After yesterday’s episode, I realized I hit quite a chord…
Today, I’m going to clarify some of the comments posted as well as explain a little further where we can get salts into our diet without adding overt sea salt, Celtic salt, Himalayan salt, etc. to everything.
Plus, we also have a special announcement for you…
Take a look…

I think the best thing you did on the tour was make the decision to do go on the tour! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

My favorite thing that you did was the little device you made up to test minerals in your liquids at the health food store. That was great! I had my contractor make me up one and I use it at all my presentations I do…then my girlfriend wanted one for her presentations…it was awesome…thanx, your the BEST!

Hi- I have enjoyed watching y’all have such a wonderful year together!! I really appreciate all of the lovely recipes that Annmarie gave us. It helps to have something new to try out in the kitchen. I went to order things on your website but it did not have a security link? that I could see? I also could not post a question/suggestion -it would not go through?? Anyway, thanks for all of the interviews– it was great to get such diverse infomation from across the country that I would not have been able to gather on my own.
Enjoy being home for the holidays and each other.

Great info as always and the name calling thing…well I have a saying that may or may not be so ‘good’ but for those who insist on bashing me, etc. I tell them until they can call me a name I haven’t already been called I’m not impressed.
Course that’s kinda whacked since that would imply I’ve been called a lot of names, and sadly I have! Of course I’m like nearly twice as old as you two so it comes with the territory.
Good quote for the day: “You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life” – Winston Churchill
So, just think of that when the name callers are out in force!

By far, the best thing to come out of your tour was the information about Dr. Max Gerson! OMG – he put together all the pieces about healing and health – way before his time! I’ve studied pH effects on the body, raw food eating, hydrogen peroxide effects on cancer, am a licensed colon hydrotherapist, listened to countless tapes and watched countless videos. Dr. Gerson takes ALL these individual parts and made them into a whole – way before half these other people were even born. He was right on the mark and I sure hope his work continues for a long, long time. I can never thank you enough for introducing his work to us. You both are DOLLS!!

I enjoyed visiting with you here in Phoenix. My favorite part about the tour or a show uhmmm…..that is really hard. I would have to say that I enjoyed the show with the raised bed garden in the front yard in california.
The gerson part was pretty cool and seeing you in south america or when Kevin played the guitar while angela sang…..I can’t decide.
Great road tour!!!!!!

I’m giving my parents some kelp & nori granules for Christmas, as my dad puts too much salt (white sea salt) on his food. It is an improvement from regular table salt, but I think this will help them get to the next level.
My favourite part of the Renegade Health tour is the different “experts” that you have had on your shows. Such a wide and diversion pool of information.
2:34 pm on November 24th, 2009
Annemarie, You have the look of ‘end of tour’ tiredness. =(
I could not pick a favorite show~I love them all and am always excited about the topics.
Kevin, I love your energy~a sign of great health! =)

It’s a little OT, but I think it’s really great that you are also tackling the mental and emotional aspects of diet and people’s tendencies to fixate. For me that was the best part of this post – A lot of people can become creatures of habit and it’s good that you are helping them take a step back and try to identify if they are more than just physically attached to certain foods and intakes.

My husband’s favourite part of the tour, is that he got to see so much of Johnnie5 – can you tell he is a cat person?

Thank you Kevin and Annmarie for your great job!
We all know that the most important is to listen to our own body.
Nutrition is this special kind of science where one issue might be seen from two different perspectives (with both perspectives correct). Two different people might be right about something for example “the use of salt”, but their views might be quite diverse.

