Hey Kevin-FYI~tried to register at HBS and it is coming up Page Not Found.

One of my action steps towards my perfect day is pricing out a greenhouse and aquaculture system. When I arrive at my perfect day, I will have a greenhouse to grow all my own fresh produce!

Excited about your recipes, Annemarie, on the raw nori rolls and seafood salad! I had an amazing seafood salad in Kauai and I would love to be able to re-create it . . .

    Hi Kevin,

My action step towards my perfect day was buying software to start my own website. When I’m on my perfect day, I’ll be writing about all the things that are in my heart and helping others achieve their perfect. Wink!

    Hi Kevin,

I actually did take one step already, and that was getting my MP3 player up to date and charged so I had it to go walking today. I have been doing much better on the diet part, I hate the word ‘diet’ so I guess I should say healthier eating instead. Sounds better!!

The top things I need to do ASAP that come to mind are …
    - Find a good pair of walking sandals
    - Buy a new bike, want to find a decent one for about $300 (any thoughts)
    - Renew my passport
    - Finish reading Omnivore’s Dilemma and get to reading ‘Next’ this summer.
    - Doing a major cleanout in my apt, many things that can go to Freecycle I don’t need.
    - Making plans to be around positive people!

Love the Johnny 5 Cam :)

Awww,Johnny 5 cam is so cute!

I’m so tired I don’t think I can get my head around formulating action steps right now…would like to be eating more highly mineralised foods though so I guess growing sprouts with ocean water solution would be one – or in fact getting some ocean grown solution first!!

Hey Kevin.. I’ll share 2 of my perfect day action steps with you because they both originated from your site…

The first was to sign up for your health book summaries website because I was getting overwhelmed by the amount of reading I wanted to do, but could not seem to find the time to do.

The second is to start sprouting. I was really impressed with your free audio with Sproutman Steve Meyerowitz and didn’t know that using a jar would increase the possibility of mold on the sprouts. That is what they taught us to use when I went to some of the raw food prep classes last year. I now know better and will use the nut bag. Sometimes its meant to be that we don’t get started on something until the time is right. Steve made a lot of sense when he said sprouting is a way of getting your nutrients from fresh produce all year round when you live in a climate that doesn’t support outdoor gardening 12 months of the year.

Thank you Kevin. I wouldn’t have taken these action steps if it hadn’t been for you.

My first step is to start the day with a prayer, like setting my intention in positive thoughts so when I step out of bed I am energised and ready for awsome actions.

You and Anne Marie are really something. Thank you for all that you do. I am learning so much and admire the two of you so much. I really like the way you interact. Nutrition is one of my passions and my perfect day and part of my perfect day is listening to you and some of my other favorite folks talk about Nutrition and Spirituality. I know you two are young, but there are a whole lot of women my age dealing with perimenopause and menopause and whether to take bioidentical hormones or what to do. Some of the “alternative natural health teachers” talk about it, but I don’t hear a lot from the raw vegan teachers or teachers that teach a lot about that. Thanks so much for all you do! Blessings! You are a wonderful force for Good and an Inspiration, Kevin!

    Hi Laura,

Not to take away from what Kevin’s answer to your question will be.. but I thought I would share my experience of perimenopause and menopause with you. I went through early menopause at 42 (almost 9 years ago) and perimenopause from 36-42. I was on HRT when the results of the study came out warning of the dangers of synthetic hormones. I was on them for osteopenia at the time.

I quickly came off of the synthetic hormones and was back to all of the horrible symptoms of menopause.. hotflashes, nightsweats, mood swings and fatigue, to name a few. I found 2 things that totally alleviated my symptoms and made me feel like I was 20 again. In the alternative health area, I tried progesterone cream which worked really well for me. I think the raw vegan community would probably recommend ‘maca’, the other thing that worked really well. You can’t use both at the same time because they counteract each other, but I tried them at different times and both were really successful at alleviating symptoms when I was in the midst of the hormone spikes.

There came a point several years after menopause, where maca was starting to produce the hot flashes again instead of keeping them at bay, so I stopped taking it and never had a symptom again. I think that might have been the point when my hormones had stabilized out. I’m fine now at 51.

Progesterone cream and maca counteract each other because progesterone cream, while increasing your ratio of progesterone to estrogen to reduce estrogen dominance, will suppress your own progesterone production, while maca is an adaptogen which stimulates your own hormone production to normal levels.

A few other things I did that may have contributed to alleviating my symptoms was to work on becoming more alkaline by adding a lot more fruits and vegetables to my diet, and by cutting out dairy.

    Hope this helps you.
    Bernadette
