Hey guys, nice show. I’m in hollywood fl. so hopefully I’ll be able to see you in miami. Have you ever heard of taking “food grade hydrogen peroxide 35%? I saw it somewhere, then googled it. There’s alot of info and testimonials on it being a sort of cure all. Just wanted to get your input on it. And I’m going to vote right now. Thanks for everything!

If you really want to do Missionary work in Haiti
They probably could use some construction folks and building supplies.
I am sure they are getting plenty clothes and food donations now.
If I had the resources I would go there.Third world country’s don’t bother me, done it before.
What would be great is to get someone there to show them how to maximize the vegetation the have there for food.
Good Luck on the trip I will be on the road soon myself picking up the RV Friday.

Hello! Obama sez:
“The most effective way for Americans to help the people of Haiti is to contribute money. That money will go to organizations on the ground who will be able to effectively spend it.

FYI water can be purified by putting a few drops of Chlorine Bleach (make sure it has no fragrance or other additives) in a quart of water, shaking it, letting it stand 20 minutes and then filtering out the Chlorine. If you leave it over night the chlorine will evaporate.
If you cannot filter out the chlorine and need the water right away, it would be better to use Iodine, same process, but iodine can be helpful to the body in small amounts. Chlorine is toxic.
Hope this is helpful to somebody somewhere, sometime in an emergency.
Peace, Love and Harmony,
Bev

I voted! Hope they win. A great cause and a super blender makes for a good effort to support.

As Bush and Clinton said jointly, money is the most effective means of helping those in Haiti. The need for supplies is best ascertained locally and as far as aid workers are concerned, one would be most effective if they worked through an existing better-established aid agency that can better pinpoint where someone’s skills are best used.

Dad’s got Congestive Heart Disease and he still has not had one of his VA doctors recommend CoQ10(WHAT?!?!?!)Yeah, and you know he won’t listen to his smarty-pants little girl. Lastly, I would like you to check out a blog I started yesterday. I make several references to you AnnMarie and the smoothie book I bought from you. I need to know that my use of your nemes, etc is appropriate. If you have any feedback on that I am open to it. Thanks and be well, Christine

ok, off topic but I have a question: Is lye soap (I use the brand Grandmother’s Lye soap) safe?
I was using it to soothe my eczema as well as using it as a face wash… It seems really mild and gentle but i just wanted to make sure
Thanks!

There are already so many great raw resources on both the East and West coasts, and in Florida – what would REALLY be great, and impressive, would be if you could come do some 30-day transformations with people in the middle of the country, like where I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have Type II diabetes and have 100+ pounds to lose and am really struggling to try to transition to raw foods -there isn’t even a single vegetarian restaurant here, much less a vegan or a raw one. I would love to have your help to do a makeover or transformation! People in my area desperately need the education and inspiration you can provide! Please consider going where you are most needed!

Greetings,
Re: Haiti, my son and I sent a text from our Sprint cell phone which comes off the monthly bill, plus gave cash to folks collecting locally.
Big up to Dr. Martin Luther King’s work, this day is very important to me and many others, I look forward to celebrating a holiday that memorializes a man’s very hard work, work I might add that he was not well paid for and received a lot of personal attack by doing.
Hope you both truly enjoy Florida. Lot of momentum going on…

If you are driving south on I-95, we live 20 miles east of Fredericksburg. We have several acres with plenty of space for the RV with electric and water, if you need a place to park for one night or even several.
In fact on Thursday I am having a Raw Vegan Discovery Dinner at my home. It should be fun and you are welcome to attend.
Love your show. You and Dan the Man Life Regenerator.

Fredericksburg VA is 30 miles south of Washington DC. Sorry, I figure everyone knows where God’s Country is.

Oh, I would LOOOOVE to participate in the 30-day raw challenge. On my own, I am no good.
I had considered and was close to going all raw for 30 days before but I would only get through maybe 3/4 of the day or something and end up having something cooked or just generally bad.
Lack of the kind of motivation that perseveres …
Anyway, having someone keep me in check would be great. I live in Dahlonega, Ga and am a mother of two who is currently about 50 lb.s overweight and I have been studying the raw diet for about 3 years. Last year, at this time, I weighed about 12 or so lbs. less because I was at about half raw.
But, over time, I gave in to almost totally SAD again and now I feel and look pretty horrid. Also I have struggled with candida for about 5 years (after being given an antibiotic for rosacea – ONE PILL of doxycycline RUINED me !).

BTW, thank you for caring about others, taking the time to make these very informative shows & spreading the love!

