Yep!
We won an infrared sauna recently, but haven’t been able to use it because we don’t have any room in the RV for a two person sauna!
Annmarie’s sister has been using it at their house and she’s been loving it.
Check it out…

Yes! I love infrared saunas! I have begged for one for years but we have a club membership at a very nice place which has a nice traditional sauna so for now that has to be where I get my sauna usage. I am so happy for you both that you got such a wonderful gift. I literally don’t win anything. Kevin, you will laugh, but I honestly am like the “if my ship ever comes in I’ll be at the airport” person. I won something once in my life, tickets to the Ice Capades ( that ages me) and I was out of town. No lie!
So enjoy your sauna and I’ll see you when you get back over here to the NW.

I have a portable cabinet one.

Yes, Far Infared saunas are wonderful. We own a Wellness Center in Somerset, KY. We love to use it before a massage. It warms the body up completly before the massage. Come by and visit if you are ever in the area!!! Lake Cumberland is Beautiful!!!!

You are suppose to have a drink with all the vitamins and minerals after the sauna. Plus every 15 minutes you have to take a a cold shower to cool yourself and remove and toxins on your body, as you do the sauna. Finish with a cold shower.
I go for saunas at the N.D. clinic every week.

I want to buy one for my home, but there is a health center down the road from my house and I can use the infrared sauna there for $45 for an hour. I love it! I’ve only gone once, but it was amazing! I need to get over there again. I could buy one for $45 a month and use it everyday, which is why I haven’t been back to use it. Congratulations on winning it. I’m glad you did; now you’ll have first-hand experience to share with the rest of us.

As usual, an interesting show, Kevin.
Hey, Lana, enjoyed your comment and got a good laugh from your joke about your ship coming in. Have you ever heard of infrared heating pads? That might be a way for you to get the benefits of an infrared sauna without making a big cash outlay or having to win a contest.
3:19 pm on December 15th, 2009
YES!!! I love them, and my mom and I are looking into getting one sometime next year!!! And on a side note, I got Annmarie’s whole product line yesterday in the mail!!! I am so excited and it all looks and feels beautiful! Thanks!!!!!

Travel with infrared, and do it while sleeping. Check out an Amethyst BioMat.
I sleep on mine every night, and love it, love it, love it.
3:25 pm on December 15th, 2009
You won that thing?! That’s insane!!!
Nope, never had any type of sauna.
3:30 pm on December 15th, 2009
There are a couple of them at my gym and I love using them! I always feel amazing when I get out. I think I’ll use it tonight after Centergy
I also learned about going from sauna to snow while living in Russia and hanging out in the banyas there, they swore by doing this for great health. I just think it is fun to have snow ball fights in my bathing suit!
3:32 pm on December 15th, 2009
I never have tried it, but I do have a friend with fibromyalgia and exhausted adrenal glands who is thinking of getting one. I would love to know if anyone out there has had good results who has a similar body condition. Thanks for always a great program and happy holidays!

I LOVE saunas. I’ve been wanting to buy an infrared for our house, but who knows, maybe I’ll win one, too! You never know…
Do you think there is a big difference between the different brands available?
3:41 pm on December 15th, 2009
Would the heat of an infrared sauna kill bacteria? I am looking for means to kill the spirochetes that have invaded my body. Many years ago when I worked in Bonn/Germany I went to a steam sauna and subsequently went outside in the cold pool during the winter. It was very invigorating.
4:03 pm on December 15th, 2009
For those who are using a conventional sauna, you need to stay in for an hour or more at a low temp (120F) in order to actually remove toxins. The reason for the low temp is because you have to stay longerin order for your tissues to give up the toxins, and you need to stay hydrated while you are there, as Kevin said. The infrared allows you to do it in a much shorter time, and as others have said, you need to shower afterward with soap to remove the toxins from the skin or they will be absorbed back in.

