I passed out with the children at around 9:00. :)

I’ve enjoyed your show (considered myself a fan) for the last year, but I think this particular episode has me falling in *love* with your work. So much of what you represent is worth emulating – I even want to see Avatar now!

Thank you so much for all you do!

Congratulations on your success in The Best of Raw! You guys do a great job of keeping us informed, and you deserve it! Last night I sat in front of the fireplace with my Honey eating raw sweet potato chips– at 5 to midnight we turned on the volume to an online streaming of Times Square, and we kissed at midnight.

Thanks for putting in a plug for AVATAR….

We lit a little over 300 votive candles, checked on the goats, and tuned into the Blue Moon.

I enjoyed voting for you on the Best of Raw and am excited to hear the accolades for the show.

    Best to all…

Listened to music, started reading Kev’s “High Raw,” connected with friends, meditated, wished my dogs and cats a happy new year! ;)

Question for Kevin- I have been a non-smoker for 2 months (woo hoo!) and it is going really well. Will going high raw help alleviate the occasional cravings for a cig? Maybe this is in the book but I just haven’t gotten to that page yet….

Thanks to both of you for a great show!!

I was doing some research on-line regarding poor circulation (and improving it). There was an exciting discovery made in Italy regarding MS (which I have) during Thanksgiving week and I am trying to do as much on my own as possible to improve my circulation. Went to bed 11pm.

Happy New Year Kevin and Annemarie and the rest of the forum! My fiance and I had dinner with the family as usual and then stayed up until like 4:30 am playing Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox 360. That full moon sure was bright! It was shining right at us while we were trying to sleep when we finally did go to bed! I’m SO glad you guys won the Raw Competition! I’ve been watching your show regularly for over a year and this is my 1st post ever! I also went to see Avatar yesterday. What an awesome movie! Want to see it again but in 3D this time.

Last night I was online ordering my 1st Blendtec! The one with the huge container and 4″ blade. My goal is to stop messing around and finally get serious about my health.

Love you guys and voted for your show.

My husband Mohan, my sister, and I set our intention for the new year and did Ho’oponono on the things we wanted to leave behind and went on a gratitude rampage, where we wrote down everything we were grateful for in 2009 and we did a little ritual where we wrote all the things in our life that we’ve outgrown and all the things we wanted to grow. We burned both lists and let the wind blow the outgrow list away, and we buried the to grow list by a tree so that those things grow in 2010. I feel it was very powerful. Then we blessed the new year. That night we had dreams of our new intentions. We felt like we were cleansed and open to bring in great things in the new year.
I know this year will be our best year yet. I wish the same for you and AnneMarie. I so appreciate all your efforts in bringing wonderful information to us. We’ve benefitted so much from it.

After pondering the high and low points of my year I listened to people’s predictions for the future on Coast to Coast AM. Actually, before that I finished reading David Wilcock’s blog on Divine Cosmos regarding his interpretation of history, etc., in conjunction with the 60-year-long UFO and ET cover up. Both of you may be interested to know that David Wolfe wanted to meet David Wilcock and did so recently at a raw retreat.
One question about your two heads of greens: Do you mean you can eat or juice the same greens day after day without concern for ingesting too much of the same alkaloid? Victoria Boutenko says you have to switch them rather frequently. Are you saying something like Romaine lettuce is free of alkaloids and is entirely different from say kale in this regard?
BTW, have you guys ever seen a UFO in your travels? Maybe you could ask if your fans have sometime.

It is customary and traditional to say Happy New Year Kevin and Ann Marie But in reality I know our government will only get worst thats the real truth . Spent time reviewing about FALLOUT and how radioisotopes enter all fruits and vegetables, ,water, environment, etc.through nuclear power plants and military proving grounds in Dugway Utah ,Jefferson indiana,Arizona ,New Mexico,Aberdean Maryland,Nevada–spreading also in underground water tables -LASTS FOR ALL ETERNITY–FOREVER Gross Genetic effects on all peoples .Research thousands of babies in all the wars America enjoys starting and all the tons and tons of depleted uranium we left behind in the form of talcum dust and left many countries a radioactive WASTE LAND. I notice really no one in the health movement is rally talking about this to the public and what IF any protections one can do .The Thousands and thousands of mothers crying over their genetically born monsters breaks my heart and any decent humane being .But I guess it is a matter of US POLICY. Rense.com and Brasscheck tv.com thousands of G.I.s waking up and not going back to duty because they KNOW the truth many go to canada and speaking out how our Government LIES to the american people .Never heard this on the 6 o’clock news only all the drug commercials by our government controlled media. I guess I’ll stop .Hope the best for you and your your loved ones and each of your families. God bless.

