We are getting ready to move into our new house and want to start up a raw potluck and would like to be able to line up special speakers and play documentaries. if so give me a shout with details!

    “Yes, please, Annemarie, stay!”
I LOVED Lite-Brite. My brother and sisters and I would spend so much time making our own designs. What a lovely reminder! I think revisiting simple, innocent enjoyments of childhood is really great. One thing that I added to my daily walks in the park was swinging on the swing set. I had not done this for so many years. It was so much fun and when I got off (of course I jumped off) I realized what a great workout it is. Go out and swing or fly a kite – give yourself permission to feel like a kid again.?

I never had a lite brite but I always wanted one. I’m getting one for my daughter when she’s older. :)

Thanks for the shilajit explanation. I bought some but don’t know what to do with it or how much to use. I’m going to add it to my smoothies.

Hi! I didn’t have a litebrite, but used to play with my cousins’ when I visited them.

With Christmas coming up, I’m reminded of something I did with my kids in November. We would spend a few hours at Toys R Us so the kids could make their list for Santa :) That way they could look at and hold toys they had seen advertised on TV. Often they realized they didn’t want some of the toys they had been excited about from TV hype.

They received way too many toys from family and friends, so each month I would put a bunch of toys in large bags and set the bags aside for a few months. I’d bring out a bag set aside previously, and the kids would enjoy them as if they were new toys.

I didn’t think LiteBrite was as great as you guys thought it was, but the View Master, now there was a toy that I LOVED! Bambi, Lost In Space, Micky Mouse, Davey and Goliath… It’s like you were right there with them! Maybe before your time (the 60s and 70s) but they’re still in the stores- with Transformers and Sponge Bob.

We’re still here, glad you’re still there too.

You guys should come up to Dahlonega, where I am. There is lots of pretty foliage here as well and it is only about an hour north of you on the interstate. This is the original gold-rush town and the town square is like this Norman Rockwell gone eclectic sort of vibe. Also, this is where the north Georgia mountains start to really become visible in the horizon as well as travellable (there are walking trails, bike routes, etc.).
I grew up in Duluth, GA and I can tell you that Stone Mountain is not the best of Georgia.
I am enjoying your videos, BTW. Thanks for sharing!

I loved my lightbright. I used to turn off all the lights in the basement, pitch a homemade tent out of bed sheets, and make a little fire out of my lightbright. Geez, I think my parents really should have taken my camping ;)

The recipe yesterday WAS fabulous. I am making it this weekend. Question, for Anne-Marie’s skin care line…I was wondering for what age groups it’s best for. I’m 25 and have awesome skin (brag much). But sometimes it feels a little dehydrated. What benefits for someone my age does the face products have that differ from basic coconut or apricot oil or good ole witch hazel?

    Thanks.

This show was hilarious! It felt so good to laugh out loud with you guys-Thanks! Ah yes, the mystical litebrite…fond memories. I second Jason’s request that you come to Maine, you’d be so well-received. My mom lives in the Portland area but I’m personally from Boston. Any chance of a Massachusetts visit, too? Not trying to be greedy but it would be so fabulous to meet/see you speak in person! It might just be the inspiration I need to get out of this motivational rut. Are you guys passing by NC? I live in Carrboro, next to Chapel Hill and just opened a raw juice/ smoothie bar (first and only one in the area!!) 2 weeks ago (Carrboro Raw). Maybe you can even give a public lecture here if you want.

I had a baby in my living room at age 46 in the birthing pool. Now THAT is power. I caught her myself. It is five years later and I look younger than people your age! Hi guys,

Thanks for all you do. Fun show. Thanks also for your information on Shilajit.
Do you have a recommended amount to take?

It has a very intense flavor. Is half a teaspoon a day ok?
Do you guys include Maca regularly in your diet?

    Many blessings to you,

Hope to meet you one day.

Shilajit! Still lovin’ it. I was working with soil microbiology and remediation recently, and I was using humic and fulvic acids. In liquid form. Research suggested that humic acid removes chloramines from the water, something most purifiers and evaporation do not take out. This is bad for the compost tea organisms, and of course our bodies. As much as I can rant about how amazing humic and fulvic acids are as a gardener, my first thought was, “can we eat this stuff?”

And then I learned about Shilajit (from David Wolfe), which has a ton of humic and fulvic acids in it, and suddenly that many more dots were connected. And the taste!

    Thanks, Kevin and Anne Marie!

I saw your show 12 ways of going green. Washing plastic bottles or plastic bags are not healthy,
besides plastic can not be disinfected. When washed these items leak out nasty chemicals. One is better off using glass, ceramic or stainless steel.

    peace you guys,
hope you’re well… i flew into atlanta over stone mountain two weeks ago and it is truly an amazing landmark, rising out of the earth like a giant sleeping tortoise… and the foliage was amazing from the air!

in my experience, in addition to food allergies, bacterial & fungal infections, and other topical irritants, some rashes are caused by one or more of the innumerable viruses that many people host in their bodies, eg. 75+ known strains of herpes 1&2, as well as pityriasis rosea, which begins on the stomach and may spread to sides and back.

Activation and proliferation of a virus may have multiple factors including emotional stress, sugar, or an otherwise weakened immune system, but another interesting factor that relates to cacao is the way that viruses use the non-essential amino acid arginine in their reproductive cycle. Non-essential means that our bodies can synthesize arginine, and when we consume foods high in arginine, such as cacao or other nuts, it competes with the essential, or dietarily necessary, amino acid lysine, which many on the raw or vegan path may be deficient in, and viruses are able to reproduce faster than our bodies can suppress. sometimes simply taking a lysine supplement will suppress viruses and any subsequent rashes.

check out http://www.skinsight.com for more photos and info on rashes than many will ever want to see… and http://www.herpes.com/Nutrition.shtml for a good chart on lysine to arginine ratios in food.

much love and keep up the good work!

