Today, I was at Ryan Lee’s fitness bootcamp meeting some of the sharpest minds in fitness…
I spoke about continuing education the yesterday and I stand by it. There’s so much power in learning from others.
I told a few of the guys I was hanging out with that I wanted to do a show with their top fitness tips, and they–on the spot–gave me some of their best stuff.
I think you’ll like what they came up with… I also think you’ll like Scott Tousignant’s creative emergency sprinkler workout as well…
Take a watch “Fri-guys”…
Your question of the day: What inspires you to keep working out… and if you don’t what could inspire you?

Here are the websites these guys mentioned for you to check out…

love the show thanks for sharing. my main work out is yoga, so i would say my motivation for doing it would be de-stressing. it reminds me to slow down and touch ground sometimes… also the stretching is a bonus, since i stand on my feet a day for my job.
thanks kevin

What inspires me? Feeling my best and doing a little better every time.
I love your fearlessness on these videos.
Would you have recommended the bootcamp for a beginner – someone that wants to get started in the fitness field? OR was it beyond that level?

Mountain biking. As I like the challenges of taking on the outdoors, the thrills which make me feel alive, the at times quiet / solitude as I experience nature, and having to constantly react and balance at other times just to stay on. And learning new skills. Just being in the outdoors. I love being punished from 4 hour ride in the mountains, an adventure, esp. on a new route.

great show this week – they really are real people and not just website gugu’s. I’m looking for the thing to get me motivated. I tried working out at home, I allow myself to get distracted. I just joined my local gym and hope having to pay each month will motivate me. After a heart attack and kidney cancer I need something/someone to push me. I’m going to give it my best shot – 21 days to form a habit – lets see where I am on October 11th.

I am 46 and have been exercising since I was 13. I had great role models in my parents who were runners. Over the years weight loss and fitness were what motivated me, now after having 7 children and getting older, the thing that motivates me is feeling good with fitness 2nd. I NEED to workout to have energy and feel good anymore. I do really enjoy moving my body and feeling it getting stronger. It is something I will do for the rest of my life!!

HI KEVIN!
THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR KEEPING ME MOTIVATED!!!!
I HAVE 2 QUESTIONS:
1. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALFALFA SPROUTS AND WHY DO SOME RAW PEOPLE SAY DONT SPROUT THEM? (i sprout a variety, and some alfalfa is in my mix.)
2. WHAT IS WRONG WITH BRAGG’S AMINO ACIDS? I KNOW THEY ARE NOT RAW, BUT IS THERE ANY OTHER PROBLEM? I GUESS I SHOULD EMAIL NOMI AND ASK HER – IF YOU REMEMBER SHE COMMENTED DURING YOUR INTERVIEW WITH HER THAT BRAGGS WAS “A BAD PRODUCT”.
AND, IF YOU CANNOT EAT WHEAT, SO YOU CANNOT HAVE NAMA SHOYU, IS BRAGG’S YOUR NEXT BEST CHOICE?
3. AND SINCE WE ARE DISCUSSING A BRAGG PRODUCT – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BRAGG’S APPLE CIDER VINEGAR?
THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!
AND O PS:
YOU DO NOTTTTT NEED TO BULK UP OR GET BIGGER! YOU LOOK BETTER THAN THOSE GUYS! YOU AND ANN MARIE ARE GORGEOUS! DONT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU INTO THINKIN’ YOU NEED TO BE LIKE THEM! AND I PERSONALLY THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES AND WORKOUTS. THEY ARE JUST WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED. IT IS LIBERATING NOT TO HAVE TO USE EQUIPMENT!
YOU AND ANNEMARIE ARE THE BEST!

Fitness motivation for me, in my 2nd half-century, is weight and body fat control, energy and functional fitness (good balance, flexibility, strength and muscle mass to easily accomplish everyday tasks and participate in sports that I enjoy)and successful aging and longevity. It also helps to have an external motivator like Annmarie!

what inspires me to keep working out is that I feel so much better. I have more energy, my mind seems to be clearer, i am more relaxed and I love the rush of pushing myself when something is difficult like pushups but I need someone there to push me. Usually it’s a video or it can be competitive with another person.

I just come back from a hill run. I really did not feel like doing it so I needed to motivate myself. I just wanted to feel the benefits that come afterwards like feeling great, buil up my strenght and stamina. Also not allow my mind to give me excuses when conditions are not perfect like the weather or I am tired. I just do it and I never regretted afterwards from doing a workout but I do when I miss. So it says it all.
thanks Kevin and Anne=Marie. You two are great motivation for me in many areas.

Initially, I just wanted to lose my gut. But now it’s a combination of reasons – much less expensive and more effective than a shrink for therapy, knowing you’re doing something healthy for your present and your future, for your mind and your body, build muscle & lean body mass, reduce fat, rid body of toxins thru sweat, improve metabolic functions, socializing & meeting like-minded people, sense of accomplishment, sense of competitiveness, if often only with yourself, motivate others, keep me off the streets (just kidding), but seriously, working in fitness into my daily schedule keeps me from being a couch potato, which in turn reduces depression, lonliness, feelings of inadequacy, improves self-esteem, encourages a positive outlook – oh, and improves your body image, too!

Hey Kev,
Great stuff and it was awesome seeing you, Scott, Josh, Troy and all my ohter Fitness Pro buddies at Ryan Lee’s Bootcamp.
You guys gave some great tips in this short video.
One thing I would add is to fit in mini-workouts throughout the day to build muscle.
I work at an office and keep a kettlebell and some weights right in my office and periodically throughout the day I will just get out of my chair, and bust out a small set of kettlebell clean and presses or jerks.
These short little mini workouts pack a punch and add up to some great results…
Train with purpose,

Hey Kevin,
Very cool to meet you and great video;)! I am excited to to read up more on your program, I think what you are promoting is far underrated for increasing your health and appearance!
In an ever increasingly stressful world I think exercise becomes even more vital. The less we move, the more we stress, the more our quality of life seems to go down.
I think promoting outdoor workouts is great, they can be simple, convenient, and fun!! The best form of exercise is truly the one you enjoy and will remain consistent. It is often my best way to keep my sanity!
Look forward to seeing more!!

Kevin,
Great seeing you again at another Ryan Lee event. You forgot to show everyone the beautiful car with all the outdoor bootcamp writing on it in the beginning of video
For those reading, Scott and Josh have some great programs. If your readers haven’t picked up Josh’s sandbags, I recommend they do. They are an amazing piece of equipment.
To answer your question, what inspires me to keep working out is the beauty of movement. Being an athlete all my life, I enjoy constantly moving around, doing obstacle courses, using basic to advanced agility drills, and recreating my youth. I think we take for granted our body as a multi-dimensional tool. My tip for your readers would be to try something new. Learn a new movement and experiment with your body. If they would like to learn athletic drills that anyone can do they can visit my blog at http://www.sportcardiointervals.com. Or if they need some inspiration they can visit b2finc.com/blog.
Thanks for all the great content on going raw. I am not ready to jump in with two feet, but slowly I am incorporating pieces of that lifestyle into mine. I look forward to learning from your episodes and interviews.
See you soon!