Just a few minutes before the countdown last night we drove by a random gas station (on our way back to CO from MN) called Love’s. So of course we stopped and welcomed in the New Year under the magical blue moon at Love’s! I’ve never even seen a Love’s gas station before… no seriously this is crazy, LOVE is my theme for 2010! Gotta love synchronicity! Lol

But 15 minutes later into the New Year I got pulled over for speeding ($150 fine), I even had to ask the officer “please tell me this isn’t going to jinx the rest of my year”. He reassured me it wouldn’t.

I’m not kidding, this was my New Year :-)

Hi Kevin and AnnMarie and all:-) #9 Colleen “…we sure were hydrated” made me laugh right out loud, thanks!!! #13 Nina, wow, that sounds like an amazing ritual to do with loved ones and has given me tonnes of inspiration:-) I LOVE Christmas ’cause it has tonnes of personal meanings to me in a very deep way that I’ve found over the years but haven’t got there with New Years yet – but reading the posts have really shown me how it might be possible.

Sooooo glad you won Best of Raw, espec as my computer crashed while I was voting so I’ll never know if my votes for you got registered!! And yes, I want to see Avatar now, and I usually HATE movies and avoid them. Hehe, I know occassionally there are really good meaningful ones though:-)

Oh yeah, new years, I was alone in my flat pottering around doing whatever I liked. No people, no crowds, no tacky tv countdown on in the background, no people fallin over drunk, lol. It was sheer heaven – my best new years yet. I was making my hot water bottle by 11.30pm. Oh gee, that makes me sound ancient! And I’m younger than you kev!! HAPPY NEW YEAR xxx

Ps I will gladly proof-read your new book for you Kevin!!! No, I’m not a pro at it, just wanna help…and, er, yeah then I’d get the book sooner, lol!!!

One last thing: my brother has asked me to help him improve his diet, woo woo:-) He still wants to eat cooked food and meat, he is nowhere NEAR thinking about a high raw diet, but it is awesome all the same. Can you recommend some health experts who include cooked and meat/animal products Kev? I’ve got a Phil Maffetone book but he reccommends WAY WAY WAY too much animal protein as far as I can tell. Not sure that is the message I wanna give my brother. But I could give him that book if I can find one with a balancing point of view about why cutting down is a good idea. Any ideas? (he also wants to gain a little weight at the gym so doesn’t want a weight loss diet plan!).

Love you both and loved hearing your goals:-)

Pps I have a new goal – to get my aforementioned brother to watch your show in 2010!

    Hi!
I just had a quiet New Year’s at home with my family (the usual).

    New questions for you please:

    1) Lemon juice is used often in raw recipes and is talked about for having great health properties like liver-cleansing (i.e. drink lemon water first thing in the morning) and mucous-busting.
Do other citrus have the same properties?
Sometimes I have oodles of *other* citrus, like limes or grapefruit, but not lemon.
Can they be swapped 1:1 for those same health properties?

    2) Does chia only have the famous health benefits if it’s broken down first before swallowed? I chew and chew those little guys and it seems like I’m not breaking them down much, so I wondered if they usually get broken down in the body.

    3) Any good online resources for explanations of yoga poses (preferably free)? Sometimes in class the instructor will throw out a pose name (ie “now go into your Albino Sloth”) and most of the class knows the pose but it takes me some time to figure out what to do. Would love to study up some.

    4) Any recommendations for where to get digestive enzymes and which ones, especially for kids? For sometimes raw but more often onmivore-and-junk-food-eating kids?

    5) I’m curious about those single blenders, like Tri-best or Magic Bullet. I like the idea of using them for something small, like dressings or spreads, but do they blend as well as high-speed blender? Or if not, how close (a litle grainy-ness or what)?

    Thanks in advance and
    Happy New Year!!!

Your message is modern, love it. Your material/content is well researched, and presented in a clean easy to view format. AnnMarie, if you need any assistance with the skin care line, I am a natural products demo specialist (insured) in the CT region.

