    Hey Kevin!

Im very partial to grass-fed Bison meat. The Bison are fed purely grass, NOTHING else. Also, Bison is very low in fat. Im extremly health conscious and was wondering if you could tell me of any negatice consequences of including this in my diet. What is the advantage of a vegan diet when i can’t see anything unhealthy about Bison meat. I would love to hear your opinion and be quick to change myne if i am wrong.

    lOVE YOUR SHOW!!

    Hello Kevin,

Yes, really, eating meat is so bad in so many levels … I second what Morrissey once wrote : Meat Is Murder.

Ooops, my vegan vitamin B 12 is cyanocobalamin and it’s the only vegan one available in my HFS … :(
Please, note that I wrote HFS !! ;)

    Here is my question :
As I don’t want to be butchered by a lasik surgeon, I wear contact lenses and one of the solutions that I use contains poloxamine 1107, hydroxyalkylphosphonate, chlorhexidine gluconate (0.003 %), polyaminopropyl biguanide (0.0005 %), glucam 20 and hydroxypropylmethyl ccellulose.
On the long range, could it damage my eyes ?

    Many thanks in advance.

You and Annmarie, have a beautiful week.

Oh my gosh! Thanks for the info on leg cramps. I was referred to you by Pixywinks who pointed out that you talked about them today b/c I just posted about my experience on my blog yesterday about it. Synchronicity perhaps? Pixy and i both think so. Anyway, very interesting. I was dehydrated and low on minerals due to an unhealthy choice but now I know. :)

    Hi Kevin,
Leg cramps/spasms can also be caused by lack of magnesium. I don’t know if there is any in sea salt, but there is in sunflower seeds. During both pregnancies I suffered from leg spasms. I would wake up at night when most relaxed and have my muscles contract/spasm. Not fun at all-they hurt alot. Magnesium supplements got rid of them. It is also recommended that pregnant women supplement with Magnesium because it is supposed to reduce the pain in contractions.

    Kevin –
Thank you for another great & informative show.
I am attempting to “go green” with my diet and have SEVERAL health issues-(Osteoarthritis, tinninitis, cateracts & eye floaters, heart blockage, high levels of lead, arsenic, cadmium, & mercury. along with skin cancer, stress, anxiety & depression.)

Blood tests show that I must avoid ALL WHEAT glutten (icluding baker’s & brewer’s yeast) and ALL DAIRY (including goat’s milk) along with ALL types of BEANS (except “waxed” beans – the green & yellow kind). I also would like to cut down on my sugar cravings but find I have no energy without it. How can I get enough protein? Im afraid that that hemp would show up on my drug tests for work. I now take LOTS of vitamins & supplements. My DHA/EPA suppliment is made from fish, and helps with my depression but I don’t like taking so many pills all the time.(about 20 pills over the course of the day.) My kitchen looks more like a drugstore – got any ideas on how I can straighten all this up?

    Thanks again for your shows.
    – Steve

    Hi Kevin,

I eat as healthy as possible for me, I eat poultry, fish, legumes, fruits, but I still have not found out which is the best breakfast for me as I have need of plant/or other protein for breakfast. I made bodybuilding for 12 years, but 3 years ago I found out that the drinks and all that cramp is poison for my body. since that time I have been looking for the right and cheap price proteins for breakfast and evening meals. Breakfast is the hardest: I do not eat any dairy (alergies), I do drink rice milk (very very expensive), I wanted to eat soy but I read to much bad stuff about it so I stopped that also. I just do not eat enough protein for breakfast and for dinner. Pleae help as I am still doing a lot of sports and just need a little bit more of protein than the average person. I am living in Germany and here you do not get all the products you get in America or Canada or abroad at all.
In August I will be in the US for vacation for 3,5 weeks and I need to know what I can eat for breakfast and for dinner. I do want to stay healthy and do not want to spend too much on the protein sources as they are rather expensive. I take Spirulina but as I heard today there is not all in there which I thought was in there.

    Thank you for advise.

    Greetings

    Tanja

Is there, to your knowledge, any dietary aid as heel spurs can be caused by inflammation?

HI Kevin and Annmarie, This question may be for Annmarie. I can’t seem to sprout without molding I have put my sprouter in indirect light and direct light and total darkness and they still mold. I use only filtered or spring water. When I use my sprout bag it seems to work better on some of the bigger sprouts like bean and wheat berries. Any suggestions.
    Frustrated!!!

