I wake up, I water my plants, I eat some raspberries from my garden, do some skiping and then go for a walk.

Okay Kevin… Silly question time, LOL. I’m not sure I’m getting the assignment. Are we supposed to write out our perfect day as we would LIKE it to be? Or a perfect day that we could actually experience right now? Is it an exercise to help us work towards our goals so that our days can be what we want them to be? Because a perfect day that I could experience tomorrow is different than what I think my perfect day COULD be if I achieve certain goals. Am I making sense?

I wondered if you ever heard of livingbeyonddisease.com? I heard her on the radio one nite while driving, and now listen to her on livingbeyonddisease.com. I would like to know what you think? Shirley

I love this…even the idea of this exercise makes me excited! Humm…let’s see… From 6am to 7am I arise, pray, and meditate for about 20 mins, then I do a morning yoga routine. Next, I have a delicious summer fruit smoothie. It’s time to wake up Brian (my 7 year old). He wakes up smiling, and excited, gets dressed and enjoys some of the smoothie. Together we talk about how beautiful of a day it is and is going to be, then I take him to the child care….

Here goes……
For one thing I would be living in Germany. So my daughter and I are walking my 5 year old grandson to school. Along the way we stop to pick edible flowers to take to the new RAW food cafe that my daughter and I own. Then we spend the rest of the day with all the amazing Raw food junkies in the area.
How is that.

Thankfully, many of my days are pretty darn perfect so I have little of consequence to complain about. But my “perfect hour” of a “perfect day” would be between 7 and 8 AM. I would get out of bed, brush my teeth, pull on my most comfortable workout clothes, empty the dishwasher, have a delicious cup of coffee and read the paper at my kitchen table as sunshine fills the room. I would be doing all this in the absence of the otherwise inevitable daily pain upon rising that radiates from my lower back, through my glutes and down the back of my leg forcing me to gulp way too much Advil for breakfast in order to be able to simply function. Sometimes it’s the simple things that mean so much!

my perfect hour would be around 8:00am sitting on my porch swing watching the birds at the feeder. listening to the rooster crow and the quietness of the country life .the smell of a morning rain at a nice 75 degree temp and planning my duties in the garden for that day. sometimes we all get caught up in our lives that we don’t just stop and smell the roses. we all should live like we were dying .like the song from Tim MCgraw

This question has nothing to do with today’s show, but I need to know What Has Happened To the Almonds? I make almond milk and the almonds are not the same as a month ago. They have a scum when soaking and the milk from them is scummy and has lots of sediment.I do not squeeze the nut bag any more and I have to drain the milk through the bag 3-4 times.

Since I’m now raw my perfect day is teaching the health benefits of raw living foods. I started a raw food meetup and pot luck. Now I have to teach others how to create delicious raw dishes. I’m not a pro but I do alot of research and watch your Wednesday in the kitchen which give me alot of helpful hints. But I believe my true calling is a raw food chef. What a difference from being a truck driver by trade.

A perfect hour of a perfect day for me would be the dinner hour: My husband and son (14) join me 15 minutes before we eat to ask ‘what can they do to help get dinner on the table?’ One sets the table while the other tidy’s up the counters and cutting board. We laugh together about things that happened during the day and share what our day was like. As we sit down to eat, we reflect on the blessings in our lives for a moment and then dig in to a simple and satisfying meal of perfectly ripe cantalope wrapped with dulse and a large, delicious salad of spinach, strawberries and pecans. We have fun during our meal just being together, and clean up together too – so it only takes a few minutes. After dinner, my son goes off with his friends to skateboard and my husband and I take the dog out for a walk around the lake. The air feels like heaven after a hot day – only 77 degrees. Ahhh life in the mountains.

The first hour of my perfect day would include waking up naturally, without an alarm clock, and no where to rush off to.. opening my eyes to the beautiful sunlight outside, fresh cool air flowing through the window screen.. the temperature outside being not too hot and not too cold, around 78-80 degrees F.. all of my cats sleeping by my side. I would take my time getting up, fill the bath tub with warm water, lavender essential oils and maybe a little Himalayan sea salt.. soak in the tub for about 20-30 minutes making sure the water stays warm.. I like to add hot water at regular intervals.
Jets would be a nice addition to my perfect hour.. although we don’t have them, but I am guessing we can make up what ever we think our perfect day would include.. and then getting out of the tub into a cozy bath robe and receiving a phone call where someone on the other line informs me that I have just won a million dollars!! .. so that I can afford all the organic raw food that I desire, buy the most wonderful water purification system that exists and eat out at the most nutritious raw food restaurants that are available to me… to be continued next week.

One hour of my perfect day. I choose lunchtime. I’d prepare some wholesome raw treats in my spacious sun-filled kitchen, and pack them in a cooler. Then I’d walk to the river/beach/lake with my husband and dogs and we’d enjoy the beautiful weather and play with the dogs. After lunch, we’d lie down for a while and enjoy the quiet, the sound of the water, the feel of the grass and the sun on our skin. Then time to go home and continue writing my latest blockbuster

Ok, my perfect morning is to wake up early with the sunrise, drink some water and do a workout, have a good stretch and do a little meditation before drinking more water and then showering. Other elements that make a perfect day for me are learning new information on subjects such as health, longevity, metaphysics, philosophy etc. and spending time in the company of like minded people.