I have a far infrared sauna and I love it! I got it very recently, 1 week ago, been using it everyday and its just amazing… i recommand it mostly for everybody looking to remove heavy metals for their body and also for general detox of toxins (plastics, pesticides, etc)
Its the first time i write a comment but ive been watching the show for a while and i love you guys! There is always this nice energy surrounding but of you.
4:21 pm on December 15th, 2009
Interesting. What about the EMFs though? I guess they would be negated in the shower….
4:49 pm on December 15th, 2009
I heard that you must be careful about the type of material the sauna is made out of because certain woods give off toxins themselves. I’ll check my files to see if I can find the source – it was a fellow healer in Texas who provided that info.
4:51 pm on December 15th, 2009
Love Love Love the farinfrared sauna. You must have electrolyte replacement drink while you are in since you sweat lots. Followed by a nice cool/cold shower -pure heaven!!!

Hi Kevin:
I’ve had my Health Mate infrared sauna since 2001. I love it. I got out of the habit of using it, but after hearing Dr. Clement at Living Light Expo say how important it is, I got back into the daily habit. Now my skin is very very smooth/soft once again. It’s great in the winter. Warms the bones. Thanks for all your great information. Happy Holidays!

If you are not pulling a car or something else on the back end of the RV and you want to take the sauna on the road with you (a sauna-to-go), a few suggestions…
1. Make a trailer for it that attaches to the RV
2. Build a device that lifts and attaches the sauna to the back of the RV and then lowers it to the ground when needed.
If these suggestions don’t work for you, maybe it will trigger a workable solution.
… just suggesting…

Have you heard about Sauna Ray? They claim their sauna’s are Medical Grade? Is there a difference?
Thanks.
And yes, I have used one and am looking to buy one.

Hi Everyone,
Yep, I have owned an infrared sauna for over ten years! Can’t imagine living in Maine without one; actually, I probably couldn’t survive these winters without my sauna. Sitting in a sauna, reading a book if I’m alone, or chatting with a daughter, sweating, it all feels SO GOOD. I tell people I’m sweating all my badness out. And afterwards, after a shower, you feel so relaxed and happy, and clean–totally clean.
But how did you win a sauna? What a great prize!
Stay warm,
Laura
5:56 pm on December 15th, 2009
Actually no I haven’t..BUT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED ONE!!!
Ok ok…a I am not yelling..just excited for you on your big win!
I have had RA since I have been 27 and these things are recommended for people with rhematoid arthritis. I know a regular sauna works wonders for me but the infared is suppose to be the best ever!!!

I love the infrared sauna. Feel so nice to get all warm, plus the detox effects are great.
Casey

Congrats on the sauna!! I haven’t ever used one… but if I ever get the chance I definitely will.
Can you simulate the same effect in the shower by doing a hot-cold-hot-cold variation with the water?
7:27 pm on December 15th, 2009
BEWARE!!!!!!! Infared Saunas or anything infared is totally destructive to the body. The infared rays seemly show an appearance of healing a condition when actually the negative energy just moved to another part of the body. It is not truly healed. Plus infared rays attach the body to destructive forces (destructive rates of vibrations) that the person has to deal with later. Infared Saunas are a pawn of the sinister force trying to destroy those who want healing & freedom. This information is in the books of the Ascended Masters Instruction and was given to us to avoid falling into a pitfall of evil forces.

I love my far infrared sauna. We have had one for six years and it is great for a once a week sweat or when I have a cold. I find that a daily sauna can be draining in the long run, though.
BTW, it does NOT melt fat (unless the fat is in a jar placed in the hot sauna)!
8:52 pm on December 15th, 2009
I have a Sunlight Sauna in my home and LOVE IT! I’ve had it for about 3 years now…what an awesome gift to give yourself. The gift of health.
8:57 pm on December 15th, 2009
I want to see if the light hurts eyes when it is on. Do you need glasses in there?
You HAVE to tape yourselves heating up, doing snow angels then heating up again – that would be so much fun!

