A Quick After Thanksgiving Fat Buring Workout – The Renegade Health Show Episode #193

I know none of you over ate yesterday… ;-)

Well if you did and even if you didn’t, I think we’re all a little interested in burning some fat after the holidays, right?

This is a great, quick outdoor workout that you can do in a parking lot or on a tennis court.

Take a look now…

Your question of the day: Where in your neighborhood can you do this workout?

Click here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and leave your comment now!

Here’s that heart rate equation I was talking about…

Maximum Heart Rate = 205.8 ? (0.685 × age)

You want to make sure it’s not any higher than the number that you come up with unless you’re under supervised training!

Live Awesome!
Kevin

I know an awesome place to do this stuff. I already like to hike to the top of Red Hill (http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/2665856.jpg) which is just two blocks from my house. At the top there is a wide open area at the end of the trail that would be perfect for doing these exercises without drawing too much unwanted interest. (I like to choose carefully where I do anything unusual because otherwise I end up with young men with too much time on their hands harassing me and yelling uncomfortable things at me. The curse of a college town?)

I could do that in my backyard if I was that motivated, I remember the suicide runs back and forth(going sideways alternating legs).

It’s raining here, so I’ve just tried the exercises in my home. They seem so easy to do when watching you, but you were right! My heart started beating really fast! Great workout! Thanks!

We have a lovely park right next to the river less than a mile from our house…and they have nice basketball & tennis courts – I will do it there! :-)

I’m so glad you showed these exercises! I used to love these when I was a teenager competing in tennis! Unfortunately there is snow on the ground here in Colorado so I’ll have to try to attempt this either when I travel somewhere warmer or wait till Spring!

      Thanks Kevin and Ann Marie!

      Hi Kids,

I just made those Kale Chips last night…….all I can say is WOW….AWESOME- RAWSOME…….they are soooo good and sooo beautiful. I am taking a giant bowlful to a potluck tomorrow. (I added a couple of dates to the recipe to take the edge off the vinegar, and blended a big handful of soaked, dehydrated sunflower and pumpkin seeds to the “sauce”) Thank you, thank you…you two are great. Honestly, you are providing so much information, I can’t even keep up!

What no snow? How come you can be OUTSIDE doing this? We’re covered! So my basement is plenty big enough for this exercise!

I’m not really in a neighborhood, but I have 20 acres and two sons. THATS A WORKOUT.

Hey that is great! AnneMarie, you looked like you were having fun! I know I will be!!! :)

Well, we can do that in our backyard too; the McDonald’s Parking Lot, that is. Maybe the employees on their break will join us!

As for those of you in the Snow, Hel, the snow just makes all the more fun! Go for it. Falling in the snow makes me laugh. Laughing is good exercise too, especially if it’s one of those good belly laughs, like you just switched the hot water to cold while your husband is in the shower!

hey kevin,Annmarie!!!! This question is alitttle off the exercise subject , but I did do it and it made me feel soooo much better. The question is ive been raw 100% on and off for the last five years. Im mostly good and then around the holidays, birthday, whatever day, I tend to fall off the wagon with raw sheep cheese, wine, and even raw or cooked chocolate, that just sets me up for more cravings, the question is why do I keep doing this to my self, any tips?????? much appreciated, Diane in huntington.
