or recycled in someway- but you can do it in a way that enhances your natural health and beauty.

You have a fantastic looking website- well designed, great content, etc. Well what if your website was poorly designed? What if it APPEARED hokey? How many new user would stop to read or listen to the content?

It’s the same with people. If you want to change the health of the world- one person at a time, LOOKING healthy increases your credibility. And fashion and clothes are part of that.

I think you and Annmarie are beautiful, knowledgable, wonderful people. And as business owners you have to understand that your dress and appearance reflect your credibility. You don’t have to wear high-fashion designer suits, just buy clothes that project that you care about yourself and you are proud of your appearance.

Do you think Jesus cared what people thought about how he dressed? Or judged people by the way they were dressed? Don’t think so Brianna… WEAR WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE If people judge me by the way I dress, then I have no use to talk to or to be listened by these people. I once walked into a car dealership wearing ripped blue jeans and a white t-shirt to purchase a brand new car, ( with cash) guess what?…they gave me GREAT RESPECT

  64. Kristine says:

Wow, talk about abundance. The responses to your question today are a sign of abundance! Random acts of kindness are wonderful to give and receive! I have never read the Secret, but I have been told I have it. In any case, be sincerely kind, generous, creative, respectful and grateful. If you are reading this blog, I you probably are already : – )
As to the dress code, I was once told by a very elegant Italian man that dressing elegantly is an act of respect for other people. Kevin, you look elegant in a casual way. If your beard was dirty and or the scarf was, it would be another story. And your glowing health shows you respect yourself too.

  65. Alexandra says:

thanks you for the in-depth and very quick response to my question. It all very clear now.

  66. Eric says:

I am a huge fan of The Renegade Health Show. Thank you for all the helpful information. I would like to get your opinion on vegan protein supplements drinks such as Garden of Life RAW Protein or Hemp Protein Shakes. Would you recommend taking them to increase your protein intake? What should I take to increase my protein consumption?

  67. Brian says:

I’m afraid I have to side with Brianna here; the way we dress matters very much if we are hoping to reach a wide audience.

Face it or don’t, there is a stigma that the health community is largely run by a bunch of beatniks. Personally, I think this site is run by fantastic, knowledgeable people, but the casual observer might see the host as just another hippie from a health food store.

Good argument, Brianna. Hey, bandannas don’t change my opinion, but they could serve to nullify the point of the show (“Changing the health of the world one show at a time”) if nobody new is compelled to stop and listen.

    Well i didn’t have a car cause i didn’t have a job. I couldn’t get a girl cause i didn’t have a car or a job. So I found me a girl with a car and a job.

Sadly our prejudices and false honor systems can hinder us from growth. Luckily you don’t take your self as seriously as many of those in suits do. They may look good but just try to get the truth from them. they’ll sell you down the river in a boat of your own making and tell you you made a great deal. I wish there were more like you guys that came from a genuine place. When I see you and Ann together all I see is love and happy people living their passions. Be who you are, there are times for certain types of dress, but if you have no need for it why bother. And this is from someone who used to work in the fashion industry. Hmmm If I were styling Kevin and Ann, what would I do? I can see Kevin in a scooped t shirt with a loosely fitted Egyptian cotton and ramie Nehru jacket, loose but well fitted flat front linen trousers with besom pockets and a nice pair of dress sandals. As for Ann I’d put her in a lovely blouse woven from bamboo with a pair of capri pants, sandals and baby’s breath placed in her hair lol….

Anyway enough of that. Way back in Summer session at R.I.S.D. I had ran out of money but had about $40 left. I bought some school t shirts and custom painted them for $25 – $50 each. I think I generated about $200 from a few t shirts. I may have to revisit that ingenuity again soon.

