aww! the video wont work for me atm!
at home (norway) my mum makes this killer nettle soup for me (its vegan, but not raw). its soooo good. and i tell all my friend here (australia) about it, and they dont believe in any way that nettle can be used in 'cooking' at all - nor soup or tea.
lets agree to disagree, thats what i tell them..

keep up the good work!

I love the nettle mini wrap. Can't wait to try it this spring here in Connecticut.

I use to juice them raw and was amazed that the stinging aspect of it was gone after putting it through my hand cranked wheatgrass juicer. Thanks for your raw-isdoms.

Kevin!
I didn't know you were HERE! PLEASE, find the time to come meet our SAN BERNARDINO COMMUNITY GARDEN! It's been relocated to make way for AYSO Soccer Complex in San Bernardino... I'll miss my asparagus beds forevermore!
BUT, our SPECTACULAR mayor, Honorable Patrick J. Morris is working on ANNEXING TEN ACRES to our new San Bernardino Community Garden site!
Our city's arborist, Dennis Garrahan, has a plot and it's a very diverse and HEALTHY place to be!
You know, Dennis was instrumental in me successfully reaching my goal of planting _150_ 15 gallon trees across our city, 10/27/07, as part of The Great Clean Air Tree Planting Project with a grant from AQMD funds and United Voices for Healthier Communities oversight! We added trees to 5 parkway blocks, 4 parks and 3 libraries in San Bernardino! BEAUTIFUL!
We'd LOVE to have you come inland an hour, or so and see the natural wonders of our city "almost on a hill" ~ AND, the very spot Arrowhead Springs bottled water is collected from is only a 14 minute drive from here ~ with Lake Arrowhead only minutes from there! Wouldn't it be AWESOME to SEE where your water's from?
Come on over to my place, like the song says, Kevin! We'll treat you right!

Here's my nettle story: Years ago, never having been familiar with stinging nettles, I encountered some while pulling weeds. The blisters and rash I got were so intense and long-lasting, I sought medical assistance during a previously scheduled appointment! It bears noting: I was pulling fistfuls of them with carefree abandon. Every time I felt an initial sting, I looked for an insect... Like you show in this video, Do it right and you'll be alright!
They're prized in Europe, that I know of, for medicinal properties: Goggle them today, eat them when you may!

Hi Kevin... awesome garden! Thanks for filming it!

I'm not sure I'm totally convinced stinging nettles are delicious... you tried to look convincing..but.......

I know a few organic community gardens are happening in the Hills area of where I live in Perth... and they are probably sprinkled throughout the suburbs but I don't know many.

It is a great idea and one that is accessible for everyone.

Your videos are great!

So I must share with you this story...

When Kevin was studying Edible Weeds a while back he was constantly stopping and picking something and insisting it was this or that... desperately searching for burdock and nettles in our CT woods. He promised me that he would not complain of the sting when he finally finds nettles.

His first discovery was actually on the grounds of Vanderbilt's Mansion in Hyde Park NY. There were batches every where -mostly along the edge of fields. It was obvious they did not want us on the grass :-)

He was so excited to finally discover them and wanted to pick a bunch for tea. Well his promise was shortly broken, he cried to me for hours and hours...

;-)

All My Love,
