Last week, we were at our friend’s house and she pulled these guys out of the freezer…
She called them hemp bars, but I thought they were more like brazil nut cookie dough bars, or something like that!
Regardless, they are the best tasting treats I’ve had in years and I have no problem eating them even through they’re loaded with fat.
Sometimes treats are good for you… (once or twice a YEAR!)
Take a look…
Your question of the day: Wish Justin a Happy Birthday (He’s 10)!
Click here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and leave your comments now!
Here’s the recipe…
Raw Food Dessert Brazil Nut Cookie Dough Bars
2 cups ground hemp seeds
2 cups ground Brazil nuts
1/2 cup raw honey
1/4 cup coconut oil
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla powder
1 tsp nutmeg
pinch sea salt
Combine all ingredients in bowl and knead and massage until dough is formed. Flatten in pan and cut into 1 inch square bars. Put in freezer until firm. To store keep in freezer.
You can always put dough in the refrigerator for a few hours then roll out and cut with cookies cutters into fun holiday shapes
Serve to love ones and enjoy
Live Awesome!

Way, way, WAY TOO MUCH FAT! No wonder they tasted good! You’re better off eating a low fat baked cookie than all that raw fat.

A big-10 Birthday Wish for you, Justin:
I wish for you a rainbow of experiences,
showered with grace,
Surrounded in wonder,
For all of your days.
A year of surprises,
More goodness than bad,
A balance in life,
More happy than sad.
Strength on the inside,
and outside, too…
A smile that shows
“I care about you!”
Words that are kind,
Thoughts filled with joy,
Hands that show caring,
From a wonderful boy.
But the best wish of all,
More than all glories in heaven,
Is a heart full of love
Until you’re eleven!
HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY, JUSTIN!
(I sure wish I could share those cookies! They sound absolutely delicious!)

Hey, Kevin and Annmarie, and Justin (Happy birtheday!)
The recipe looks really good! We’re going to try it tomorrow. Point of information, just wanted to mention that Dr. Gerson found that when he gave lemon or orange zest to his recovering cancer patients, they went down hill. I use the juice of the fruit instead.
To your health! Thank you for everything.

Happy Birthday Justin…I have a son who made 10 in June…By the way, were you guys aware that cinnamon and nutmeg are irritants? You may want to learn more about cardamon and coriander and do 1/2 and 1/2 to have a cinnamon substitute. I can give you lots of research that has been done on this…Keep up the work…That dessert looks great…I’m going to use the Carob Chips…Thanks for all your hard work…

This is to Jude Manche and the crew at Renegade Health. We actually sell a food grade Australian grown Hemp seed oil. Maybe you can substitute the seed with oil??

Kevin, I’m curious: does putting raw food in the freezer destroy any of its nutrient or enzymatic content?

Interesting that the 108 yr old man drinks cinnamon tea almost every day. More & more it looks like what we think about what we are eating has such a huge impact! Happy birthday, dear Justin!