We saw Avatar on new years eve, way cool movie, then called the family for well wishes. Excited for 2010! We have many dreams to manifest and share our knowledge. My eldest son is recovering from a stroke (@age 29) with a mostly raw vegan diet. 2009 has been a long scary road to navigate, he is getting better everyday!

So glad to have Kevin & Annmarie provide a fun, inspirational show that gives us food for thought. Happy New Year!

Nobody from my household wanted to go out to streets of London for some new year countdown so we ended up chatting until 2am. Lots of nice firework though.
I also tried to see avatar in Paris during Christmas and it was impossible to find the tickets, always sold out as we were not into planning and kept being too late.
Happy new year to you both, thank you for all the wonderful videos you’ve showered us with all 2009, and hope many more in 2010. And all the best wishes for your business, wish you lots of prosperity and abundance in all areas of your life!

I feel kind of bad for what I did for New Years, as I met an online friend I had been talking to for over a year just for a quick lunch/meet finally! BUT we ended up at a little Blues bar and I had the time of my life! They had a blues jam that included alot of local blues bands, some if not all played together as a band at each set…it was AWESOME! I did imbibe on a few decent beers as they didn’t have organics (I know, I know). The best thing is, my friend admitted to learning from me and my blogs and posts on health(social networking sites). It was the best ever knowing ANOTHER person had actually learned from me sharing the info I share from Kevin & Annmarie, Mike Adams…etc… What is exciting to me the most is he called me this morning and told me that NOW he wants his young son (6) to eat more veggies…how does he do that? And now that he knows the dangers of HFCS he is more aware of the things he feed his son for breakfast. And he actually had a talk with him about it!
It’s funny when you feel like the info you get, share and know goes unheard, you feel like giving up sometimes, even leading a life of example doesn’t seem to work, but then you get that one little ray of hope and inspiration, that someone IS listening and they are heeding your advice…it is all worth it.
This will be a happy New Year, knowing more and more people are interested in their health, AND the health of their children!

Today is year one of being “high raw” woohoooooo!!! Yesterday I cleaned out a couple of closets- got rid of junk- and moved some “non raw” appliances (waffle maker, elec. grill, GF grill, bread maker, and fry pan) to the cleaned out closet. I’ve been vegan for the last 16 years, following a New Year’s resolution in 1994 (before that, I’d been vegan or vegetarian on and off for many years). This year, I’m wanting to transition to raw vegan (I say transition because I realize now that I’m totally unprepared to go 100% raw, both in terms of knowledge and kitchen appliances!). I just discovered your blog and will definitely be looking through the archives to gain a better understanding of the raw food diet. Thanks for doing what you do!

    Hi AnneMarie and Kevin,

Well, New Year’s Eve my Hubby was gone working so, I went to the NA Potluck/Marathon Meeting. It was really nice to ground with fellow recoverying friends but, found myself fighting off eating cooked food. I have been once again in the fall/winter eating more cooked and not good cooked…junk like chocolate and soy hot chocolates. I feel sick and fat and am sick of this cycle I do every year. It’s so easy to be raw in summer. I always start craving more fat in the winter and maybe that is a normal tendency but, I gain weight and then have a hard time working out. I’ve been back to working out daily and making Green Juice that’s the only thing I’ve done perfect so far but, am hoping the rest will follow. My Goal for 2010 is to take better care of me and my Ranch full of critters (horses and dogs) and be fully present for my family and friends. I am getting older and I totally notice the changes in my body when I eat cooked food. And I”m not talking about a baked potatoe or a steamed veggies…I’m talking about processed crap! Why! ARrrgh! Anyhow, I’m gonna be 50 this year and I struggle with Candida, Arthritis type feeling in my bones, Mineral loss, and Scoliosis in my neck which causes pain in tingling in my shouler and numbness in my hand. When I do Raw with little to no processed I feel better…duh! So, why do I go through this every fall/winter?

I was drawn to read posts from you all and was glad I did….

Hey Rae,#18 and Brenda #34…Do you also checkout Project Camelot?
In addition to the information…there was a useful piece on Vitamin D3.

I’ve downloaded the last three days of CoasttoCoastam to catch the various levels of the what’s ahead in 2010 conversation. I’m in Argentina currently; returning to Chile later today.

Great to know you are on the wavelength with the forces that condition the human experience. I feel there is a correlation to eating RAW and the transformational forces at play.

