We’re BACK!

Today’s show is just the first of 4-5 that talk about our trip and how you can benefit from what we’ve learned in Honduras…

Enjoy!

The place we stayed at is called “Casa Verde” (The Green House) and is owned by the lovely Wendy Green. We encourage you to check out her site and see if it’s a place that you may be interested in learning more about. We’ll be showing more of her property and what you can do there as next week unfolds! I know I’m very lucky to live right a few steps from the beach, and that’s where I recharge myself every day.

What a great show. Just watching it made me want to relax!

I like to go to Lake Tahoe to revive myself. The smell of the trees, the sound of the wind thru the branches, the beautiful lake.

    Where to be to relax?
For example, on the beach, alone, and to have my brain swiched off, which is hard to do.

Yay, welcome back!! Missed your posts, but love that you’ve taken time to recharge and relax a bit. Anywhere in the wilderness with a bit of sunshine really does it for me…. have never been to as warm a climate as Honduras….. maybe in the future though!

I’m actually leaving this weekend for a 3 week ‘interruption’ vacation at Hippocrates Health Institute. Yahoo!! I decided in a very big way(my wallet talking) to put my health first and change up my roller coaster pattern of eating for health then S.A.D. diet back and forth, over and over. I can’t wait!

    Kevin –
I really don’t have much of an opportunity to get away right now. The video was a great reminder that I need to MAKE the time to find a place for relaxation & personal renwal. Just watching the video of Annmarie in the lush scenery toward the end of today’s episode was relaxing in itself. I ESPECIALLY enjoyed hearing you speak in a more relaxed tone and not be frantically yelling at the camera like you usually do. And I DEFINATELY would hope that you would include MORE of the type of music you used during that last segment. Maybe replace your Oriental sounding theme with that piece or something similar. To be honest, for several months now, every day when I watch your shows, I turn the sound OFF until after your introduction, and then stop the video before your theme music starts up again at the show’s end. Others may not agree with me, but I tune in for the great information that you & Annmarie provide, yet I prefer to avoid the shockingly loud (even stressful)”packaging” your fine material comes wrapped up in. Don’t misunderstand me, your current theme music does have a place, but I don’t think it fits with your show.
Thank you for keeping me informed and interested. Looking forward to viewing & learning more from you & your wife.

    Hi Kevin & Annmarie!
    What a beautiful place!

Here in Arizona there are many places to go to recharge and unwind. In town I like to go the mountains… like Camelback Mountain and South Mountain for Metropolitan Phoenix. The white Tanks are nice on the way out of town. The Superstition Mountains.
Out side of Phoenix there is beautiful Sedona, Cotton wood, Jerome, Flagstaff, Tucson, Prescott Valley, The rim of the Grand Canyon. The White mountains, and Payson AZ. Christopher Creek and Kohls ranch up by Payson. Patagonia AZ (Location of the Tree Of Life retreat) and Eden Hot Springs AZ. WOW there are many places close to home and right here in AZ! I just need to make it a point to get out there on a regular basis.

That’s a great idea for the next year…I am going to relax & recharge at least once a month if not more.

    Great show!
    Love, Light, & Peace,
    Cheryl : )

I too enjoyed your show today. It reminded me of how much my husband relax whenever we visit our 21 acre getaway in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas on the Mulberry River. We have been talking of building a cabin for years but the cares of the world always get in the way. I say we need to make that a priority so we can go there and spend the weekend and leave the world behind. Thanks for reminding me.

Now…I hate to say this but I agree with Steve about the intro gong and music and frantic beginning to your show. Maybe it’s time to take a poll to see how many people want you to change it. That gong just goes all through me so I will follow Steve’s example and turn the sound down till the good stuff starts. But thanks for all you and Annmarie do for us. It is much appreciated.