I voted for the sisters…it seems you just click on the stars; wasn’t very clear.
My church just bought $100,000 worth of water purification systems for Haiti. I don’t know what kind they are, but if the information would be helpful, let me know and I’ll find out. I assume they’re one of the best, if not the best, since they donate these systems for use in 3rd world countries, do substantial research, and are very careful how they use their dollars. This seems to be more practical, (producing long term help) than just water bottles, though I’m sure they have their place as well.

I, too, forgot the holiday and discovered when I hit the post office. MLK day so important to me…so I was happy to get the news early in the day. I took time to listen to his talk on The Art of Peaceful Persuasion on KPFK Pacifica Radio, Berkeley.
Immersed in Haiti for three days in preparation of going on January 24th. Ignorant of Haiti before now briefed and deeply touched by the people and horrified by undermining policies over the years. I hear the Haitian people can open up the heart of a rock.
We will go and stay for two months later when the attention fades, the aid pulls out, and the deeper work begins. First responders need money to keep a steady stream of supplies, food, and water coming in.
Nice to know others in this forum care in such creative ways. Thanks to both of you for sharing in this way.
Bon voyage!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We are so thankful for Kevin, Annmarie and their amazing employee Lisa for helping us spread the word. This is so fun to witness the goodness in everyone’s hearts as you all take the time to vote for this cause that goes way beyond blenders! Keep spreading the word – voting ends Tues. night.
It is hard to even comprehend the great need the Haitians are in and will be for months and years following this disaster. We are so blessed. Together we can make this donation possible.
I know the web site is a bit confusing to cast a vote. We’ve been sending out these instructions to make it a little easier:
1. Go to http://www.community.vitamix.com
2. Toward the top left side of the screen, click “join now.” You can either create a username and password or just sign in using your Yahoo, Facebook, Gmail or AOL username and password – click agree to sign in.
3. The green Vita-Village page will come up. Click “home” at the top left side of the screen (not “my home” which is right next to it)
4. Then double click the red icon that says “Pitch Me!” located on the left/center of the screen.
5. Click the box that says “Vote/Rate Now!” Ours is the second video listed called “3sisters”. Just double click on the video, push play to watch (just 3 minutes) and make sure to rate it by clicking on the star of your choice below. That’s all! (You can only vote once per user).

Just wanted to let you know I voted! Signing up was easy cause I already had a Google account. I also have a Vitamix and will use this website for new ideas.
Will Johnny 5 be joining you for the trip? Thank you for your show. I watch every episode even though I’m not a raw foodie.

It might be really great if people could donate satellite phones for the workers/doctors in Haiti. They are really expensive, but cell phones are only working sporadically right now.
Unfortunately, it doesnt matter what helpful things people amass to send in, because a lot of it just isn’t getting through.
(This info is per my pastor. We have a compound in Haiti, which is caring for 4,000 displaced people at this time.)

Thank you so much for discussing Haiti. Some ways to help…. The Medical Advocacy Team (an org that’s been working w/Haiti for years) is organizing emergency medical teams to Haiti. To contact them for more info, you can email: sister_haiti@yahoo.com
And for where to send donations, my top recommendation is the Lambi Fund who’s been head-and-shoulders above any other org. in Haiti for what they get done and the way they do it. I’ve been following them for years and they are phenominal. Here’s where you can donate and read their action plan: http://www.lambifund.org/Earthquake-1.shtml
Pls click that link; every little donation helps!!!
K and A, I’m encouraged to see you reaching out despite your unfamiliarity w/the country and encouraging others to help our brothers and sisters there. That tiny country, less than 800 miles from Florida, is close enough for the United States to really shine and show the world what the power of love can do.
Thank you again.

Want to thank you all for directing us to a great way to (hopefully) contribute to the rebuilding in Haiti. And I am really looking forward to your 30 day challenges!! How fun! It will allow people to really see the powerful results that a healthy diet/lifestyle can bring about!

Thank you guys for your work and caring for the tragic situation in Haiti. Our church has been contributing to an orphanage there and our pastor has been in touch that the children are okay, but in so much need of food and water. Our church is connected with a wonderful organization that responds very quickly to disaster areas and they are such a large and caring organization that has many contacts and warehouses that are heading to Haiti. The best thing about this organization is they are able to stretch a $1 to $8 – $10 with the buying compacity that they have. You can go directly to their website: http://www.convoyofhope.com to see how to be of help.
Best of luck on the road. I am in beautiful Grand Junction Colorado and would love to get together. Room for the RV.
Take care,
Rhonda

Kevin this organization/orphanage is getting mentioned on CNN: http://www.glahaiti.org/
They need powdered formula, diapers, baby wipes, baby cereal, infant Tylenol, infant and children’s vitamins, as well as baby care items such as lotion, powder, baby shampoo. We also plan to assist the surrounding community with clothing, medical supplies, household items, hygiene items such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, blankets and towels.