    HI there…

My Shilajit arrived in the mail last week and it remains unopened. I forgot why I had to have it. Not a good sign. You saved the day with your explanation and saved me from heading for my notes. It all came back to me when I heard fulvic acid.

Also see that I have Shilajit in a tea formula that Rehmannia makes called the Immortals. I am headed to the kitchen to crank up the kettle and fix a cup of tea.

Also appreciate the information on the rashes. I pretty much know my offenders are citrus fruits. Grapefruits are the least offending. Also berries with exterior seeds, like strawberries and the like.

Believe it or not — the nights have turned cold in San Diego and my skin suffers when the weather turns. Hope to get AnnMarie’s skin care products the week. My skin wants nourishment.

Kev…your sanity and evenness reigns supreme. Moderation works best for me and a willingness to investigate and take small transformational steps. WooHoo!

I love being a renegade. It suits me fine!

Big thanks for the Inner Circle,

Lite Brite was the shizzle for this starseed nizzle. It was so intergalactically entertraining.

WHOA you guys- how siriusly synchronistic was your show today. I just heard about and bought Shilajit TODAY and bought some manuka honey for a rash I have before I knew you guys did a show on BOTH THINGS. Would you please add in an addendum show on rashes, a kind of p.s. that active 15+ manuka honey can cure staff and merca infections/rashes when applied topically? Who knew right?

I LOVED my Lite Brite and my View Master and my Etch-a-Sketch!!!! Those were the days. And Tiddly Winks and Jacks. Can’t remember if I had a favorite image on Lite Bright. Whenever I see a clip from Larry King’s show his background scene behind his desk reminds me of Lite Bright.

I remember the Lite Brite commercials growing up but I never had one.
AnnMarie, are you coming out with a shampoo in your beauty care line? I can’t wait to try your products…currently the budget is very tight but I’m saving my pennies and I think soon I can at least start with the anti-aging ones. Thanks for coming out with this line, I had searched all over for truly natural products but couldn’t and so have only been using coconut oil, which has worked wonderfully, but I think your line will work better. ;)

As for Shilijit. WE LOVE OURS!! Sippin some right now. We have been making a boombastic recipe for a coffee alternative. Try this one for a mocha choca latte. You will love it.

    Almond milk (Warmed)
    Move to blender……then add-
    1 tsp Shilijit Powder
    1 heaping tsp Maca Powder
    2 tsp cracoa powder
    Sweetener of your choice

TIP::: Keep lid off (or the center out) when blending hot stuff.

Unfortunately, I did not have a LiteBrite, but I used to go over to my friend Mark’s house and play with his. I loved it, he ignored it. Oh well! My question of the day for Kevin and Ann Marie is, do you go back and look at posts again from older shows? I know I’ve commented on things a few days (or more) after they’ve aired, and always wondered who might see them, of they just drift into virtual history. Happy belated Birthday, by the way, Ann Marie!

Oh yes, I loved my Light brite! Of course my pegs were always missing, but I usually had enough to make a rainbow back when unicorns and rainbows were all there was! We made sure our 7 year old had one several years ago, too bad those mini dolls were out, or she would have liked it more….
Where and what brand of Stevia do you recommend? We are struggling with an all round sweetener and don’t know where to turn. Can you help? It’s not that we are hooked on sweets, but still crave a little in our tea and smoothies.

I loved my lite brite, I would make butterflies, rainbows and all the girl kind of stuff. My youngest son now uses it and would you believe they have STAR WARS inserts available now!! Times have changed but the classics live on.

I remember ETCH A SKETCH but not with fond memories, something in it made me break out in horrible rashes and welts so bad my parents took me to the Dr. I remember crying for days because my brother and sister could play with it but I couldn’t. Funny how everyones bodies react differently to things, just like I LOVE cocoa but it doesn’t love me.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the Mad Cowboy show, it was GREAT !!! Oh now that has me thinking back to TONY THE TIGER.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane :)

Loved my light brite. My first one had metal plates. I was always ‘afraid’ to use the blank ones to make my own.

I love the way the light shines through the colors. I have one in my game closet now.

Ahh LIGHT BRITE – brings back memories. One day when my son was about 4 years old he was playing with his light brite. I was talking at the door constantly turning around watching him. Somehow he got a screwdriver and opened up the Light Brite and stuck the screwdriver inside of it and POP…. Blew a fuse and All the lights in the house went out! Ironic – Light Brite and then there were NO lights haha. I started running through the house screaming looking for him and I found him underneath the dining room table scared to death. He should have been scared because he was contstantly “trying” to do things like this but I would always catch him and stop him. He is 17 years old now and things have not really changed all that much but now he is getting his license next month. I’M SCARED!! I’ve been scared since I had him. haha Thank God none of my other children scare me. lol

OMG…I loved my lite bright. I used the blank sheets to create my own design. My sister and I had to share it, but I enjoyed it more than she….smile. That’s for the education on rashes and shilajit.(I had never heard of it until today.
I am trying to move to Roswell, Ga and would had been there in time to meet you two if plans had of worked out.
Hope you are enjoying. Take care!
    Thank you for sharing………….:>

I loved litebrite at night in my totally dark bedroom…felt so stealth as a little girlie…like a space explorer. Go Yankees…yeah Bethel! Havent seen a live game in years but I remember the old stadium fondly.

What do you think about protein supplements such as whey, soy, rice, etc. I was really undernourished in that area for years and am getting back in better balance but I dont know which supplement is best utilized in the body to rebuil muscle. I have problems with nuts and tofu…so would love a shake or bar to help get more protein.