Hi…….I just purchased a FarInfrared sauna 3 months ago (It’s been on my “wish list” for a year!)
I don’t have any major health issues, but wanted it for the detoxification of the body.
Several people have commented on the improved
condition of my skin since using the sauna.
I love the relaxed feeling it gives me, and knowing it is detoxing my body is very positive.
I’m a little disturbed by the “beware”comments from Sheryl….I have never read anything negative about the use of this technology and I have researched it for the past several years….only very positive
effects for pain relief, detoxification etc.
9:45 pm on December 15th, 2009
Really disturbed what I just read by sheryls comments, don’t know what to think abou it, I thought infared was good for you
I have one and used it every day for a 6 months, and the one very very bad thing that happened is I got cellulite, and I never never had that. So when I asked the guy who makes them told me that since they bring toxins to the surface, it is the trapped toxins in there. He told me to keep sitting in it, but the cellulite is still there. So it sure feels good when you are in there, but that was a hefty price to pay
Sheryl if you read this, can you tell me which book is this in, and who is the author, thanks

Kevin, How cool that you WON it. I’m curious to know how you won it!.
Question: After the holidays I want to do a candida program. I have the supplements but I want to know what you did exactly. I know that you juiced a lot and obviously all sugars are out (except stevia). Did you only eat raw foods? And most importantly: How did you get your fiber? Since with juicing you remove all or most of the fibers
I would appreciate your comments
Thanks

Actually you can get an affordable (under $1000, portable, 100% Far Infrared Sauna, the most healing, for your RV!
Melinda and I travel with ours all the time. It fits into a small bag and we set it up in our hotel room or when we stay over with family, and in about 3 minutes its up and running. We use it daily to importantly detox and also get lactic acid out after a good workout. It’s about 32 inches square. Through end of year it sells for a $100 less than regularly (thanks greatly to the distributors holiday special). If interested to know more about this blessed device go to http://www.raw-wisdom.com/sauna for all the minute details. There is a newsletter link there for holiday specials (discounts are only for subscribers who sign in. We orginally bought a really, really cheap sauna from China knowing we couldn’t afford the 3,000 ones but it didn’t work! Then we found this best-of-home-portables, with a patented microchip technology for 100% FIR, a registered medical device, and now we love it and use it religiously. Its helped boost our energy and cleared up skin conditions. Where there is a will there is a way! If you’d like to find out more at our rawesome website go there or email us directly: info@raw-wisdom.com

Congrats on Sauna…
Annmarie – I love the color your sisters walls!
I have used both forms for therapeutic reasons.
I read volumes of information on the benefits of saunas before using them regularly.
I followed a series of medical studies following the use of saunas for heart patients in hospital settings because of the measured cardiovascular benefit of these saunas.
I have found there is benefit in acclimating to the hot and the cold for my circulation so feel the series of sauna treatments that I have used to support fasting and detox was most beneficial for me.
Hydration a must and proper pacing brings great benefit. Nice to rest deeply afterwards.
Enjoy!

“Significant other “? Did you mean man and wife Kevin? And if so, why not say husband or wife . To me” Significant Other” means, ok we don”t want to offend any gays or lesbians because of their ungodly SINFUL life style, society has to change it’s ideology and accept their wicked behavior .God calls it an ABOMINATION in His sight. That ends man’s humanistic rational of calling evil good and good evil.—Thus saith the Lord God. Since man has been on earth for thousands of years and all nationalities accept man and woman to as a family unit for only a woman can bring children into this world. The most important INSTITUTION their is in the World, and Ordained by God Himself is THE FAMILY INSTITUTION. God ordained marriage to be with a man and a woman for LIFE . ‘TILL DEATH DO US PART.’ And divorce only in very very justifiable reasons eg. spouse cheats on wife /husband,spouse beater or endangers life of family . As christians we are to stand up for truth in what God says .For God is the creator of LIFE . For he is LIFE. Thank you .

This will also help to kill off parasites and fungi too. Since the body is heating from the inside the critters will die off because they are getting “cooked”

Yes, I have used a far infrared sauna. Love them. I have an Amethyst BioMat like David mentioned above. I like it because it is portable and fits on a massage table. My clients love it too. Same far infrared energy and benefits. I do love the sauna too.