I live in South Africa, and I’m so excited because the couple who have done a lot of work introducing the raw food lifestyle and bringing us superfoods locally have announced that they will be hosting our first raw food retreat this year! Of course, I’ll definitely be there! We have a long way to go compared to you guys in the States, but its exciting to be part of the growing phenomenon here! Love the show! :)

So nice of you to take the time from your own relaxation to share your trip with us. I’m new to this blog (about a month – found you googling “how to sprout beans” and there was Anne Marie doing a demo!! lol) I think you’re a riot and want to that you for your dedication to health. I’m pretty much health freak as well.

Now to your question – Umm… I would love to go back to my college town, New Paltz, NY and hike for a few days. I have magical memories of the Shawangunk mountains and always said that my wish would be to be well enough to come back every decade to hike the carriage trail, climb through the lemon squeeze and up to the top of Sky Top tower. I’ve been back once. Barring a trip there I have time to myself each day to do yoga in front of my fireplace and that really rejuvenates me and calms my mind. Thanks for asking!!!
Here’s a link to learn more about the “Gunks” Maybe the Kale Whale will want to go there too!! http://www.nature.org/wherewework/northamerica/states/newyork/preserves/art12373.html

I LOVE this “Calm Kevin.” Great to see you so relaxed, man. Keep it up. Absolutely wonderful.

To your question? I go for hikes to interrupt my pattern. Or I go visit the folks in the Interior. Otherwise? I would go to Hawaii.

    Great show, as always Kevin!

When we want a recharge – there’s one place that always does it for us. Port Townsend, WA on the NE corner of the Olympic Peninsula, where the Strait of Juan de Fuca makes the southern turn into Puget Sound.

Just boarding that ferry and heading up Puget Sound, the stress and tension starts to melt away.

That’s how the Olympic Mountains got their name because they said, “Surely this must be the Home of the Gods”. I don’t think it gets more beautiful than The Olympics and the Olympic Peninsula.

Water is always a great re-charger for us.

I totally agree with the first comment of Steve about music and yelling, it makes me more stressful. Relaxing music would be more enjoyable at the end of the stressful day.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on relaxation with us. I’m glad you and Annmarie have had the opportunity to chill out and relax a bit. You guys works so hard bringing us all that wonderful health info and inspiration that you deserve some down time.

I love to go to the ocean when I need to realx. Nothing soothes my soul more than water and soft beach sand and now that we live 20 minutes away from a beach I’ll be spending a lot more time there.

Just keep being yourself and don’t change your music – I love it! It always makes me smile.

    Come back refreshed and renewed.

    Beautiful stuff, Kevin.

When I need to de-stress and get out in the sunshine, I can walk a couple of blocks to the Mississippi River levee. I don’t have a car, but I can find relaxation up on that levee. I can take a long walk, or find someplace to sit. I also enjoy sitting by the huge fountain that is front of the hospital, also within walking distance. The sound of the water is very soothing, and I like smelling the spray. You can find places to relax in your own neighborhood!

OH MY!!!! Steve, thank you for saying it perfectly what I have said in other ways.I never said it better than that.Yes yes yes.I TOO mute the opening of the show.It is loud, way too intense to prepare me for what is ahead and it disturbs my energy cellularly!!!! Thats right.I have a rush hour traffic ride after a long day of work and get home, put the show on,and my phyche(spell?) is once again agitated and overstimulated.
I love Matts Tv show..where Angela sings. That is so calming and soothing like a fine appetizer.
Kevin and Anne Marie…..phenomenal show and provisions for all of us.One step away from perfect for me….hahahaa..I know if enough people feel this way about the intro, you will align it more with your mission.Love love love sent your way.

Last time we got away, 2005, was to the beach in Melbourne, Florida. It was in the early fall and we had the beach to ourselves. It was still warm enough to wade in the surf, and I snuck out each morning and went down to the beach to watch the sunrise – that was major balm for the soul.
When I was 19-22 I lived near Seattle, which is another favorite place, and spend nearly ever non-working day tramping/camping in the Cascade Mountains. Later on, we lived in Colorado and I used to go visit my mother in Wyoming for a few weeks here and there – inevitably we ended up in the Big Horn Mountains playing in the woods.
I live in a small town in Texas now and I really miss having access to remote places with few people and lots of trees.