We are all born as SOVEREIGN PERSONS who deserve FREE WATER, FREE FOOD, FREE LAND, FREE EDUCATION… given for FREE out of friendship and love. All 7 billion could be immediately rich – let us work for FREE (in the image of wikipedia)and share fairly!
Our mother Nature gives for FREE – we don’t need laws that protect the right on profit; we don’t need the “secret” that want us be selfish!
We need MOTHER’S ETHICS instead laws and MOTHERS CERCLES that would give us all FOR FREE in the name of GIFT ECONOMY!

hiya Kevin you are so right in that if we need something badly enough we will get it. I wanted all the cds and workbooks etc from Nick Ortens world tapping summit so i looked around to see what material posessions i had which were less important to me and put them on ebay.i am about to do the same again and as you say it’s all about prioritizing and an antique wardrobe is no good to me when i am bed bound and hardly wear my clothes anyway. so there is ALWAYS a way to get money.thanks for everything from a wee scottish granny on the road to recovery and vibrant health. ps: don’t suppose you want a holiday in the countryside in rural scotland to show my lovely husband how to feed me. i have lived on salads for a year!!! or do you only take in america with your offer??????? take the greatest care of each other love maddie

I have wanted to afford get my mercury dental fillings removed by someone that does the proper protocol and that I could trust & feel comfortable with. It’s happening now with an amazing dentist. The dentist & his wife have worked out a trade for me to get it done. We(my husband & I) are helping their business with our business. I’ve done so much for my health over many years being vegan for almost 20 years, all organic for over 10 years & raw since 2003, & my teeth were the only thing I haven’t been able to do for myself until now. I feel truly blessed!!! :D

  75. Jen says:

It kind of irks me though with all the people saying that they just meditated or prayed and money came to them. Come on! I went to graduate school and then got a job. =P
I am really looking forward to the challenge. I’ve been a vegan for 15 years but have never been able to get this raw food thing going.

Made money by getting a job, selling everything could get my hands on….even the TV. Best year ever with no TV, (after hub got over the shock)

  77. Lavendar says:

I love the show – I truly do. I don’t like “those people” expressions for people in poverty and it is also true that very wealthy people do not take preventative health care when they would rather buy $700 worth of processed foods on a weekly basis because it’s convenient – they have satellites too

About the question – I have been blessed time and time again with the favor and grace that only God can give. He has been a constant provider. All I had to do was ask, and then believe, praise and receive. I am grateful
    - blessed with favor and extended grace last year when social workers to a big hit as social service programs were mutilated in my state….never went hungry, blessed to find great deals in the grocery, prayer works, when it seemed like my two graduate degrees were a incredible waste of time and money, God provided favor and I met someoe who was able to link me up with an opportunity to privately contract my services – that’s awesome

I’ve tried prayer, intention, visualization, EFT, hiring myself out on Craig’s List, selling anything of possible value on eBay, everything there’s a book, audio or video out there (including The Secret) and have yet to meet my financial goals. I had some pretty incredible synchronicities happen while using The Secret, but I hold the view of financial freedom very near and dear to my heart. A $100 here and there out of the clear blue is nice and I am grateful for those gifts, but they are far from financial freedom I have sought since I opened my first Katherine Ponder book in the century before this. I have so many wonderful things I desire to experience, yet no matter how much I pray, meditate, tap or visualize they still have not come to fruition. I took a very big leap into going raw and pretty much shot myself in the foot financially just trying to equip my kitchen with the foundational raw foods (raw, organic things people take for granted but are always in the fridge or cupboard). I had to make that tough decision – either change my eating habits or be so heavy I couldn’t bend my legs (an extra 150 lbs. will do that to you). I’ve dropped 20, but put the raw challenge on my credit card in hopes it will help me be able to better accommodate the diet with the funds I do have now. What will happen to the huge deficit I put myself in to do so? I’ve decided I can’t think about it any more. I live in the now moment and say “I love you” to all my food (after seeing the results of an intention experiment) and the place I live. Living in the now moment is all there is left to do. I simply can’t be bothered with the question of money anymore – I can’t waste any more time trying to create other people’s good fortune. Either God or the universe is merciful and abundant or they aren’t. The proof is in the pudding. I will live my life to the best of my ability and opportunity and forget about the rest. Life is too short to do anything else. :D

    Great show today!!!! Awesome message!!