Raw Cacao is a good source of magnesium which should help with cramps. Do you drink infusions such as herb teas or do you consider them not to be raw. I love my warm herbal teas and regard them as very medicinal. thanks for your positive vibes.

thanks kevin we luv your show so much.
    – how much and what kind of seaweed do you eat daily?
    – do you have any special knee and hammi injury exercises for rehab recoop? i am beyond rehab and still looking for exercises that dont hurt in the wrong way. seems walking and gentle stretching is best for me so far but that doesnt really target some leg muscles like my old routine used to. i realize this is a multilayered kinda complicated question that maybe depends entirely on each person’s unique injury. i luv fitness fridays, and try alll your exercises so i have wonderful new sets – except for the legs. these days my legs are beginner level.

do you think flaxseeds are fine if you grind a week’s worth and keep in freezer, so you can take out a few tablespoons every day. that way youre only grinding them once a week-ish. i stopped doing this after reading you have to freshgrind.

    Hi Kevin and Annmary

I had PPMS for 18 years
I my diet for the last three years has been a diet of 70% raw food. I do a water fast for 24 hours every week and ten days twice a year. Some of my problems are improving very slowly, but I am still so stiff in my lower back and legs that I have a hard time getting any exercise, that I know I need.

    Should I eat more raw?
Should I fast more or less?
What can I do to help with my stiffen?

I would appreciate your thoughts on my dilemma.

    Thanks Lance

    Hi Kevin,

Regarding B12- I never heard so much buzz about this vitamin till I became a raw foodist and I am still unclear even having read Gabriel Cousen’s material- just what B12 does for the body and if we as raw food vegans dont display any of the symptoms of decificiency if it is absolutely necessary we take it.

    Hi kevin and Annmarie!

I was wondering what would be the difference between a ktec blender and a vitmix blender. Is one better than the other? What do you think? I am thinking of making green smoothies. Also is it better to drink vegie juice using a blender rather than a juicer like the green juicer? Hope you can enlighten me.

    Thanks.

Just a couple weeks ago I started having a difficult time sleeping. No matter how much exercise I had done, no matter how much sun I had gotten that day etc etc I could NOT sleep through the night. I was exhausted and getting increasingly frustrated. Then one day I developed a ‘ping’ cramp in my calf which felt like a funny bone hit (why I call it a ping-cramp) which wouldn’t go away for days! My sister mentioned that sometimes lack of calcium can cause muscle cramps, so I started taking a calcium multi (with K, magnesium, boron etc) and all of a sudden I could sleep and the next day my leg was better. So now I’m cramp free and well-rested…it’s lovely!

From my understanding of the vitamin B-12, we have a long-term supply in our bodies so do not need it on a daily basis. What is more important than eating tons of meat to get your RDA of B12 is to have your digestive system working properly (ie, eating clean and avoiding animal food products) so that you can absorb properly the smaller amounts that vegans get along the way; like a slow and steady wins the race kind of thing. So that’s how I understand it. If that’s incorrect Kevin PLEASE let me know!! Thanks!

    Kevin,

I bought 100% natural Hawaii spirulina Powder from Now Foods. They wrote that they contain5 mcg Vit B12 per serving, which correspond to 83% RDA. Is it possible?
I try to increase my raw food to 80-90% of my diet with large green smooties. I feel very good, but I have to go to the restroom each 2 hours and 2-3 time during the night. What’s happen with me ? When I increase my vegan cooked food, it stops !
    thank for your comments

Dear Kevin, Love your show! thank you for all of the info. I have a question for you re: raw, sprouted, dehydrated buckwheaties. I have not been able to come up with a calorie/fiber and fat content for this and would very much like some help on it. I am presently doing weight watchers and do some raw as well as am a vegetarian. I love the buckwheaties granola( w/ nibs and gojis ) and want to include this, but the way I have been using it takes most of my daily points. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me figure out the calories and fiber of 1 cup buckwheaties. also the gojis and nibs – Presently I don’t have an oz scale.

    thank you, Linda

Barry Mayo, your numbness neurological problems are likely from lack of a good variety of EFAs. Raw grassfed butter is a healthy place to start. You’ll notice the difference over limiting diet right away. Raw inclusive diet is awesome! Warning: only for weak humans. Strong ones bare with dying nerves. Try greens and fruit. I know you’re trying to do a good thing by teaching veganism Barry Mayo, but you live with the consequences, and they are degenerative. I came off vegan diet a few years ago. I had suffered bone thinning for 22 years of my life, and I had already started narrow framed. The first thing I used was home cultured grassfed raw dairy. Withing a month and a half my bones got wider, stronger and apparently longer. My joints got flexible, there are blessings we are ignorant of. Do what you will.
