This week has been so busy, I almost forgot to get in some workouts…
Yep, it happens to the best of us!
So today, I decided that I’d have you work out with me at home while I show you what I do and the simple exercise equipment that I use when I’m in a time crunch!
Take a look now…
Your question of the day: What is your “go-to” piece of exercise equipment when you’re in a time crunch?

Hi Kevin! I have to tell you that every weekday I come home from University and watch your show for a boost of energy and positivity. Thank you to you and Anne Marie!
When I get busy, it is all about getting on my yoga mat. It only takes 10-20 minutes to do some Tibetan Rites and I am set for a night of studying.

I do alot of high intensity circuit trainings 5 times a week, usually under 20 minutes each — in addition to a couple of core strength training sessions (45 mins).
100 burpees is the quickest and most effective workout I do, and it is entirely bodyweight. Try it out, it is killer.

I loved the hanging captain’s chair move – awesome!
I use my 20-pound dumbbells like you use your handheld bar-bell set – for bicep curls, overhead presses, bent-over rows, squats, deadlifts, clean & jerks, kickbacks or french press for triceps – my push-up bars, a window ledge for dips, & the swiss ball for crunches for a quick workout at home.
I’m doing Sara Kooperman’s Sara City Workout Midwest MANIA this weekend & really loving the Les Mills BodyCombat® – too bad it’s so $$ to get certified & get the club on board. I’m still Tae Bo® certified – also $$ to recert every year with Billy Blanks® in Cali.
I’ll post again if I learn any cool new ideas for quick home workouts during tomorrow’s sessions – which start in…..7 hours……g’nite!

i like to do a lot of body weight exercises, but if i only have like 5 minutes of working out. i will bust out as many hindu squats as possible. Rest for a minute and do as many as possible again until muscle failure (maintaining proper form for safety). If I have 20-30 min, i like using my resistance band set i bought off ebay. i can get a great upper body work out using those.

Great show!
I have some free weights sitting around my place… and now I am going to use them!!!
I like to use my rebounder for excercising and for running, especially when it’s snowing outside!
I like to use the excercise ball as well!
How do you install the pull up bar?

Great show Kevin. My favourite piece of equipment for a quick workout is my rebounder, or otherwise just bodyweight exercises.

Hi Kevin
What’s your view on Nutrigenomics (n. the study of food and diet and how each interacts with specific genes to increase the risk of certain diseases.) The website below claims to be able to test your genes to see what foods are most suitable for you according to how the food reacts with specific genes. Is it a con or something legitimate. If it work, it would certainly explain why some people thrive on certain foods while others don’t.

I don’t have a go to exercise equipment other than a workout video, but I would like to purchase a medicine ball and pullup bar. For weights I have Billy Blanks resistance bands which I really like. Would like to hear about some good intense videos to work out to for the winter months coming up! Snow is already predicted here in Colorado!

Hey, thanx for the show!
I use my bodyweight (still too much ;-D), some dumbbels and a stability ball. I use my big dinertable as a starter for the pull ups…

Take care!

Hey Kevin,
When in a crunch, there’s nothing like knowing some cool bodyweight exercises. I also like to have a clubbell or two whenever I need to train – they are awesome for getting a killer workout in minimum time, and they’re portable!
Have an awesome week, brother!

I have a whole variety of fast workouts. One is the TRX. A full body circuit can take 10mins. Also the deck of cards workout. Where each card represents an exercise and you do the same amount of reps as the number on the card. Tabatas are great. Vehicle pushing, hill sprints, also combat conditioning style workouts. Sometimes I’ll just do high rep snatches with a dumbbell for 5 min. All in all it’s rare that I miss a workout based on time constraints.
