I loved the swings. They were the best!
However, the ride-a-frog is looking pretty delicious right now

I’m still laughing about the frog
Those are great ideas, I love that most of your stuff is doable in real life. I think there is a playground I can make part of my walking route this summer, will have to incorpate some of these to try.
My favorites in terms of memories are older swingsets (think 70’s/80’s). In place of some swings there were hanging rings and bars to flip around and hang on. Then there was the giant upside down metal hexagonal dome we would climb on, hang from and most often pretend was a DeathStar (yes I was 70’s child
and we ‘played’ Star Wars!).

WOW Sarah, those were my favorite things! The merry-go-round was great when there were a bunch of kids there to push it. The see-saw was fun, like you said, if you had a partner. Once, my partner jumped off during recess when the bell rang. That sudden jump made me shift on the see-saw. I was FULL of splinters (they were wooden “back in the day”)and had to go to the nurse. Some she couldn’t remove, and then I had to go to the doctor. Quite embarasing for an elementary student!!! The swing was the best when nobody wanted to hang with you! I still love the swing even today!

I loved the swings! I could swing for hours at a time. The merry-go-round was my second favorite, but only if an older kid was pushing and pushing fast!! Great video today. I’ll definitely look forward to taking my kids to the park next week! Thanks a bunch. Blessings!

Hi Kevin,
We had a swimming pool in our playground and I think I loved being in the water the most. I loved doing hand stands once I got the hang of holding my breath under water.. wish I could still do that.

My favourite ride was the swing – I loved swinging so high in the air – I felt so free. The best part was jumping off from a height – I don’t think I’d do that now though!!

The merrygoround. I still go on one if I can. They don’t seem to be around anymore.

You guy are making me want to go back to 4th grade recess!
Jenn, you should have seen how many “outtakes” it took us to get the frog thing without any laughter. It was a riot!

OK! Ya got me to respond on this one!! It was just TOO MUCH fun watching you and thinking about all my playground memories past and present – I usually do whatever my grand kids do when I’m there with them – and now, thanks to you I’ve got some “grown up” things to do, too!
Past favorite: Sitting and swinging in those big wooden swings that have two bench-like seats facing each other, preferably with at least one friend. (I was a pretty lazy kid!)
My current fave – definitely The Frog! Or Hippo. Or whatever animal characters the particular playground I’m at has. And yes – I can definitely understand why it took you a bunch of takes to shoot The Frog!! I think it’s the gravity shift and trying to balance that makes it so hilarious until you get the hang of it. If I’d lean the slightest bit too far in any direction I’d start to soar in that direction, out of control. Life is full of challenges. And fun. Thanks Kevin! You’re the best! Always having fun and being helpful. ( :

welllll – - I grew up in the country – - and going to town and playing in the park was one pretty BIG and RARE deal
.
. Yep, people look at ya funny – but who cares – makes the second half of the workday go much better.
On those rare events, my favorite was the merry-go-round – for the simple reason that my mom and dad told me it was VERY dangerous – - and THAT made it the most fun of all..(it was low to the ground and a couple of kids had fallen off and trapped a leg underneath it – - I guess it WAS pretty dangerous come to think of it!!).
Here’s something I still do – - when things at work get REALLY bad, then,at lunchtime, I take a break on the swings at the nearest park – and go as high as I possibly can
Keep it coming, you guys – you’re doin great. Dede

Great show!!!
Many times we overlook great areas and ways to get our exercise, and have a little fun doing it!!! My favorite has to be the teeter totter (spelling???) Keep up the good work.
