My mentor Dr. Jensen recommended 2 Fruit p/day, 6 Vegetables, 1 Protein, 1 Carb.
Now this wasn't a raw food quota, but the reason was to establish an 80% alkaline diet.

So as long as you have 3x the amount of alkaline vegetables to fruits, your minerals should be in the range of balance.

Also, variety is key.

Thanks Kevin, your shows are Fantastic.!

How can fruit, a food group RICH in minerals, deplete the body of minerals? This is a HUGE misconception.

I read that REFINED sugars deplete the body of minerals (due to their lack of nutrients besides calories).

Fruits are vitamin rich, mineral rich, fiber rich, phytonutrient rich, water rich and are much better for your health than eating complex carbohydrates.

Hey, don't take my word for it. Do the research yourself and you'll see that eating fruits to supply your body with energy makes MORE sense than eating flavorless and inferior grains and starches.

Hi there , the answer to the question of the person working out alot , well I do work out alot , as in weights , walk , ride bike , yoga , cardio etc...I do eat lots of fruit , now the key is to eat very low fats or some days none at all . You can eat a high fruit consumption only if your fat intake is low ..The fat in the diet is the culprit for the overgrowth of candida ..If you were to remove the fats for a few days ,the candida will die down to a balanced level.. Hope this helps ..

Hi Kevin

Just catching up on your videos as have just got back from Turkey where a friend had their birthday party.Wonderful time had by all.

I hate to be the one to tell you this Swine flu is a scam. Our immune systems can deal with this if flu arrives. The shot makes you sick not the other way around. In fact all shots are very very bad for any human being.

Vacines are more poisonous than the illness. Check out www.educate-yourself.org
or www.targetnews.com ( Mike Adams is a health food guru)

Happy reading., no need to put this on your website. You are promoting good health
but should be aware of what is going on.

Thanks for the show! Raw vegans need this info! Indeed, the work of dental pioneer Weston A. Price determined that the health of bones and teeth is dependent on carefully balanced blood sugar. Eating a lot of fruit obviously creates blood sugar swings.

According to Cure Tooth Decay: Heal and Prevent Cavities with Nutrition, Dr. Melvin Page, DDS and anthropologist Leon Abrams believe that it takes just a 25% imbalance of body chemistry to cause teeth to decay. After 30 years of research and 40,000 blood tests, Dr. Page discovered that a disturbance in the ratio of calcium to phosphorus in the blood causes tooth decay and gum disease. Most importantly, they found that a ratio of 8.75mg of calcium to 3.5mg of phosphorus per 100cc of blood, with normal blood sugar levels of 85mg per 100cc of blood creates immunity to tooth decay. When this ratio deviated or when blood sugar levels grew too high or low, they found that minerals were withdrawn from the dentin and bone to compensate, resulting in tooth decay.

Vegans, especially fruitarians, notoriously have dental problems. And, we have known for decades that dental problems are not caused by acids, food or bacteria on the teeth per se, but rather by blood sugar imbalances, lack of fat soluble vitamins (A,D, E and K) and resulting mineral deficiencies that eating a lot of sweet foods (like fruit) causes. Without fat soluble vitamins, you can't use the minerals you eat. And without normal blood sugar, you can't keep the minerals you've absorbed.

Raw vegans often get plenty of minerals, but without enough Vitamins A, D, E and K, (especially D), you just pee most of them out. Raw vegans, especially low-fat raw vegans, often do not get enough fat soluble vitamins. Vegans should have their Vitamin D levels checked because sunshine is not always enough depending on your genetics, your geographical latitude, the time of year, and the type of skin pigment you have. Supplementation might be necessary. Finally, keeping steady, even blood sugar is the final key to the optimal mineral levels puzzle, and the secret to healthy teeth.

I highly recommend Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel. More info on this issue on my blog http://www.smallfootprintfamily.com/?p=711

Thanks for your message today. It seems to encourage living a well-balanced life. I believe when we listen to our bodies, they will tell us what is good and what is not good for us as individuals. Why bloat oneself with a what makes us feel rotten? It seems to mean we are becoming "rotten" from the inside out. "Explosive" was the word Kevin used. Good one.

Omega-3s (essential fatty acids) can be found in flax and hemp seeds, walnuts, avocados, first pressed, extra virgin olive oil; blue berries, goji berries are some yummy helps, When I eliminate all dairy, greasy foods and all white, processed foods, I'm one happy camper. A very colorful platter help me feel, heh heh....colorful and bright, from the inside out!