Kevin,
As far as I’m concerned, for me there wasn’t a favorite show. I liked them all. I admit that some were more interesting than others. I really liked your show about the E3 live harvesting in Oregon. Personally I do not worry too much about the nitty-gritty stuff such as my consumption of salt but I think you hit a sensitive spot yesterday.
My husband, however, told me too that at the Hippocrates institute they encourage to use sea vegetables over sea salt. I don’t think that they think it is bad for you but sea veggies are just better. According to him some of the guests thought that certain foods were too “bland” but I guess that has to do with how your tongue has been “shaped” Another thing that they discourage (and I hope I’m not insulting fellow readers) is the use of too much oil. According to them too much “clogs” your cells. Before his Hip experience, we were going through A LOT of olive oil and we loved (and still do) Southern European foods with a vegetarian twist but now we make wonderful salad dressings without the use of that much oil. I guess everything has its place. For me food also has to do with flavor and I tent to be more intuitive about it. You can tell me that a certain food is the best for me but if I don’t like the taste, I just won’t eat it. I guess that is the main reason why I still don’t drink my wheat grass every day although I’m growing it myself
Have you still considered getting Brian Clement on your show?

Hey guys, love the show.
Guru means teacher, so you are a Guru.
Ultimately God is the only Guru, but if you know something and can be of service to your fellow man, where is the problem.
You have grown tremendously since your guacamole days in that little kitchen.
Keep up the great work.

Hey –
Where’s the info on when/where etc for the talk you’re doing in Westport? I live in CT and would like to come, but need details!
As for my favorites of what you’ve done on tour, I loved the Brigitte Mars stuff, as well as the raised bed and remineralization shows. If we don’t want to deal with the enormous downsides of industrial agriculture, conventional or organic, then we each must take some responsibility for growing our own food supply. Not all of it, but as much as we can. If that’s just a small plot of greens, great. If more, even better. But while demand is so great for food at the grocery store, the growers will continue growing on an unhealthily enormous scale. We’re vegan, so are exploring things like remineralizing and green manures to enrich our land.
We have 1 acre and dug up most of the front and one of the side yards to put in some raised beds (no sides, just lovely mounds of dirt, sleeping for the winter under several inches of hay. They make me happy as I contemplate the enormous fountains of kale we harvested this year, as well as all the tomatoes and red peppers we’ll be adding for next year!
Anyway, thanks for all you do! I love hearing about new things to explore on your show! Are you going to settle back in CT for the winter?

I have been enjoying all the videos of you guys touring the West Coast
Ok it seems like you guys were on the West Coast most of the year.

Thanks for the clarification of the salt issue. There is very easy way to know if you have too much salt in your system or whether you have the luxury of using a little extra on your food. A $70 conductivity meter will test the conductivity of the urine and if it falls within a certain range, you’re okay. You can also test for mineral deficiencies with a test designed by Dr. Cary Reams. My website http://www.Re-Mineralize talks about it.

Hi,
I was just wondering..what do you guys think of using a dessicated adrenal or other type support from organs of animals?
I have been vegetarian for quite some time, but am suffering from deep exhaustion. i have looked at lloyds power solution derived from nat cell . the website is http://www.powersolution.org.
I am a bit on the fence with this one..wondering your thoughts.
Thanks and happy holidays! Misty

I appreciate all I have learned from you over the past few months I have been tuning in. I love the recipes, the invited guests, the exercises, the kitty cat, the scenic adventures, and the fact that you are a very sweet and sincere couple genuinely interested in sharing what you have learned with others. I’ve improved my diet, I’m sleeping better, feel better and I share what I’ve learned with others. I appreciate all the advice and comments given by peple who take the time to leave a comment as well.
Best wishes.

Thank you very much for your daily show. I enjoy it at the other side of the Atlantic ocean.
Of course I enjoyed to watch your show with Robert Cheeke, the vegan bodybuilder from Portland, who is a good friend from me… but all interviews, cooking, fitness Friday in campgrounds early in the morning are my favors.
The tour is already finished ? Are you selling your RV to be back in your Condo in NY ?
How many miles did you drive ? and how many time or miles did you drive using fries oil instead gazoil during your tour ? What is then next for you ? Did you want to organize a big trip to Equador with Healthranger Mike Adam ?
happy thanksgiving and have a rest holiday.
I will watch your last show for this week tomorrow
Dr Jerome from France.

