BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. YADA, YADA, YADA. DO IT YOURSELF AND SEE HOW YOUR BODY SCREAMS AT YOU THAT YOU’RE DOING THE RIGHT THING! YOU WON’T HAVE TO WONDER. THAT’S SCIENTIFIC ENOUGH FOR ME. HOWEVER, IF NOT FOR YOU, THEN GO TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU BEGIN, GET AS MANY ‘LABS’ DONE AS YOU OR YOUR DOCTOR WISHES. BE RAW FOR A MONTH OR 2 OR 3. THEN GO BACK FOR SOME REPEAT LABS. MAYBE THAT’LL BE SCIENTIFIC ENOUGH FOR YOU!

I desire to eat only raw food, but I am not there yet, but I am on my way. I believe it’s the healthy way to go.

I think raw foods are awesome. Gen 1:29 Before Adam ansd Eve Sinned , the food God commanded mankind to eat was every seedbearing plant and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. Not bad for Creations diet. Sounds a bit like the raw food diet. Nothing was mentioned about eating the creatures( Animals) The Animals were to eat every green plant for food.

I wish could hear the raw food summit. Wasnt possible. To me is a loss. When I was young I ate lots of junk food.In my country the processed meat, cheese, salami, sausages, smoked fats, preserved fruits were kind of tradition. A former comunist country, with poor market and poor information…Ppl were busy to preserve everything for winter, cos no imports there. As a ballerina, was hard to kep a diet cos always felt that I have not energy.
And i feel so. And looking at old pics…i realize that now i look better…and almost always smiling. At the last medical check, the chinese doctor did comment ” good health”.
One day I got a booklet as gift…with a title like ” the alive kitchen” (sorry for my broken english). I was looking at the content with some curiousity and thoughtthat is pretty hard to eat raw, and pretty hard to get the ingredients and combine them in the best ways. And put it yn the bookcase among many other books.
Life did bring me in Shanghai, for many years. Its a paradox…because i had many lugagges and i did afford few books. One was with the raw food booklet, a bible ( i was not religious..!!) and few others…also relevant.
I couldnt get on chinese market (that time) what i was used to eat, and somehow i didnt enjoy the chinese food…and started to study the booklet. My curiousity pushed me to read more…on net, chinese traditional diet…and so on. I got my way to feed myself…80% raw food..vegetables and fruits. Still dancing and teaching. Was never sick during these years, not even a flu. I feel excellent, i am working 8 hours/day, seven days of the week, my skin became soft and nice…not a spot on my face. when came here ,at the visa service medical check did find me a hyperbilirubinemia and something called lbbb… till now i dont know what they really mean, but my skin was always bit yellowish.. Now is nice, really nice, and when i tell ppl that i am 46 they say…” wow, you look like 30-35″
I think that people should pay more attention to their body, try to feel it…how it works, and when they dont feel well, instead to take stupid chemicals in their mouth to think what’s the cause. If you dont feel your body, how can you feel what makes you to feel good and healthy?
Too much philosophy around the subject. We are part of nature. Everything it offer us is great.
I dont tell anyone what to eat, because i have not any quality. But I look at my husband who calls me crazy who has a nice big belly, feels sick often, has flu 3 times/year, allergy..and insists that i should eat fat pork meat cos body needs it…
cheers

Hi- I would like to make healthy food available to more people including my parents but because of the perscription coumadin greens have been excluded from the diet.
A person can bleed to death if they eat greens while on this drug. Without vitamin k a person can go blind among other health issues.
I am wondering what a raw food specialist would say or recommend concerning this.

I think Dr. Doug Graham has the true version of eating correctly. I think the rest is a FAD – way too high in FAT. Everyone can have their own version away from 80/10/10 of course and can write a book and add sex to it and spirituality to it.. But if you want the HARD CORE TRUTH _ that will set you free- try reading 80/10/10 – I think it will blow your mind. Kevin needs to read that before doing anymore summits.. It will be not very good without being informed correctly. Thank You!

hmmmmm, I haven’t encountered the ethereal cereal yet, but I switched my cats diet to raw a couple of years ago, and they all have never been healthier than they are on raw. My diet had been 30+% raw until listening to the Raw Foods Summit.Inspired I went 100% raw, included alkaline water, and quit a 30 year cigarette addiction with not too much problem.Was surprised to hear friends and daughter’s comments of radiant and your skin looks better after 2 weeks. I am finding it difficult staying 100% raw. I probably need to be informed correctly. : ){

Hello,
Kevin,
Thanks so much for all of your work to promote this wonderful diet and lifestyle–I’ve appreciated the podcasts and now this blog.
A quick question–I’ve been 100% raw for 3 months but have been having too much weight loss. Feeling drawn to eat cooked food just for the easier weight gain. Do you have any resources to recommend that specifically address this issue?
Thanks for your time!

I”m listening to the raw summit tapes to and frm work—now I journey down country roads for awhile so I can finish a tape at one hearing.
Dr. Graham isn’t much for smoothies because of the lack of fiber, but I usually use a vita-mix to solve that problem. My question: people give lots of recipes for smoothies, but do they use a blender, a vita-mix, or a juice extractor?
Second, I live in a cold climate, and most of my raw food friends live in Florida. I can’t imagine no stews and soups this winter. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the raw summit, Kevin! Lots to think about.
