This show is fun…
We originally were going to show you some yucca plants from our hike, but when I came back to check my facts, I realized that I had identified a cousin of the plant!
So we decided to show you a cool product that we don’t have in the northeast and let you in on a special conversation Annmarie and I had with my grandfather about his secret to longevity. (Who, by the way, is a prolific political blogger, he’s been mentioned on Sean Hannity’s show!)
He still mows the lawn, walks up the stairs, goes to Walmart everyday and spends hours blogging on the computer!
Take a look now…
Your question of the day: Would you walk across Devil’s Bridge?

What a great episode!! The interview with your Grandpa was wonderful – there is so much to honor and learn from his generation.
. Have a great rest of the week – Connecticut misses you tho
…Dede
Wow – you found an Arizona that I didn’t find when I briefly lived there – absolutely gorgeous…nope – I’m a chicken for walking over bridges – - but I’m working on that.
So- – what was the reaction of the other passengers on the plane? – who knows – you 2 might end up on somebody elses’ blog as “things people do on long plane rides”

Outstanding show. Excellent advice from your grandfather. Like anything in this world worth having, living a long, full life requires working hard & wanting it. The bridge looks like fun – I’d go.

I have walked across The Bridge…many, many, many years ago.
Enjoy your stay in beautiful AZ…wish I could be in Sedona with everyone.
FYI, it’s pronounced yuck-a.

“And I love donuts” ROFL He’s adorable!!
I love that you didn’t keep it from us that you made a mistake in identifying the yuka. You are awesome, Kevin!
I’m thinking about taking all Thursday to go hiking. I need to pick up some raw snacks, first (that walnut, pecan, ginger granola sounds yummy). I sent a DM to you…wondering if you found any of the vortex locations. If so, did you feel like there was anything to all the hype about them? If I find the Devil’s Bridge, I’ll try to cross it!
That corn looked like a good idea. I already did my shopping, though.
See you soon!
Lots of love to both of you,
Wendi

Great Show ! I love Grandpa ! Maybe the secret of his longevity lies in the fact that he does everything in moderation and when he grew up everything he ate was “organic “. Have a donut on me !

Hi,
I have tried that granola it is good, but that same company makes a vanilla-almond Snackaroon’s that are the best thing ever!!!!
Another really good snack, is by Thrivin’ Edibles, HuuRaw Chips!
http://www.thrivinedibles.com out of Campbell, CA (we really like the Bell Pepper flavor (they aren’t hot) and the Kale Lime Cilantro)
Have a great time,
Vicki

Your grandfather is soo cute!!! I myself have a grandmother who is 97 years old and still kickin’! haha…. I believe it’s because she’s got such a positive state of mind…always looking at the good in life, sharp and witty and has a ton of faith!!
Thanks for the episode!!!

Bravo for your grandfather. He looks healthy and active. That is great. No, I wouldn’t walk across that bridge. I am fearful of high places.
Hope that corn you ate was not GM corn!

Loved the show/ your grandpa is adorable..
My grandfather is about to turn 92 and I have been working him out at the GYM to keep him STRONG… so hard to see them get older. I told he has to live to at least 100.
Enjoy your time. Blessings, Marina

Hi Kevin & Annmarie!
What a great show! Wonderful! Your grandfather is so sweet and just like you he has some great advice to give. Really enjoyed listenting to his words of wisdom esp. on safety and keeping your mind active. Very inspirational and educational!
Love Sedona, can’t wait to get there!. The weather looks amazing and yes I have been on the bridge but I can’t remember if I walked all the way over it?
Hiking is beautiful in Sedona. You are having an amazing time there I am sure! Have you checked out the chocolate cream pie at Raw Bliss? Well maybe Annmarie can check out the pie and Kevin can check out the other treats.
Raw Bliss Cafe ships out their raw treats so maybe you could do a tour of the kitchen and have some treats for a show while your there. They have a fabuloso Yerba Matte Tea, the best ever!
L.G. EAT WELL LIV BETR!!!!!! Makes the best Vanilla snackaroons know to man kind. Another great I love to share food. If food creates much joy and happiness then Snackaroons are at the top of the KARMA list. YEP! YEP! YEP! The granola is great but the snackaroons are like heaven. OK maybe I’m hungry. They are just flippin fantastic and GOOD FOR YA TOO!
Maybe a show on raw food snacks you can buy would be cool. It’s always nice to have some back up now and then that gives a bit of variety.
Can’t wait to see you two at RSF continue to have an amazing adventure!
Love, Light, and Peace,