Enjoy your shows! FYI – I believe that those who criticize harshly just expose their own ignorance/weakness (like bullies on the playground) – we all have a right to our own opinions but should share them, if at all, in a kind/constructive manner…I enjoyed the gardening shows – raised beds are my plan for next summer – can’t wait! Happy Thanksgiving!

I love all of your shows and Annemarie, you don’t look tired, you look great! I love it when Kevin tells you how cute you are! So sweet!
My favorite shows are the cooking ones and all the info you give for what you believe in and know to be true! I guess that means all of them huh?
Of course, Johnny5! We all love him!!!

That the two of you were able to live/work/travel in such close quarters for such a long time and still show each other such love and kindness is delightful to see. I’m sure that it was not easy at times but your healthy minds/bodies/spirits helped your enjoy this journey together. I enjoyed so many shows it’s hard to pick one. Thank you for your tireless effort.

Oh Golly, so many wonderful shows. No duds for me…
High on the list is the show somewhere in Colorado where you tested various products and light bulb was used as the indicator – that was cool. And anything that promotes growing your own is a winner.
I love the practical ‘here’s how I do it, here is why I do it, and references for more information’ type shows. So the cooking shows fit into that category and provide value every time.
Love – Kevin’s enthusiasm, attention to details, quality and consistency. You’ve truly enriched my life. I will miss you all as I take off for several months where time on the internet will be limited.
I love the question of the day — it has engaged me online for the first time.
Thanks for all who stuck up for Kevin as so many of you had done so and I had already written my bit on the ‘dogmatism’ in the raw world that turns mean fast.
How wonderful that AnnMarie spoke out today. Nice!
Love to you both, Dawni

Kevin,
The key is to balance intake of sodium and potassium. People who eat a lot of bananas and other high-potassium fruits need to either use some salt OR eat a very large amount of greens and sea veggies, so the potassium and sodium are balanced.
You should know that fruits do not contain much sodium. Fruits are very high in potassium and extremely low in sodium. Also, nuts and seeds and grains do not contain sodium in any significant amounts. Your only significant food sources of sodium are greens and sea veggies.
Since you, Kevin, eat a lot of greens and sea veggies, you probably get enough sodium from your diet. But for those of us who eat a lot of fruit, we are getting a very large amount of potassium every day, and we need to take in some salt to keep things in balance.
Also, people who sweat a lot will need more sodium. The fluid inside the cells contains more potassium, and the fluid outside the cells, that is, the blood and lymph, contains more sodium. So, when you sweat, you are mostly losing sodium, not potassium. Therefore, athletes and other people who sweat a lot will need more sodium than people who don’t sweat much.
I just wanted you to understand the complexity of the subject, and that some people’s need for sodium is greater than others.
You can tell if you are getting deficient in sodium because you will tend to get tired easily and your muscles won’t work very well, and you may get nasty cramps.
I live in Hawaii, eat a lot of fruit and sweat a lot. Therefore, I need some salt every day. If you live in cooler climates, eat a ton of greens and don’t sweat much, you may not need to eat salt.
Let’s all practice tolerance of each other’s differences, so we can all get along.
In peace,
Michael T.

I like the variety. It’s not just all interviews, or all recipes, or all anything. The variety is what makes it spicy and helps make me look forward to each show. I learned so much via your show this year.
Thankful for all you do,

I like all your shows.I have learned a lot in my short time going raw.I’m not 100%,maybe 80%.My colestrol has dropped 30% in 6 mo between blood works.I quit the pill for 3 months before my blood work & my doctor said that was great & asked a lot of questions about my new way of eating.
I have 6 big totes ready to fill with soil this spring to raise my veggies in.I have black plastic which I’ll cover with mulch so there won’t be any grass or weeds near them,Lord willing I’ll have a weed free veggie patch.
Keep up the good work. Johnnie5 sounded like he may have Siamese in him.