Also, thanks to Nina Rao…the Power of the Heart is potent!

Happy New Year Kevin and Annmarie! Thank you so much for all the great videos/info in 2009. I so look forward to learning more from Renegade Health University and many others on You Tube and various websites. Would love to help Matt and Angela too. Can we picket in an online fashion, IE letters, etc?

Had a quiet night at home New Years eve. I don’t drink, except for extremely rare occasions (had a tiny bit of free champagne on a train tour on Mother’s day, that my son Derek treated me to).

Derek treated me to a movie and lunch on New Years day. We saw AVATAR also. He had seen it with his father the week before, but really wanted me to see it also. We watched it in Imax 3D. It is an amazing story, with awesome visuals.

Here’s to your continued success, health, and happiness.

    Love & Blessings.

To Maria #24: This is our 3rd day vegan. Yeah!! (not all raw yet) One step along the way -to share with your brother- is to prepare a full and delicious vegan meal and add a 3 oz piece of meat. The veggies become the focus and the meat the side dish.
Since we recently returned from a Christmas visit to our son and family, 3 kids, 5 dogs, we did nothing for New Year’s Eve. We curled up before the fire with our own 2 doggies and read. Very quiet. Very satisfying.
My project for the new year is to start a monthly raw vegan dinner. Each couple will bring 2 vegan dishes, 1 must be raw. (it is very cold here now) The purpose is to introduce the many flavors of raw food. Let’s see where this venture takes me!
Best wishes finding a place to settle. We chose rural VA for our retirement. Blessings of health and peace.

i am so inspired by so many of these posts. i went to a ‘center for spiritual awareness’ that i am connected with, and we had a burning bowl ceremony. we meditated first on forgiveness (ourself and others), then where we are now, and then what we want to manifest this year. after each meditation segment we wrote down what came, and moved on. we burned the old, and put our hopes, dreams, intentions and aspirations in an envelope that will be sent back to each of us towards the end of the year, to see how we did. however, i really preferred the way the person who wrote of a similar experience did hers. she buried hers near a tree, so it can grow. i like that better. anyway, then i came home around 10 pm, and listened to norml live, and got through and spoke a bit of my hopes and dreams for holy healing plants to again become part of our open honest awareness and utilization for all their many profound and multi-faceted gifts. and then my kitty cat companion and i went to sleep. here’s to lots of light, peace, love, health, joy and prosperous abundance in this new year, and ongoing into eternity. peace for ALL life! aho

I voted for you two! You are my favorites!
I visited friends on New years.
Drank some mineral water from Germany, it was good!
I do not drink alcohol so I look for something good to drink that is special. I like the nice glass bottle also!
I worked on finishing a pair of slippers, sewing the leather soles on them!
I went to see Avatar on the 2nd! It was 3-D!
I loved the movie and the message!
    Thanks for all you do!
Wish you all the best in the New Year!

I fiiiiiiiinally had time to watch this. I love this low-key video, it’s awesome. You both seem like pretty cool people generally, but after Kevin said he had a water bottle and 3D glasses at 2am on NYE, I just *KNOW* I could totally hang out with you guys, because that is about as crazy as I get lol! But j/k, you guys are probably way cooler than I am and I would never presume to be so hip ;) Great episode! I loved your goals, way to go, isn’t it amazing to look back over the years and see the progress you have made? You are very inspiring and I wish you nothing but success in 2010.

As for NYE… I think I watched some Harry Potter! Blockbuster had the DVDs on really cheap during boxing week, and I’d been looking for cheap copies since the Christmas before, so it was just meant to be lol.

Congrats on your win woooo hoooo!!! You deserve it. Kev as I said in last show I am trying to figure out how to get unbored with this life style. I have been doing raw for about seven years now and I am finding myself slipping because I am so bored of it. I need something new, new motivation new food ideas. It was really great to hear confessions of other raw fooder eating cooked that helped. BUT is there any way to keep from getting bored? I really don’t even want to eat anymore cause of this attirude. HELP!! I know you can do it. For New Years i went to all night family games and food and my Church it was fun. But I didnt eat their food just brought my own organic popcorn. I know I should not have but I am bored.

Partied like (sober) rock stars at the most amazing house party in Austin, Texas – fireworks, band, the works. Then salad and fruit at an all-night diner with friends (watching them eat pancakes). ;) Here’s to 2010!