Your grandfather is awesome Kevin. What a great spirit he has and his enthusiasm and passion for life really comes across. How interesting that he takes virtually no medications. I’m sure that’s helped him to maintain his health.
Arizona looks really beautiful, I wish I was there! I would definitely cross the bridge but be a little bit scared doing it! You can’t really pass up that sort of opportunity when faced with it.
Thanks for an inspiring show

Thank you for letting those of us “stuck” here at home the opportunity to experience so many events through you and your show. It is so awsome, I mean how else would I get to see what David Wolfe has in his frige!? I loved the clip with your grandfather. He is something else! My grandmother will turn 97 in Dec. and she lived on her own in a apartment up until a few months ago. She developed atrial fib which gave her just a bit of confusion and forgetfulness. The doctor encouraged her to move into a facility where she will have someone checking in on her throughout the day. Other than her forgetfulness she is doing great. Her mother lived to be almost 102 years old, and she still had a great memory up to the very end. Hopefully that means I’ve got some longevity genes. Put that together with my healthy habits, and I should be good to go!! See ya tomorrow on the next Renegade Health Show!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa! BTW, about SunWarrior. I’ve only been making smoothies for about six months. I started with hemp protein. Mike Adams suggested SunWarrior protein so I tried it. I like it MUCH better than hemp – it goes down much smoother. Kevin, do you know of any good tai chi DVD’s? Thanks for your great shows.

Hey Kev/Annmarie,
tried looking up the laughing giraffe granola online, but couldn’t find where you could order online. Not sure what the correct web address is, but found one online, but it didn’t show the products they carry or how to order them. So if you could research into that and get the info, would appreciate it.
Don’t think I would cross that bridge. I am from Arizona (Tucson) by the way but have never been to Sedona.
lots of love,
Cindy

Great episode!
I loved the interview with your grandpa(can see the energy runs in the family).
The corn was awesome, I so wasn’t expecting that but think it must have been a great snack. I’ve been buying extra lately so I can freeze some good raw corn for colder months. Did you get any weird looks on the plane?
9:03 pm on September 10th, 2008
I lived in Arizona 7 yrs, don’t you just love the hiking? The desert is ever changing, real beauty. Sure, I’d walk the bridge!
Corn looked good too!Your grandpa is amazing, with his genetics and your healthy lifestlye, you’ll probably be blogging a long time!!!

Great scenery in Arizona, I love it there. I would definately walk across the bridge! (unless it was really windy)
The granola sounds great, but not as great as the raw granola I make.

Dude, did you get a haircut, LoL. I’ll have to check out the raw granola and see if its in my area, might be good for camping trips but usually I make my own stuff. Also, my aunt is 90, she is quite the sugarhound, she loves pie and cake, I don’t know how she does it, I think longevity runs in the family.

“Pop pop” brought tears to my eyes. He reminded me so much of my father.
And yes, if I ever have the chance..I will do the devil and stomp his….
Wonderful episode and I thought of my own father and then most recently a dear friends father.
I miss my dad. Treasure them, our elders, be them pop pops, pap pas, grampas, grandpas, granddads, dads, daddies, fathers …treasure them. And learn what they have to teach us.

Thank you Kevin and Annemarie for a lovely episode. I coincidendally bought laughing giraffe granola this week for the first time at our local whole paycheck (as we affectionately call it here) and love it! Really good. Loved the clip of Pop Pop… Have you tried Ani Phyo’s recipe for ‘butter’? 3 t coconut oil and 1 t white miso mixed together, it’s great on corn!