You have some great information here but I have to say I found it odd that your third reason for someone being angry about what you said about salt intake may have something to do with “guru worshiping”. It’s so off in left field. I don’t mean any offense by that but what does that have to do with anything? You may as well have said you know perhaps you’re angry with salt because you were abused as a child or something. You hit the nail on the head with your first answer. Then you ventured off into this guru worshiping thing that has no correlation at all and it makes me think perhaps you have some resistance to gurus that needs to be looked at or “faced head on” like you were saying. Do you see what I’m saying? Go into that resistance. “Explore it, see what happens.” : )
I don’t have any problems with people that choose to have a guru in their life. I don’t know perhaps you’re projecting what kind of a guru you would be if people were worshiping you and you don’t like what you see. There are some gurus in the world that don’t have pure intentions and then there are some that do. The fact that this clearly bothers you shows that it needs to be addressed.
Anyway you have some great info here and you seem like a really likable person. I wish you all the best!
Don
BTW if you’re wondering why your video camera is overexposing you in this video it’s because you guys are both wearing black. This fools that camera into thinking that there isn’t enough light so you get blown out. I’m a photographer by profession.

Enjoy your holiday and rest! You guys need it! Thanks for the great shows and all the wonderful information on foods I never would have considered!! I am not 100% raw, but what i have incorporated has really worked for me…energy, change in blood pressure, weight loss, postive attitude and I could go on and on. I thank you again and Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree with everyone who has posted! This particular blog has a bit of everything so it is definitely not boring or predictable! It is like the surprise of the day–what will Kevin do THIS time!? Will Anne Marie speak today? It is refreshing, challenging, educational, humourous, in bite-size chunks, open-minded… I would really miss this blog if it disappeared. I am waaaaay behind on my e-mails, but I stay caught up with Kevin and Marie!
You guys have hit upon a winning formula, and I don’t think you should change it based on anyone’s “favourite part of the tour” (and I don’t think that’s what you have in mind).
Thanks for sharing your lives with us!

I enjoy the food prep shows because I’m not very good at it and need to learn.
Yes, we need to listen to how we feel and how things affect us most importantly.
I really crave salt (Himalayan from a salt grinder) and drink it in my water every day, but I have various health issues like adrenal fatigue and chronic candida/leaky gut, so I never get swelling in my hands from it because I only consume what I crave and I also don’t eat processed salt. But I know I also don’t eat enough greens either.
As Michael T. said, everyone has different needs according to their health and lifestyle.
Your shows are Awesome and Johnny 5 is the best bonus!

Dear Kevin and Ann Marie, you both articulated very very well the past two days about salt . I would like to say in the business your in or any business where one tries sincerely to help people, your always going to have some one here and their who voices out and gets into name calling .I would like to strongly encourage you Kevin to take what these individuals say with a grain of salt, and stay true to the truth. As I believe what you say about salt much the same as Dr.Norman Walker in his classic books who he and his wife both lived way past 100 . You both do a excellent job. God bless both of you .

What is your issue with quality raw unprocessed unrefined total salt? Thousands of lives have been saved due to a saline solution used in hospitals. We all need salt to maintain homeostasis and basic body function. What we need in life is balance. Be careful avoiding salt, for it can be very dangerous. Celtic Sea Salt is doctor recommended because it contains all of the minerals naturally occurring in sea water, not just sodium and chloride. Vegan, raw diets without salty meat is risky, unless you are always on time with your meals. You might as well have some naturally sublimated ocean water to keep you alive. Good Luck avoiding salt, and be careful recommending a low salt diet, since you are probably not a doctor. I feel the need to express the importance of quality salt. Moist natural crystal salt has benefits that dry salt does not, whether it is sea salt, mountain salt, or mined salt. The processing is what we should be concerned about. You have loyal followers, so please be clear about your point of avoiding salt. If you are a raw foodie, then why not promote raw salt to help balance homeostasis and keep the bodies inner oceans at peace? Raw salt is so beautiful and brings out the subtle flavors in foods, so what is your issue with raw salt?
10:18 pm on November 24th, 2009
I feel like if you are anything at all similar to this raw vegan diet, you probably are eating too many sweet things (smoothies) and too many indigestible things (too many raw vegetables, greens.) Neither of which have salt. Eat good food with good salt. Like soup. Or rice and beans, whatever salty dish you need. I am particularly affectionate for raw oysters. Taste of the ocean! I don’t know who I’m commenting for or why I’m commenting at this point, but I must say that I strongly disagree with Gianni here when it comes to eating fat and salt(and I mean good sea salt). These are the most important parts of a diet!!
10:20 pm on November 24th, 2009
just want to clarify, by diet I mean what you eat, not something you are doing to try to loose weight. that is something else completely.
Me personally, I can hardly get enough calories in the day and I eat butter and pastured lard and nut butters like crazy