Yes I use them a few times every week in my gym and friends place they are also great to use before shaving. Those old movies with the hot towel were on the $. Your right it is So invigorating especially when it is cold outside.
A natural high:) when you go out after spending time in the sauna. I do have a question in the gym I goto guys get off on pouring water on the stones I am a little concerned with breathing in
chlorine and fluoride from the water so I try to bring spring water but its not always possible have you heard anything about breathing in steam from water that has chlorine and or fluoride in it??

Wow! I was so excited to learn about the new sauna! I have never seen a infra red one and wish to learn more about them! I like the traditional ones a lot and always liked the sweating and then cooling off aspects.
I know that sweating is good for getting rid of toxins! Thanks for sharing this with us!!I will research them more and wish to have have the experience of one someday!

I’ve had mine for about a year. LOVE IT! Plus the fact that it has a stereo in it. It’s my time to totally relax and listen to some good tunes. Drink a whole glass of water before you go in and bring one with you. Mine has an air ionizer in it, so the smell is wonderful. Definitely makes you feel like you are getting a real good cleanse. I use mine approx. 4-5 times a week for 35 minutes at 140 degrees. You guys are going to love it!
9:49 am on December 16th, 2009
I have owned an infrared sauna probably about eight years now and it is everything you would want in a sauna, mine has a stereo and CD player. Its so relaxing that I found I cannot take one before going to work because it interferes with my alertness, but if you’ve had a bad day it does the trick believe me.
10:07 am on December 16th, 2009
God will punish you!! Haha, as if.
Infrared heat is the heat of choice at most (best) Hot Yoga classes! It’s a fantastic way to heat all the bodies in the room without clogging the air, especially since conscientious breathing is such an essential component of this amazing exercise. I love hot yoga, though some people have suggested that it might be too hard on the body and unnatural (as far as the extreme heat changes). I think we are more at risk of overextending our bodies while they are more supple in the heat than hurt from the heat itself, but it’s a good argument. Decide for yourself and see how you feel after a class, right? yeah.
10:08 am on December 16th, 2009
I started doing IR sauna a couple months ago and I LOVE how it feels. I don’t know if it’s helping my health issues, but it feels so good it’s helping my mood, so that’s good enough for me! So far I have done 5 weekly 60 mins at 135 and I still haven’t broken a sweat. I drink a LOT of water (around 100 oz a day), so I know it’s not a hydration issue. Anyone else not sweat? Isn’t that the point of it?
10:09 am on December 16th, 2009
P.S. I don’t suppose you are guaranteeing delivery to Canada before the holidays, are you? I hail from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have been holding off ordering Annmarie’s line because it would likely be held at the border for 2 weeks in customs anyway
11:07 am on December 16th, 2009
No, Ive never been…Question: Have you heard about those new patches from Life Wave? They have them for everything from detoxing to increasing energy. It seems a little strange to me, but I have just heard about it and dont know much.
Just wondering what your thoughts on that is.
11:37 am on December 16th, 2009
We built our own infrared sauna this year. We did not use cedar wood because it off gases and you don’t want to breathe in those toxins. We used pine but some companies use hemlock. We got our heaters from Sauna Ray in Ontario, Canada since they emit the lowest radiation when the heaters are on. We checked infrared saunas here in Edmonton, AB and some emit very high levels. One does need to check this because you do want to get the biggest benefit you can if you are going to use a sauna. One big benefit is getting rid of toxins in your body. It is important to take a few towels in and keep wiping your body so your skin does not reabsorb the toxins. We really like our sauna and enjoy using it.
12:48 pm on December 16th, 2009
We have had one for about 4 1/2 years now and love it. We have live blood analysis and other tests done every year and now all the testing shows no metal in our body, no toxins and no free radicals with high levels of antioxydants present. We use it at least twice a week for about an hour.
12:52 pm on December 16th, 2009
Infrared saunas are an excellent tool for detoxification. It is used by many in the medical industry for breast cancer healing and heavy metal and chemical detoxification. The type of wood used is very important since certain woods do release toxins. Same thing applies to all the materials used in manufacturing. Also, beware of any saunas made in China- not only have many been recalled/banned because they are a fire hazard, but also, wood used in Chinese made saunas are usually shipped to China and then back to the US and Canada. The wood must be fumigated and treated with chemicals in order to re-enter the US. This means that you will actually do more harm than good by using them since more toxins will be released when using the sauna.
The Sauna Ray saunas are excellent, check out their website for in-depth information regarding infra red saunas.
Congratulations Kevin and Anne Marie on winning that sauna.
What a great Christmas gift!

