A Mexican Raw Food Celebration – An Episode from the Archives

Hands down, my favorite show…

We haven’t dressed up in ethnic gear since, because this episode was so good. :-)

Take a look…

Your question of the day: (We’ll keep it the same!) What ethnic gear should we get in the future?

Click here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and leave your comment now!

Live Awesome!
Kev

PS. The reason we’re running re-runs is because we’re out of the country. Don’t worry, we’ll be back with a fresh new show on Friday!

    I appr€ciat€ this vid€o. A sup€r sugg€stion for an incr€dibl€ m€al, if you can pull this off in a raw h€alth kind of way, is “gourm€t sabzi” a P€rsian dish. Th€r€ ar€ a f€w oth€r P€rsian dish€s that m€rit your att€ntion as w€ll, on€ with €gg plant… but I don’t know th€ nam€s. Also, wh€n you and your b€autiful wif€ do th€s€ vid€os, could you also list th€ ingr€di€nts for us dummi€s, as it’s som€tim€s hard to und€rstand what you say, som€ ingr€di€nts ar€ said v€ry quickly. Thanks so kindly, both of you!

My granddaughter, Diamond, thinks it would be nice if you dress up in costumes from India. She says Annmarie should wear the bellydancing outfit and so should Kevin. She wants him to wear a colorful bra top and skirt like we wear to dance at the gym. That would really be funny. You guys always crack us up anyway. Thanks for the laughs!

How about German/Bavarian raw fare with lederhosen/suspenders and a dirndl dress? Also Swedish raw cuisine with accompanying attire?

    Bitter?(pronounced “bitt-ah”) Danke!

Looks great! I’m looking forward to the recipe! This means that if I soak brown rice, I don’t need to cook it, and it has bio-available nutrition?! I’d love to learn more about this. How long do I need to soak it after it is pulsed?

    thanks!
    pura vida,

    I am Polish.
    How about making Kapusta
or cabbage soup! There are many ways to make it but is it
possible to make it raw? The
    cooked variety has shredded
    cabbage, sauerkraut, mashed
    potatoes and water. Thanks
    and Blessings! Steve

I’m an Aussie, So what about the Aussie Pie. It is usually a meat pie but something vegan and raw would be really good. You could wear a hat with cork tops hanging on string around the rim and about an inch or so apart. This used to be worn to keep off the flies.

I found the recipes for this show in the archives (I wanted them too :-) ) – - so thought I would share them here:

    Here are the recipes:

    Raw Mole Sauce

(Adapted from Tofu666… great vegan dishes, plus raw food recipes on Wednesday! Click here to visit the site!)

    1 Handful of Fresh Cilantro
    1 Red Bell Pepper
    1 Jalapeño
    1 Tsp. Agave Nectar
    1 Pinch of Sea Salt

Grind all the dry ingredients in a coffee grinder, then add the peppers and agave and puree in the Vitamix.

    Raw Walnut Meat

3 Cups Walnuts (Soak for 1 hour)
    1 Tsp. Cumin
    1 Tsp. Coriander
    1/3 Cup Nama Shoyu

Put ingredients in the food processor for a minute or so.

    Raw Salsa

    Cayenne to Taste
    Sea Salt to Taste

Put the rice in a food processor before you soak it and pulse 10-15 times to break it up. Soak for 2 days or until soft to taste. Make sure you wash frequently.

    Finally… the Raw Burrito

    Collard Greens
    Lettuce
    Cilantro
    Shaved Carrots

Blanch the collards, and cut up the lettuce, cilantro and avocado. Fill ‘em up with all the good stuff above and drizzle some mole sauce on top!

Hi Kevin and Annmarie, I love your shows, especially when you prepare the recipes. You always have so much fun! Perhaps you could do Indian next time!

I’d just like to let you know that I went to an amazing weekend seminar in London earlier this month, run by Peter Pure, a raw food chef and natural health educator. He was so knowledgeable and inspiring. Maybe you could contact him for a telephone interview? I’m sure your American audiences would love him! This is his website address: http://www.hpbreakthrough.com/

Thanks again for your great shows!