I’ve watched your show for a few months now, and really enjoyed the variety and just listening to both of you. You’re a delightful couple and your desire to help others shines through all you do. Thank you for all I’ve learned. Now that I think on it, I really love your upbeat attitude, Kevin, and look forward to your shows. Sometimes you or Annmarie or Johnnie 5 make me laugh, too; an added bonus. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Hi Kevin,
I was wondering about algae superfoods (like spirulina, marine phytoplankton, and blue-green) if you are on a anti-candida diet. I read the pH miracle diet, and they recommend staying away from algae (as well as yeast, mushrooms and vinegar). What do you think about this? Are they good to avoid just for a while, then maybe slowly reintroduce them?
My favorite thing you’ve done… hmm… well I like everything you’ve done! I do know one of my favorite things you (Kevin) have said. It it was that its not about being 100% raw, or 100% anything, it’s about reaching your optimum health. That really stuck with me and has changed my outlook. You both are a blessing
In the spirit of Thankgiving- I am definitely thankful for you guys, and the renegade health show!
12:34 am on November 25th, 2009
Best thing you did . . . For us, the best thing is the consistency of the show, that you kept that commitment. It’s pretty amazing that you uploaded a well-done video practically every day. I imagine you have bad days, but you still have managed to pull through, and that’s really meaningful. You’ve helped inspire at least two people to stick toraw foods.
I think what you’re saying about salt makes sense. I like to throw in a shake or two of it every now and then if I think about it – there’s a great Kids in the Hall sketch where a disgruntled abusive father gets angry about his wife’s bad cooking and says “pass the flavor, family.” You’d have to see it, but I assure you it is hilarious.
Salt can sort of capture the imagination, it appears in spiritual writings, it is something that, yes indeed, wars have been fought over. It’s a substance that humans have found useful throughout time, so I’m not ready to rule it out yet, but I’ll consider it if I don’t feel good when I eat it. I don’t think my diet is as “clean” as yours, yet, but perhaps as I get cleaner I won’t want to use it as much salt.
I thought of a question for you: some “health gurus” say it’s better to eat in the morning when your digestion is high, others say you have to ease into it because you are coming off of your night’s fast – what is your experience and what is the actual science on this? I find that I like to eat later in the day and don’t like eating in the morning, but I think it may be because my pattern is that I eat later in the day so I’m not ready to eat much again the next morning.
12:40 am on November 25th, 2009
Brianna,
I am going to reply to your question because I happen to be on line right after you, and because I have read about the pH miracle diet and Dr. Young. Kevin may have a different answer, of course.
I think the pH miracle diet is way too strict. There is no reason to avoid blue-green algae, since it is among the most nutritious foods on earth. Dr. Young seems to be afraid of any food that contains much protein, and he probably doesn’t like algae because it is high in protein. But no one is likely to eat more than a tablespoon or two of the stuff per day, so it is not going to add a lot of protein to your diet.
Too much protein can leave acidic residue in the body, but that is extremely unlikely to occur from eating algae. Besides, algae is rich in magnesium, which is an alkalizing mineral. And the chlorophyll will help your body detoxify from the candida die-off.
If you are avoiding all sugars and starches, your diet is already too strict. So go ahead and have some algae. You need to eat something, right?

