My favorite post workout drink is filtered water from my Lotus water filter system with a little bit of lemon juice, and if I am hungry a cold wedge of watermelon or any other melon. I am also from now on going to drink some of the delicious lemonade from the recipe that you gave us a few days ago.

I like to drink O.N.E. (one natural experience) 100% Coconut Water. I get it from Whole Foods I’m not sure if its raw. I also like to eat some fruit after a workout.

P.S. I told my sister about this show.

    Have a great weekend.

Thanks for the tips! I’m living in Georgia right now, and it is SOO humid. I never would have thought to drink coconut water; that sounds yummie!

I usually have a banana after I work out :)

Brendan Brazier has an awesome ginger papaya recovery drink recipe in “the thrive diet” that when made with coconut water is probably the most refreshing thing after a hard workout.

The best product I have been using for years now is Dr Claude Matar’s “Hydration Formula”.
It’s packed with so much minerals and really hydrates me and give me lots of energy.
    I feel great,

    Yves.

I like melon – as lots of water, high GI, and mega enzymes. High GI is the ideal after a workout I’ve read. Coconut water seems interesting, as so many people have mentioned it. Is that a high GI / load drink does nayone know?

    Kevin,
Will you elaborate on drinking “coconut water” and, what kind. I believe you said not in a can.
I’m also interseted in what you eat for breakfast.

    Hi Kevin

Just love to watch the show and your energy. Well my favorite post workout drink is banana shake and strawberry shake.

Coconut water has already been mentioned, and that’s always awesome. When I don’t have access to it, which is most of the time, I love to make a fruit smoothie out of a whole orange, about 1/4 cup of goji berries, and maybe a date or some honey if I want more sweetness. Blend it up with ice until the ice is gone, and Oh Man is that ever a great post-workout elixir.

That O.N.E. stuff is not bad, but it definitely doesn’t taste like fresh coconut water. Not that that disqualifies it from being a good post-workout beverage, just that having had fresh coconut water, the ONE product feels a little off to me.

Richard: better not to consume creatine supplements as you may eventually hinder your body’s ability to produce its own. And anyways, lower protein diets have been associated, through many clinical studies, to lower all-cause risk mortality (as an independent risk factor, too).

NO Haircut! You are just so cute and youthful with your nice curls…..at THIS length. You don’t want it to get too long….just as it is is perfect. Of course, YOUR comfort is more important, so make your decision based on your comfort.