Great show Kevin, it looks like a great place to be. I love the mountains and water. We’ve had some great getaways in Tenn. but we live in Southwest Florida and I am about a 20 min. walk away from one of the nicest beaches in America. I am very lucky.

A trip to Gaza, Iraq or Afghanistan to work with some human rights group would help me get some real perspective on how people live. An opportunity to share time with people in one of our occupied countries could shed some light on our living conditions and why we have all that we have. I imagine a first hand experience would be a superior motivator and an opportunity to move beyond some of our illusions.

Wow Kevin! You seemed REALLY relaxed. I am happy you had a week of letting go of everyday routine.
I really love going out in nature, but the most amazing way for me to reconnect with God or the Universal source is just to go inside of myself, usually during my yoga practice. I find it utterly amazing the shift that can occur and as long as I have my yoga mat, I don’t really require anything else (like a picked up house for example). After I slip into myself, surrounding matters very little to me.

Where to go……to the water. A cruise would be perfect… no food preparation, no cleaning, no phone, just relaxing in the sun, watching the sunrise and sunset over the water. A trip to a Pacific beach (Malibu, preferably) would do, too.
Thank you so much for sharing those that wonderful video of your vacation. Enjoy!!

Hey Kevin and Anne Marie….happy to have you both back. Funny my mind must have known your video today would be coming out. I went cross country skiing 10 minutes from my house this morning…it’s on a golf course that get’s groomed…while I am a full time student and almost 40 so the opportunity to exercise has not been plentiful…I just felt like here I am in nature and smelling in all this wonderful fresh air…how lucky am I:) Hope you both loved your time away you deserved it!

I live in Northern Colorado where mountains surround me so I can just walk out my door and head towards them which I happened to do today because it was sunny and not too cold. It happened to be pretty quite with no traffic noise which was nice and relaxing. I feel lucky to be able to look out at the Flat Tops Mountains and not be in a hustle bustle city.

I must agree with Steve from Austin. I like your great information and all the wonderful sharing you do at Renegade Health, but I always turn down the opening and closing music. It’s just not an enjoyable sound to my Western hemisphere ears, I guess. I also enjoy the more relaxed countenance and voice you had in this episode.

Welcome back, and it looks beautiful there so will be going to check out Wendy’s site soon.

To relax in warmer weather it is a short walk to the beach, or after school to the pond out back. I’ve always been relaxed around water, but otherwise out in nature is good too. At the moment I’ve been doing some major cleaning out of clutter, and while not escaping anywhere it is actually calming.

A pleasant drive headed east to the Columbia River Gorge to Bonneville Hotsprings (near Bonneville Dam), is where I like to go. WA State Route 14 winds around basaltic walls that tower over the Columbia River Gorge. The views from Cape Horn are breathtaking. If you go Monday thru Thursday, a mineral bath (without wrap)is $12. Its tranquil, aromatic, and private. The clawfoot, slant back tubs are so comfortable. Chamomile or other herbs can be added to the bath. Spa fee includes bath, terrycloth robe, slippers, lockers, mineral water, grapes and herbal tea. There is something special about the water and environment there. Its relaxing, and your skin will be so soft after a 30 min. soak. The inner courtyard sounds of gurgling and falling waters, where you can tan out doors. Its my place of solace.

Regarding the Zapper show. I’v used it for awhile, but didn’t notice alot until I put it around my waist, stomach, and thighs. Where ever I put the copper things I would have a little biting sting and a little blister would come up within 20 minutes. This I didn’t mind, but the little blisters did scar for about a year. So,,caution for swimsuit season. My expert friend told me it pushes out parasites, which i never saw, but also pushes out candida, which seems very likely. Would love to know if anyone else has had this response. Thanks