Kevin and Annmarie, congrats on a very successful cross country tour – I hope you all had as much fun as we did watching you!! I’m sure your family is very glad you are back home for a while, and I hope you get to relax and rejuvenate…looking forward to seeing vacation videos!

I’m pretty new to this site, I’ve been watching for only a few days now. I have to say you seem really well informed, and I like the way you present things. I love the fact that you want it to be about knowing your body and your body’s needs. Not everyone is the same, and may not even be within the parameters of what the medical community considers “normal”. I agree with the guy above who said you are a guru. That does not necessarily mean you know everything, but you are teaching us, and helping us teach ourselves. To the person who was confused about the “guru worshiping”: It means that people take what their “guru” says to be concrete and for everyone, ignoring other facts and refusing to test it for themselves (or want others to test it for themselves). It’s basically just closed-mindedness.
I would like to say that I tried eating completely raw for 30 days. I was eating lots of fruits (including tons of bananas daily) and found myself CRAVING salads like CRAZY. I believe that was my body telling me I needed more salt. I was completely new to the idea of eating raw, and I was inspired to try it by Steve Pavlina. I had to stop because I couldn’t figure out how to afford it (or how to do it properly without getting bored), but while I did it I felt amazing. I’ve had diabetes for 12 years, and I haven’t had a considerable amount of energy since I was diagnosed, so that was an incredible experience. I knew right then that I had to figure out some way to get down to eating more healthy natural whole foods. I am planning to start a garden in the spring (somehow or another!) so that I can grow some of my own foods, and hopefully I can get started on eating more fresh healthy foods instead of that prepackaged processed crap they call food at the supermarket.
Anyway, I’m loving this show and I’m looking forward to getting into some of the old shows and watching the new ones!

My favorite thing is that you are there every morning to start my day. Consistantly. I started preferring the recipes, as I needed ideas and a (non)cooking training; Then it was learning the players in the raw food arena. Now it is general information and back ground knowledge.
And I need it everyday, for the support and discipline. Thank you for all you do.

Hi kevin and anne marie and support,
I think the ‘added salt’ issue is finally addressed I would ask that while you suggest
a lot of additional avenues to please bear in mind that there is a financial cost in getting testing, supplements etc-food should be our first stop.
I first read about the folly of
added salt from Tonya Zavasta in her first book.
I am pleased that you believe we should be our
own ‘guru’. On your long tour you have met many so called gurus it appears you you have
synthesised bits of knowlege from a variety
of people and you have always encouraged us
to test and see what works for us.
Fears can keep us from moving and evolving
our diet, but it was fear that got me into
using celtic sea salt as shop bought commercially grown organic vegetables were
classed as minimal organic standard and only
slightly better than non-organic.In any event
recommended daily intake should not exceed
6 grammes but I only use a pinch once a day
with soup (sorry-i’m not 100% raw).
May I ask-when you sweat during exercise-
what minerals do you lose in your sweat?
should you sample your sweat from different sweat glands like you do with hair, nails and
blood and get them analysed. From that does it
tell you how your body uses minerals and high
light any deficiencies.

while you can have too much salt, you can have swollen hands or ankles or even feet because you arent getting enough water! you are suppose to drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day. Thats why the doctor tells you to drink 8-10 glasses a day. That is for average weight people though. So if you are 200 lbs you should be getting 100 ounces of water. Check out the book called “your bodies many cries for water” by Dr. Batmanghelidj. While he says to add salt to your diet and use as much as you want on your foods, I personally dont do that. Most people do get enough through their diet. I have gotten off my blood pressure meds though just by drinking water and leaving out caffein. You also cant drink alcohol. When I started doing the green smoothies, I found after a couple weeks I was getting leg cramps when I slept. Then I knew I didnt have either enough salt or minerals all together and then I would go get a dime size amount of sea salt and pop it in my mouth and drink a 12 ounce glass of water and go back to bed. No more leg cramps that night and I would add some to my smoothies every other day. Dint know about dulse then (although that seems to effect my thyroid badly). Now im learning if you have hypo or hyper thyroid, there are foods you should be avoiding (which most regular doctors wont tell you). Like spinach, kale, mustard greens, broccoli and cauliflower and some other greens and veggies. Also some fruits like strawberries, peaches and others. Do some research online about it!! Made me mad because I dont like a lot of veggies and it listed the ones I enjoy like spinach, broccoli, and cauliflower are my favorite, and strawberries and peaches are my favorite fruits!!!