One question on fermented foods- is there too much salt in them if you are salt sensitive? We don’t currently use salt in/on anything that we prepare at home and can tell when we’ve eaten out and the food was salted. All the recipes for making fermented foods contain so much salt.

Thank you for all your wonderful info!!

I was 18 years old and living on my own and needed a job. I set down and brainstormed and thought about my options. One of them was to think what places are hiring in my area right now. I ended up working in a nursing home even though I hated it. After about 5 months I applied at a hostital and got a job which was much better than the nursing home. They also paid for me to go to college while I was working for them and that worked out well. I was told by HR that one of the reasons I was picked for the college reinbursement program was because I did the job I was hired for, never clocked in late, and volunteered to stay if someone did not show up on the next shift.

I had always avoided understanding money feeling it was somehow “bad” to want it. Consequently, I was always chasing it and not catching very much! Checked myself into DA – that’s Debtors Anonymous, a 12-step program. Now I am facing my fears and getting real about my financial situation. Whether or not the money multiplies, my fear is waning as I, with the help of others who have gone before me, learn how to be healthier about it – not to buy or debt to avoid facing my emotions.

By the way, my spending plan allows for all the healthy, raw, organic food I need. No compromise there!!

  82. Melissa says:

love the bandana. I love it that you are comfortable enough to do what feels right to you…not what society feels is right! So yes, I do take you seriously as your messages are always top notch! The whole money mindset has really caught up to me lately. I had a very negative outlook on money as I never seemed to have enough of it. Now, I believe I was in too much a negative state and I had the “poor” mindset. I’m really working on positive affirmations and opening my mind up to new opportunities:) Thanks for the show..it was exactly what I needed!

  83. Sean Wagner says:

Yo Kevin, I’m so doing the raw food challenge, its gonna be bomb !

  84. Olga says:

    Kev!
I was thrilled to hear about the fermentation topic.. but still didn’t get an answer. I’ve been taking Water Kefir for about a year, but still do not know, if this kind of drink is REALLY HEALTH BENEFICIAL..?
I’ve got from a friend about a tea spoon of gelatinous off whitish kind of granules in a sweet water solution. And I’ve started doing water kefir every day by adding some sugar, raisins, dry apricots, and few incan berries, and water of course.
After one or two days of fermentation, it turns sour and gassy, including added fruits, and has about 3% alcohol. In a process of making it daily, this thing is been growing, and from one tea spoon initially, at one point, I had three large jars, and gave out an excess to other people. Besides, I also have been adding some fermented water in to watering my indoor plants through out the winter, and have to say, that especially my indoor avocado tree is thriving on this food ! All leaves are healthy and barely shedding any..

Seemingly, this is a healthy drink – as you can find info on youtube /or google “water kefir”.
But I also have been doing home made sour kraut, which is usually very yummy, and there is no alcohol in there, but tasty fermented flavor. Fermentation usually takes 3 days in not too hot seattle climate.
SO, obviously it or not, these two fermented products achieved their stage of fermentation by two different ways..
    One uses sugar, sweet and some sour fruits;
Another uses somewhat sweet vegetables, some salt, and spices..
And both are considered to be healthy [if you not listening to dr. Robert Young:)]
Somebody has to know THE Answer to this puzzle..
by the way, Kev, have you thought to interview two doctors together? Like Dr. Young and for example Dr. G. Cousens? And ask them both to cover fermentetion subject? Maybe?

  85. Jill says:

I myself haven’t done anything to “manifest” money. (No offense but that term sounds a little woo woo to me) but I do agree on how people should prioritize things better. We all can stand to have better priorities in life I think.