In my perfect day from 2pm to 3pm From 2pm to 3pm…I would be sitting in a field of spring flowers. I can smell the sweet earth now, underneath my legs as the sun bathes me with its healing rays. Pretty little white butterflies with purple spots gently rest on my arms and fingers and then fly away with the breeze. The air is clear, cleansing my lungs with clean oxygen. Everything in this moment is perfect as I do absolutely nothing but lay here wondering about things and watching myself wondering. Indefinite time goes by and I do not even wonder about anything at all. Everything around me comes alive and I can see deeper into a living matrix that holds everything…I am right where I want to be – at peace.

Brush my teeth.Get dressed.Make breakfast smoothie.1 half banana,1tbs flax seed,1tbs chia seed,2tbs hempseed.Mixed nuts.Almond, walnuts, brazil nuts and 1 kiwi fruit.2 slices of pinapple. After breakfast I watch the sunrise then take the 2 dogs for a walk and let them socialize with other dogs. The walk is not complete without driving by the ostrich and llama farm. Then I come home and take a shower and do some dance exercises.By this time it’s time to make lunch.Make a salad with my own fresh ginger dressing with cold pressed flaxseed oil.The salad has cucumbers ,onions ,garlic, spinach and lettuce with 2 tbs hempseed and everthing except the kitchen sink. Then I turn on some meditating music and study my course for about to hours. For my afternoon snack I have a good sized watermelon by itself.Melons should be eaten alone without any other food.Get chicken ready to put in the oven for supper. No microwave oven in my house. After supper and dishes I check my email then I play a computer game for about an hour. Then I plan my meal for the next day.I read some more then get ready for bed.

My first hour of a perfect day is to wake up, drink a cup of coffee or tea in silence and no lights, just slowly relaxing with various thoughts running through my head. I suppose it would be my own way of meditating.

Hi Kev,
I’ll take a little time and indulge in this assignment…
In the first perfect hour of a perfect day, I would wake up just before 5:00 without an alarm (like I usually do). I say thank you God for waking me without an alarm. I’d check the temp, so I know how to dress for my walk/run. It’s 55 degrees. Perfect. Not too humid, so I won’t look like a chia pet when I’m done. Dressed, fairly new shoes with lots of spring in them, because even on this perfect day, the blacktop is hard. The walking part of the morning is great, reving up, heart rate going up, breathing harder… Now it’s time to break into a run. Yes! Nothing hurts today! I can run two miles, maybe three! Just listen to the sound of my feet hitting the ground, the gait in beat with my breathing, I could call cadence with it, it’s so smooth and regular… I feel so free, so strong… Hey look, there’s that pair of owls again, I thought all the developments sent them in serch of a new home. Time to head for home, the hill is a piece of cake today – so to speak! Hey, I just noticed, no stinky cars passed by me today, making it hard to breathe, ahhh. Cool down, almost home. Time to stretch, yeah, no mosquitos – this is a perfect day! And this is just the begining!
Yep, the assignment was fun, and worth the time,
Thanx,
Jeanne SDR

I take my first long, hard pull at the icy-cold golden brew, as the giant orange ball of summer sun suspends low upon the horizon, spilling millions of tiny diamonds across acres of rice stalks, growing green against the glistening water – only momentarily disturbed by the beloved golden lab, as he bolts toward the fat,red tail of a Louisiana crawfish…

Hi Kevin
Herbs or drugs. I would do herbs for me. My story: my doctor wanted to give me pills on pills for my sciatica and I said, NO, NO. She sent me to a therapy and the hospital. The Dr said that I would not be able to walk very well. I said yes I would. I walked 6 miles a day, my 20,000 steps and some mind meditation. I could hardly stand within 5 minutes and had to walk and sit every few steps. Now I can stand up to 6 hours in one go and walk long distances. I think it depends on your philosophy about ‘medicines’. I was talking all kinds of junk to lose weight until I went raw and the pounds cried on their way from my body, smile. I feel that herbs will do just as well with one’s conditions. Do what you feel is the right thing for yourself to be healed and free from dis-ease and discomfort.

My imaginary perfect day. I would wake early just before the sun comes up and talk walk on a deserted beach, collecting shells and talking to the birds. I want to have some time for foraging and hiking, but also some time to either work on my jewelry or read an awesome book – and I’d finish the day much the same way it started. Hubby can come along too
Listening to him play guitar over an evening campfire on the beach would be pretty cool.

My perfect day would be to wake up earlier before my 7 year old and head out for a walk by 9:00. We would then return home refreshed and ready for a smoothie that my son would drink willingly. We would look at the garden and talk about life appreciative of all that we have.

My perfect day would be to sleep in until 10 am. Get up, go to McDonald’s and stuff my face with processed food and junk, then go home and take a nap and get up again by 4:00 and go to Pizza Hut to stuff my face again.
