hello: I think you are right with your branding it is changing the health world one by one. eventually their will be a whirlwind of change, right now I think you are doing the right thing to keep us "renegades" going high raw. personally, i am having a hard time in the transition because everywhere I go there is not one vegetable to be seen. unless milky coleslaw is one. I travelled over the weekend and for the first time I took pre-made jugs of 3 different kinds of green juices. I got questions, some tasted and some laughed that it looked like I was spitting tobacco juice into my cup. I am learning I am going to have to eat raw by myself at home and then go out and when people see the difference in me e.g weight loss and the shine and energy that comes with going raw, I think more people will be interested. just like with kids, friends too want to see example and change. martha

I have the same problem as another reader, whenever I enter my name and e-mail address, the site rejects my e-mail address and I now receive two copies of all the messages sent out. Is that becaue I have a Canadian e-mail address? Would love to download and read the book.

I think the question about sensitivity may have been related more to what Matt Monarch is talking about, how when you get more and more pure in body and mind, you become more and more dangerously sensitive to cigarette smoke, msg, cooked food, hospital medication, radiation, etc.

Personally, I hope it's not true - or that it depends on the individual. I need to be prepared at all times to be exposed to any of those things.

Kevin,

I downloaded the book - it is great! What I love most is how non dogmatic and sensible it is. I believe people will be more receptive to it than some books on raw food - the truth is you can not win anyone by pounding the Bible onto their heads! So keep up good work! I am trying to spread a word to my coworkers and I am hoping others will do likewise.
I agree with the comment that we have to be good models of health and fitness..I just talked to one of my contractors who said that he ate at a raw food restaurant and it was the worst meal of his life:( My response? I said - it is a personal choice and I personally choose to invest into my health. One of the reasons - who can affort medical care in this country? (no offense intended to anyone)...It looked like he was able to understand that, but it will ultimately be his choice.
So yes, let us all lead by example and if we can affect one person positively, we have already accompished a lot.
Thanks Kevin!

Kevin
I am hesitant to talk much beyond telling people I am experimenting with raw foods to add variety to the table. If they pursue the conversation, I explain more fully. (My husband is decidedly against giving up his SAD)
Food choices seem to be like religion: it is a very personal experience. Once you have "seen the light" you want to tell the world how it changed your life. How annoying is that!!
People who are sick (I am a senior, all my friends have something) associate my health with luck, not diet. One said, "I'm not going to change anything; just give me a pill." (his insurance covers pills) SADly, that is the prevalent American attitude.
So I just model good health and promote healthy eating when asked.

Kevin,

Here are some ideas for getting the word out about your book:

Send free copies of the book to Oprah and all the other TV talk show hosts, and also radio hosts, especially alternative radio shows. Who knows, you might just end up getting invited to appear on the show.

Also, send copies to people who host raw food potlucks, and ask them to have the book out when a potluck is happening. It could be a good conversation piece.

You could find out if raw food restaurants, such as Cafe Gratitude, would like copies to have on hand for their customers to read while waiting for their meals.

It could also make a good gift for friends and family members, a non-confrontational way of introducing them to the idea of eating more raw foods.

I think it is really awesome of you to give away so many ebooks, but you will also need to give away some hard copies of the book in order to get some publicity happening.

And send press releases along with the book to all the newspapers that have a book review section. Let's get it reviewed by the New York Times!

Hi Kevin,

I'm just reading your book now. Since I'm from Croatia, only thing I can offer you is to translate your book so it becomes understandable to people from ex Yugoslavia.

Let me know what you think.

Have a nice day