thanks for clarifing that about salt,i dont beleive i was harsh to you guys,i look at it like this,i get to discuss or debate.i mean how else do you find the truth? i know one thing when im fully detoxed,i will never put anything bad in my body again.my comfort in life will be to educate people about health,i know if people read the free radical theory it could change the health industries but anyhow,i learn alot off your show there is no doubt about that. but there are somethings i debat about.i agree with you about the guru theory lol that sounded like me lol all i want to do is make sure i know the truth.i’ll keep an open mind and not be so judgeing. thanks again you two for helping people, and happy thanksgiving.

Kev & Annmarie,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO BOTH OF YOU!
I think the question you should have asked was “what was your least favorite show?” I MIGHT be able to give you an answer. LOL!
I haven’t had spirilina in quite some time so I don’t remember the taste and if I actually liked it. I had it in a smoothie.
I haven’t tried chorella. I do plan on tasting them and I am VERY interested in trying the spirilina “crunchie/nuggets”.

I practically envy you the opportutnity to buy a RV and travel around at this time in your life. This is the time for you to do it. It seems sad to me that it is done for awhile, although of course this is the time to be at home with family. I’ve enjoyed all your podcasts, and eagerly await each one. Thanks.

I can’t really link to it, but in the elixir craft mastery course (which you have promoted your self) Daniel Vitalis, seems to disagree with you, as he heavily promotes consuming sea salts – he says something along the lines of different combinations of sea salt and spring water being the best you can do for your health. Now that does sound very bombastic – but then again so do all american health gurus/promoters (accept for you guys actually, and possibly Jon Barron). Anyway he also promotes cacao, which I’m sad to say, you seem to wright about – I seem to get tired whenever I eat large amounts of cacao, or drink black tea
Anyway – thats someone, fairly credible, who disagrees with you

I appreciate so much (personally) that my husband and I got to listen to both of you in person in Santa Rosa. Great talks and info and recipes too. The reason this was so helpful to me is that my husband is in the process of making positive changes in his diet. Listening to your no-nonsense approach to nutrition helped him understand why the change was so beneficial for him. For me, I want to keep him around a very long time because he is the love of my life…
So thank you!!!

Geez, I suppose you’re right re salt. Then what I believe people were reacting against is not you so much. I believe the energy in the comments left were from doctored news & doctors telling people to eat less salt in complete utter ignorance of its balance with hydration & that table salt is literally robbed of its trace minerals. On the scale of supply-side economics, as an aside, the trace minerals in sea or rock salt are no longer trace & of great value. So we just get the byproducts, the waste of industry, toxic & then they talk sick, ugh.

Wow, I was really surprised at the attacks. A while back I had heard or read information about too much salt such as you stated. So I cut way back on my Redmonds RealSalt. After a while I did more research because I was not getting any positive changes and was not feeling to good. I happend to be reading Iodine, Why you need it, Why you can’t live without it by Dr David Brownstein. He mentioned salt and I needed more information so I bought his book called ‘Salt: Your way to health’. Not only did I start back on Redmonds RealSalt but I increased my intake. He has documented scientific information in the book. Just a couple days in and my rings are loose! This is even though my weight is currently at an all time high because my thyroid it currently too high. Now I can not eat seaweed, I smell it and it makes me feel like I have to puke. Why is that since it has all the wonderful nutritional stuff in it? So anyway for me it is apparently what I need and I am sooo happy my rings not only fit but are loose:)