Today was the first time I’ve seen an infrared sauna. Thanks for sharing. About 15 years ago I was involved with the Nikken company that sells far-infrared products along with health magnets, etc. I have and use their far-infrared sports wraps, socks, vest, and comforter for my bed. I love them all. A friend recently shared her far-infrared dome with me and I loved that too.
3:16 pm on December 16th, 2009
I’ve only used traditional saunas, but I have had infrared light treatment.
I suggest you not jump into the snow right after useing the infrared sauna. At that time your body temperature will be extremely elevated, jumping into the snow would more than likely shock your system. Better to adjust your body temperature gradually. Get warm, then go out into the snow. It is just as effective. This is the method we used at the natural health clinic I worked at and we always had good results.
Thanks for showing us the sauna. God bless!
6:53 pm on December 16th, 2009
Regarding Sarah’s question about not sweating:
Check your sauna’s thermostat. Bring in an accurate thermometer with you, to make sure it really is 135 degrees. Place the thermometer in a glass of warm water, and as the water gets hotter, the thermometer will record it. Don’t just bring in a thermometer by itself, because since it is made of metal, it will record a higher temperature than what is really there.
Also, check your own temperature before you go in. Is your body temperature on the cool side? If it is, then you will need more time to break a sweat. Also, do you have low thyroid function? That can also keep your body on the cool side.
Or, you may need to just turn up the heat, to 140 or 145.
And yes, the whole point of the sauna is to sweat. If you’re just sitting there for an hour and not sweating, it’s not doing you much good.
Good luck and good sweating.

Congratulations on winning a sauna!Rawkin Manifestation! Nathan and I love our portable FIR sauna and use it 2x a day. We bought a cheap portable on Ebay a year ago and we too did not sweat. The one we have now is sooooo much better. Within 15 minutes you are in a full sweat. Gabriel Cousens and others say a FIR sauna is 5x more effective for healing than a regular sauna. Nathan has done a lot of research on our website- check out our sauna videos too. http://www.raw-wisdom.com/saunavideos Blessings and have a rawsome holiday season.

Great prize! I’d love to know what the contest was that you won!

I used to love infrared saunas, I’d travel a whole day just to use them. But I met a health practitioner, who knows a Chinese technique called Sho Tai, she can test anything and she will know about it. She told me that infrared heat is dangerouse as it actually puts radiation into your body. So now I just use the traditional saunas.
As for John: I am horrified that you would use this as a way to voice ignorance and prejudism. I am a straight female, happily in a relationship with a man. But have twice fallen inlove with a female. I know that sex has nothing to do with love. And since God is love you should know this too!!!
12:52 pm on December 22nd, 2009
If you don’t sweat in a sauna it could mean you don’t drink enough liquids and your body is not properly hydrated. Make sure you drink at least 2l of water during several hours prior to entering sauna. Don’t drink more than a glass/hour because body cannot assimilate more and will just flush it out through the kidneys instead of bringing it to the cells.
10:57 am on December 23rd, 2009
We have a traditional (dry) sauna in our home. I used to use it nearly every day last winter, but after we got the electric bill, my husband said I needed to only use it once a week or so.
Now that it’s winter again, I’ve started using it again once or twice a week. I hate being cold and the heat feels really nice.
Plus I can hide from my kids in their for a while, which is an added benefit.

We have a portable one in our house and have been using it alot. Using it in combinations with skin brushing has definitely made a difference in my skin and cellulite. I’ve also found it very soothing for cramps and relieving PMS symptoms.
